I cannot say enough about how fantastic Joel Barnard & Associates are as a property management company. We rented a property managed by Diane, and when the time came to move to a new rental, we chose to continue to work with Diane because she and her team were always professional, prompt, and respectful. They take their work seriously and care about both tenants and landlords. It was a pleasure doing business with this management company, especially when finding decent rentals in this market in San Marcos can be so difficult! Always such a pleasure to work with a company where customer service really matters! Thanks for everything!

Absolutely the best property managers and team of people to rent from. In all my years of renting I have never had such high level of service. When we signed our lease Diane told us what their maintenance request turnaround time and I will admit I was skeptical because in my experience landlords tell you what you want to hear when you are signing the lease, then do not follow through. Not here, Barnard Realty philosophy is that they treat their tenants how they would want to be treated and they mean it. Maintenance request turn around time is a matter of a day, they uphold their word, and truly care about the tenants. 5 star service is an understatement, I will be recommending them to anyone looking to buy or rent.

This is by far the BEST renters experience we have ever had. They were fair and attentive to every maintenance need. They respond very quickly if not immediately to any questions. Diane and Roxanne are nothing less than a lifeline! Through the pandemic and snow storm, they have been super responsive and unbelievably understanding as everyone endured such dire times. I have just renewed for a second year with Joel Barnard as they take care of their tenants to ensure fair and more than sufficient housing accommodations. We used Joel Barnard & Associates for 2 years for a rental property in South Austin. They were absolutely the best landlords we have dealt with. They were always just a phone call away for our maintenance requests, updates, etc. They told us what they expected in order to refund the security deposit, we did just that & they issued our full deposit back-just as they had said they would. I would recommend using them for anything needed in the home business.

I started my lease with this company July 2016 with Matthew Chambers, saw through a change in management February 2017, and finished my lease with Diane Barnard in July 2017. I have never been so happy with a property management company than I was while working with Diane. She always answered questions in a timely fashion, gave us good tips on how to effectively solve issues in the home, and was quick to take up requests like trimming the limbs that hung over our driveway. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Joel Barnard and Diane Barnard. I have lived in a Joel Barnard & Associates property for about 7 years. When and if I need something repaired, Joel and Diane are always apologetic and quick to act on the situation at hand. There have been months that I have not been able to pay rent on time. Although the late fee was something I had to pay, they were always understanding of my circumstances. The thing that I love most about my landlords is that I feel like I can go to them with anything and they will be there to help. I feel like they are on my side, and truly want me to be happy living here. I dont hope to always be a renter, but for the time that I am I dont plan on going anywhere.
