I’ve been living at St. Elmo Living for about a year, and it’s been one of my best renting experiences in Austin. When I signed my lease, the property was under a different management company, but by the time I moved in, it had been sold to new ownership. The transition was chaotic, as the new team was locked out of the old system and lost a lot of renter information.Despite these challenges, the current leasing and property management staff did an excellent job navigating the tough transition. My apartment wasn’t ready on move-in day, but MaryAnn, the property manager, went above and beyond to ensure my move was as smooth as possible and quickly resolved any issues.Some reviews mention dissatisfaction with the new management, but in my experience, they’ve been a hardworking, caring, and proactive team. Maintenance requests are addressed extremely quickly, and the leasing staff—especially Billy, Sebastian, Jessica, and Hugo—are always friendly, professional, and willing to help. They managed to accomplish a lot, even while being understaffed early on.One major frustration for me was the lack of a dog park, which the previous management frequently advertised but never delivered. However, within the first few months, the new team implemented a great solution—another win that I think some tenants overlook.The property itself is beautiful, modern, and well-designed. Since it’s a newer building, I’ve experienced very few issues with my apartment or the property as a whole. That said, hallway cleanliness has been inconsistent recently, which is one area I hope they improve.Overall, I’ve happily renewed my lease for another year and don’t regret my decision to move here. Experiences will vary in a large complex like this, but I believe St. Elmo Living has done a great job creating a positive living environment.

I toured 10+ complexes in the Austin area before choosing St. Elmo Living and have had nothing but a wonderful experience since my initial tour. Johnte and all of the leasing staff are amazing, welcoming, attentive, quick to communicate, caring, and helpful. They have a security guard at night that carefully patrols the parking garage and the complex, which I appreciate. Amenities are stunning, location is up and coming and walkable to places like The Yard, it’s very close to downtown, and the residents here are kind and respectful so far.

Final Update:I will give Westdale a lot of credit here. Theyve definitely taken to heart the tenants concerns regarding safety and community upkeep. There has been security on site every night as of last month and the communication from management has improved greatly.I appreciate management taking safety seriously and making some very helpful improvements. Since then crime on the property has gone way down and I feel much safer walking around at night and for my vehicle. Feeling hopeful for their team continuing to make this property a great place to live in Austin.***********Updated Review:Its sad that Ive had to lower my initial review of this property, but I feel its imperative to do so with a new management team.Since Westdale has taken over weve seen maintenance of the property overall decline quite a bit. Communication via email to tenants is next to none. Weve had break-ins, suspicious people on the property, elevators and doors broken for a month+ at times and never once an email letting us know. A simple heads up that theyre aware and working towards addressing these security concerns could go a long way. Since they seem to turn a blind eye to our concerns, this seems to be the only way to confidently address them and warn others.Ive loved living here for the most part, the community is great and the location is perfect. Its just frustrating to see crime rise and safety protocols fall to the way side for what Im assuming is only to save money. For the rent charged here, there should of been no reason to let security go.If they do a better job moving forward with notifying tenants, improving the security around the complex and being more transparent with future improvements then Im happy to raise my review back up. This complex has a lot of potential and the old mgmt team really did a fantastic job bringing it to life and making us feel safe.The new owners need to do the same. Its important to feel safe where you live, and that should always be top priority above all else for any management company.***********With all sincerity, I can say that this apartment complex has the most personable and caring front office staff Ive ever encountered. Theyve been incredibly helpful over the past few months and they truly care which is something that can be very hard to come by at apartments. The maintenance staff is also extremely professional, kind and have been quick to address any issues Ive had.The apartments themselves are modern, spacious, have great layouts and the location in town is very convenient. There is on-site security and they have been making updates to ensure safety is a top priority.The only downside I can think of is the construction nearby can be quite loud at night, but this is out of the hands of St. Elmo and also wont be permanent.If youre considering moving to a new place in Austin I highly recommend looking into St. Elmo. Their apartments are super modern, safe, and the property management staff is incredible. Looking forward to living here for as long as I can!

I moved in 3 months ago and I am loving it here! It truly gives luxurious vibes. Maintenance completes requests right away, janitors are on the property everyday cleaning, the two pools are beautiful and always clean, and the gym has lots of equipment! Best apartment Ive lived at so far! I never hear my neighbors ever. 10/10

Best experience hands down. Before leasing at St Elmo, I looked at several apartments over a few weeks time and I must say everyone in the office was so kind and helpful! I was admittedly surprised at how responsive the staff was during the leasing process and after I moved in. The location is pretty sweet and close to all the good food spots, shopping and short drive downtown. My apartment is spacious, has tons of storage and I love the number of windows I have in each room. The outside spaces are very nice and coming along great. Im very happy with my decision to move here.

Love this place! The staff here make it an even more enjoyable experience to live here. They are the BEST!Convenient location to major highways and a lot of other suburbs. Renewed my lease for another year and a half as I this place really feels like a long term welcoming and warm home.

The is such a great community! Super friendly staff, the building and grounds are very well maintained. The application and move in process was seamless. Definitely glad I decided to live here after touring other apartments in the area.

So far I have loved living here. Community is peaceful and no trouble so far. I am happy with the security provided at night. Only thing which is lacking in the society is a play area. I would love if we could have some indoor courts like vollyball/basketball/badminton court etc. At the moment theres no sport activity to enjoy for residents.

First of all, St Elmo is indeed a good apartment compared to other apartments in terms of safety and accessibility. Secondly, express delivery and some home appliance repair requests are a bit mediocre, but at least the service attitude is very serious. Finally, there are also disadvantages. For example, there are almost no arrangements for people to replace the air filter on time. The door of the parking lot cannot be said to be broken, but it does not operate normally, which has a certain impact on residents travel. Generally speaking, it is not suitable for long-term living because you will still encounter a lot of maintenance problems.
