I was really skeptical at first due to the high application fee, but we went ahead and tried anyway and the process moved QUICK I’m talking as soon as we put our application in we got our approval in less than 10 minutes! They are very responsive to maintenance requests, they always respond to emails, and they are very polite. I read all agreements before I signed and they really do get into the weeds of every detail, from move-in to move-out process. From my point of view and experience, as long as your a good tenant and follow the agreements/guidelines youll have no issues. I highly recommend them and would definitely rent with them again in the future!

I did see all the negative reviews when I decided to go with hunters . I wanted to finish my lease before giving my option. I have been with hunters for a year this was my first apartment they made it easy transition. They maintained the unit and are very responsive to any maintenance requests. I only had one during my lease. I would definitely rent from them in the future. I would recommend them. Definitely by the book. Rental company. Hunter managed my for over 10 years. They were always quick to call when there was an issue with the property. They understood that I wanted to maintain my home for happy tenants who would rent for long periods of time. They handled a roof replacement for me due to a hailstorm as well and I couldn’t have asked for it to go any smoother. I recently sold my home and the pictures of the home (minus a recent issue that was known and being correct) looked almost like the day I had lived out of it. I have a property somewhere else with a different management company so I have some comparison and I would recommend anybody who is wanting the rent their property to use Hunter to manage it.

I’d recommend this company 100%. I loved my experience with them all through the 2 years I’ve been with them. Sadly it’s coming to an end, due to no fault of the company at all. Back when COVID started it impacted a lot of us, including myself. I remember calling around to many companies, almost losing hope. Until I called Hunter Rentals with my unique situation & they were more than happy & whiling to meet me half way. Also got us into a place very fast & not to forget the place was amazing ! Really did bring so much joy to a young single mother & her child. I’m forever thankful ! No bad experience at all, in any way shape or form. Any maintenance issue I had , it was resolved very fast. Along with any questions I may have had . Was answered by a simple call, email or text. Clearly they won’t be able to accommodate everyone’s needs 100% of the time. Rules are rules but I do believe they do try to go above standards. I hope this helps anyone looking for a good rental company in this area. 👍🏽

Great customer service! Several days after moving out of my rental property, I unknowingly received a package at the home despite having the mail forwarded. I was contacted by Danielle Andrews with Hunter Rentals to inform me of the delivery. We coordinated retrieval of my package because I had already departed the area. My brother successfully picked it up the next morning without a problem. She could have easily had the package returned, but she took time out of her busy schedule to make sure I got it. It was really refreshing to get such great service!

She communicates effectively and in a timely manner. On the most recent turnover my property was vacant for only eleven (11) days. I tell people all the time that if you are going to have rental property on the market make sure you have a good property manager and again in my experience in TX, SC, and NC there is none better than Hunter!

I have had such a great experience renting with Hunter. From the moment we began looking at houses ,to our upcoming move out the staff has been great. When we moved into our house you could tell they take great care and pride into the houses they manage. We had a few things that needed to be fixed, and we received response and action from the maintenance department very quickly. Every person in the front office is friendly and kind, but Missy has provided exceptional customer service every time Ive come in! 4/5 stars for great service with some difficulty mixed in, but they worked with us in the end.I was a little concerned starting out since I saw some negative reviews. It didnt help that we got off to a difficult start due to the homeowners not cleaning their home properly. However, we greatly enjoyed Hunters maintenance crew. They were always friendly, professional, and most importantly they were very knowledgeable and helpful! When it came time to leave we had some more difficulty due to our personal circumstances, but they were very generous in working with us. We also felt that we were great tenants for them as a rental company (I think we left the home in better condition than when we moved in).Some lessons learned:-make sure you put you notice to vacate in on time (up to 60 days)-the closing inspection will be very thorough (we knew this going in and opted to just pay the cleaning fee, but we felt we could have easily passed it if we had a day to do so; they do a white glove inspection and its important to get the nooks and crannies that many will forget about such as the fridge lining, oven lining, above doors and fans, etc.)-realize that no matter what condition the place is when you move in you will be expected to leave it in a very clean condition-always take lots of video/pictures

