I’ve been a tenant at one of Tower Realities properties for two years, and they are GREAT. Since I have come to Austin I have dealt with three realty companies, but hands down the best has been Tower Realty. I have been living in my current apartment for about 2 years, when I first moved in it was managed by a smaller company that suffered from bad communication and maintenance. About halfway through the first year, Tower Realty started managing my unit and the difference has been night and day.Their staff is unlike any other realty company I have dealt with. Anna is genuinely caring, she tries to address concerns as soon as they arise and is always quick with her responses. Nick is a great guy who understands the struggles that students go through and tries his best to improve them. He was more than happy to address all the maintenance requests that the previous company refused to. Their maintenance partners are always professional and know what they are doing.I am very glad I ended up being managed by Tower Realty. The only real critique I have is that I usually do not get forwarded the information that the HOA sends out which can be an inconvenience at times as things will happen without me knowing.

I have loved my past few months of living with Tower Realty! Anna is both easy to communicate with and very hard-working; she made the entire signing and move-in process a breeze. My unit itself is lovely too, very spacious and in a quieter area of an otherwise noisy portion of the city. The exterior of my apartment is always so well-maintained and if I ever have a concern it is so quick and easy to get in touch with the property manager. Couldn’t imagine living anywhere else!

I have been here a year and just received the best service. I had reported the issue over two months ago and the previous person would close the order with nothing done. Orders were placed throughout the year with other minor problems and I was dismissed or had to re-issue order..Finally, Danny cared, traveled from Austin to San Antonio to help resolve this and of course I showed him the other things because I feel like a valued tenant.I really love our community and the swift service I received the first time. They work with mortgage brokers to help with financing. They also provide great management services collecting rent and fixing repairs. The process to become a Texas resident is thorough, and Tower guides you along the way and answers all of your questions, including assistance with the school residency questionnaire.

Anna is absolutely amazing!!! We contacted Tower Realty 2 days before we had to be out of our previous residence after the previous apartment complex we’d been working with for 2 months fell through. Anna was able remain calm, cool, and collected while I threw 2 months worth of moving stress at her over the course of 2 days! She was able to get us approved and able to have us sign a lease within that amount of time. She worked harder than any other realtor I’ve ever worked with! On navigating the student housing real estate market, lending process and deed requirements to obtain Texas residency, Chesney Coker is the preeminent expert. For someone who has never done this, it is not obvious to grasp that that (1) investing in student housing is a different market from a typical real estate purchase, and Austin is not your typical market; (2) certain condominiums have warrantability issues, which you later discover makes financing difficult to impossible (Chesney knows many of these off the top of his head); (3) conventional financing may not work if you are purchasing with your child intended at the owner of the property, or if the condo has a high ratio of tenants to owner-residents – (and Chesney has relationships with lenders who understand the end-goal); and more generally, (4) there are other factors and timing issues that require tactical awareness. As a lawyer myself, I have profound respect for Chesney’s knowledge and sophistication in choreographing and strategizing a very tricky, niche process. Please trust me, if you are looking to gain residency to obtain in-state tuition, Tower Realty is THE way, the ONLY way to go. This is a difficult, complicated process with potentially fatal pitfalls. Without going into detail about troubles we experienced using a conventional broker (who was also excellent, but did not understand obscure ways to avoid errors and get to this particular end game) I can attest that seemingly minor moves can be fatal. Chesney is brilliant, strategic and saved us from the jaws of defeat. No one out there knows more about the intricacies of the process than Chesney. On top of that, as a property manager, his team is diligent, thorough, communicative and dogged in their efforts. His team – in marketing, leasing, maintenance, and management – deserve an A plus as well.

I was skeptical about the whole thing actually working all the way up until the residency application was approved because it sounded too good to be true. I called the UT residency office and confirmed the validity of this process more than once. In hindsight, every thing Chesney said about the process and how to go about it was spot on. It is very clear he has done thing many times over and knows the process including resources to go to for all related activities around property purchase. Chesney Coker and his team had a Texas-sized challenge on their hands when we contacted them late last August requesting help to obtain Texas Residency for our Longhorn Daughter. Fortunately, Chesney was quick to act. Not only did he find us a beautiful home to establish domicile in record time, we closed without a hitch in less than 3 weeks. Subsequently, we followed all his instructions on what was needed to do over the next 12 months to establish our daughter as a true Texas Resident. Being from out of state, this was at times challenging as our daughter had to do most of the leg work herself. In the end, the University of Texas Residency Questionnaire was completed and all necessary documents were uploaded to UTs portal. Less than 24 hours later our LHD received notification that she was now classified as a Texas Resident and eligible for in-state tuition. Thank you Chesney Coker and Tower Realty! Our daughter is thrilled to be a Texas resident and we are thrilled to have saved so much money with in-state tuition!

Our family has been using PMT, and specifically, Chesney Coker for several years now. We started working with Chesney when we contacted him and he suggested that our daughter, who was going to be an out-of-state Freshman at UT could qualify as a resident after one year of property ownership in Texas. So we purchased a property just before her freshman year, and for the following three years she qualified for in-state tuition, saving us thousands of dollars in tuition. Since then he has helped my family in 2 more property purchases, plus the sale of the original property and the rental management of one of these properties. Through all these experiences he has been a man of integrity and responsiveness. He was patient with us showing many properties until we found the ones that best fit our price and needs. He immediately found a buyer for my property when we decided to sell it, and coached us through all the paperwork. When renting one of our properties, we always had good renters who paid on time, and when turning the rental over it was quickly prepared for the next renter.Our experience has been very positive, and we plan to use PMT again next year when we sell one of properties. They are really easy to access, they update their units to look very nice, and they work as fast as they can with maintenance (sometimes they even just give you brand new things instead of fixing the old which to me is great). Charla and Chesney are super supportive and easy going people, if you ever have a problem they will take care of you.