Ive been renting a house managed by Hunter Rentals for around 8 years now. Ive never had any issues at all from them. When I first moved in my house was broken into. I called their emergency number in the middle of the night (3am kinda middle) and they had someone come out and board up my window right away. I have always paid my rent on time, so they leave me alone. They will send someone out to fix something within the hour or within few days (based on the urgency of the issue). The people are always friendly when they come fix things. Id recommend them to anyone. Like I said though, I pay my rent on time and they leave me alone! Also, I locked myself out of my house one morning and went up to their office before hours and they opened the door for me and gave me a key!

I have been renting with Hunter Rentals for about 7 years. They have been great! They are always very polite and friendly when you need to walk into the office. However, you do not need to go into the office frequently as tenants are able to pay rent online. So convenient! Whenever I put a work order in the problem is handled quickly with no hassle to me. Only once did I have an issue that upset me. The maintenance team forgot to bring the info for my alarm and I was repeatedly disturbed at work about it. I expressed my concerns and they were addressed with understanding and kindnes, the situation never happened again. I even locked myself out once and the office allowed me to pick up a loner key so that I did not have to pay a locksmith. They always do a yearly safety inspection as well as a bug spray. My mom rents through them and unlike other companies who say they will handle any maintenance problem and then dont do anything, Hunter Rentals will make sure it is taken care of. I rented through another company and they were all nice to us since we were potential tenants, once we rented the house they completely changed, they even wanted my husband to repair a wall that the owners put a big hole in, for free. All I want to say be careful who you rent from, Hunter Rentals is a great place to rent from (they also help with purchase of a home).

EDIT: Moved out last month after two and a half years. Overall I had a great experience with this company. All work orders were done either the day of or the next day. Move out was a breeze and we got our full deposit back. I think the people who had problems do not know how to clean properly. All expectations are listed in the lease when you signed it and again when you put in your notice to move out. Being in a military community I feel it is in the best interest of the rental company to be strict and fully compensated so their properties arent damaged. Ive learned that military are the worst to rent to and to move their household goods. It really sucks to be group in with a bunch of slobs that give us a bad rep.The best experience I have ever had looking for a rental. I moved to this area with zero knowledge of the surrounding neighborhoods and was seriously overwhelmed with looking online. Missy at the front desk was the most helpful person and put my mind at ease. She actually listened to what my needs and wants were and paired me up with the best properties with no pressure. You sign out up to three keys and drive to the property by yourself so there is no one breathing down your neck or trying to sell you anything. Missy also told me a certain order to look at the properties so I could get a better picture of the fort hood area, where Texas A&M is (I was interested in continuing my education), where a newer hospital was to apply for a job, and gave me good advice on surround schools and daycares. I loved two out of the four rentals I looked at and signed a lease the next day. Leasing process was easy and online, but you still go in for a hard copy and for the keys. But be aware that when you move out the place is expected to be spotless. All and all I am so happy that I came to hunter rentals, they made everything so easy and Im so pleased with my new home.

Sue Burton is an AWESOME person. When I calls and speak to her, she is readily available, Im military and she takes great care of me. When I was deployed she reassured me that my home will be taken care of. I never had any problems with her or Hunter Rentals. When I call there she knows my voice by heart, that tells you that she really care about her clients. This property is very helpful and resourceful when I first moved in about a year ago they were able to help or point me to the direction of who can assist with electric, water, etc. They are organized and answer back when needing assistance or maintenance. Just be aware. When you move out you will have to have the place SPOTLESS they will find every and any little thing to charge you for. i.e. they charged me for the porch because it wasnt power washed and then charged $75 for the trimming of the sidewalk and front walkway because my house was a corner house. Oh and also grease build up inside the bottom of the microwave that wasnt noticeable to me so I wouldnt know. Things like that.I would suggest to use their cleaning and carpeting service so you arent liable for that. Other than that they are great.
