I would give them more stars, As a moving stepping stone we gave it a shot to move into one of Alden short rental property. They made it fast easy and hassle free. We live in our house for 3 yrs. Within those years any maintenance request sent to them was handle and and took care of first thing in the morning from light work to full A-C replacement. Really fair affordable market rent option and they are not strict went it comes to some things. Over all if I where to ever rent again Alden Short will be the first one I turn to vs anyone else.Good luck

I chose this property because I am taking care of my father and needed the space. While it is a beautiful property, we did start out with a few issues. All maintenance request were handled swiftly in a timely manner. Israel and Jose are very good at what they do and always make sure that we are taken care of. Great work ethic and good people.

I lived in my property almost a yr and for the most part I havent had any big issues I really like Jennifer Foreman she has always been a big help. I have had a few maintenance issues the last crew they rush the job never was a big help. The new crew they have new management Ms. Carissa was a very great change I love the fact that they jump right on it with having someone to come out no long wait time. The new maintenance crew I really like they have done a job well done.

Hello I am giving this company 5 stars because the application process was quick and easy. There were some hiccups when it came to approving my application but the VP Julie Callahan reached out to me personally and assisted me with being approved . I want to thank her for her hard work and I really appreciate the time she took to make sure I was taken care of and everything she said she would help me with she did just that!!!! I will recommend anyone to rent with Alden Short.

Hi everyone! I wanted to make known that we just leased a home with Alden Short and while we are just moving in, our experience so far has been quite refreshingly pleasant! Michelle Gonzalez contacted us shortly before the close of business to let us know that our application was well received and would be processed first thing the following morning. She was very friendly and chose to call us out of the goodness of her heart even though it was minutes before closing. She actually made our day! Then she was quite friendly, efficient and professional the next day in processing our application as promised! She is an asset to the company,a breath of fresh air and a great representative for Alden Short!

NEW MANAGEMENTIf you are a good resident, you have nothing to complain about with Alden Short. Bad reviews are either old, or from non renters upset their application didnt get approved. Where do I start? The application process was very simple. Ive never filled out such an easy app. Office ladies are very nice and always try to help. Maintenance is ON IT! We moved in and did the usual move in checklist, thinking it was just for when we moved out not to be charged for anything. Well they came within 7 business days and fixed EVERYTHING that was on the checklist, there were at least 20 things. Simple, normal wear and tear on a home, nothing to break the deal. They put the house in perfect shape, they also got rid of the bees that were taking over the backyard. His houses are more than fairly priced, we have a 4 bedroom 1400 sq ft + garage for 1025. They are also working on the ability to pay online so you dont have to go to the office anymore to pay rent. We are happy renters, thank you for your help!

Jose and Israel in the maintenance department are the best. They do not take short cuts and get the work done in a timely manner. They clean up after themselves and are very happy with their work. A+.I’ve had negative experiences with other maintenance staff in the past, so I’ve learned that I will only ask for Israel or Jose from now on. They made up for the negative experience 100 X over. Give these guys a raise.

Everything went smoothly when applying if you want to get approved fast just have everything ready for them to verify like employment and current landlord info other than that the only inconvenience is that they’re not open on Saturdays if you have questions. You can call customer service but they don’t know everything about the home your inquiring about. Monise was the one who helped me and my husband we got approved in 1 day after submitting the application

Alden Short, Inc. is an amazing company. We moved from out of state and they had an entire team to help streamline the process. So easy and smooth. The house is beautiful and at a great price. We plan to stay with this company for as long as possible. I would strongly recommend this company to family and friends. When you have an issue they jump to resolve! Amazing service. 5 Stars all around.

We have been settled in our Alden Short rental house for about a month and a half now and are enjoying it very much. The house is a little old, but has been remodeled in the last few years and has very nice appliances/bathrooms. In terms of getting the house secured in our name, we had some trouble filling out the online application, but I walked into the office one day and was helped by Monise, who was also the one who continued to help us throughout the rental process. Anytime I had to go in to the office to sign or make a payment, she was nothing but helpful and nice. She explained things so that I could understand them, and made me feel at ease about the stressful process of moving and submitting all of the necessary paperwork. Monise is a gem and I am very thankful for her! We did have an issue the other day in which our garage door had broken off of the track, but after submitting a work order through the portal we were contacted within 24 hours from a maintenance man to schedule an appointment to fix it. Impressed overall with the rental process and help we have received.

UPDATE:As of today January 15th, the gas has been turned back on! And after speaking with Lindsey yesterday they gave me a credit for one full month!Thank you Lindsey, you have restored my faith in your company!Unfortunately my review was posted before you and I spoke yesterday. I had planned to remove my review or give an update when I had a chance later today.They turned off our gas beginning of November because there was a gas leak we are now in the middle of January and they still have not turned it back on.

During my house search alden short they exceeded my expectations. While other companies was given me the runaround and half told info alden short was straight to the point and helped me worked out a small issue other places didn’t even try to explain or assist me with to complete my transaction. The lovely young lady I spoke with named Mae was consist with the information and knew everything in and out like the burger joint that made this home renting experience run smoothly. She followed through from beginning to the end and now I’ve acquired a new home with no hassle that I’m very excited for. Mae was very professional and very nice with a great personality that will make your experience spectacular!

Recently applied and 1st was denied due to past property paperwork error But Mae and Monise worked really hard for me to get me in and approved! I’d like to thank them both for all their hard work and dealing with me being so annoying lol, Now the application process could be smoother, I do understand they may get a lot of applications and it’s hard to answer every call, email, Voice mail and deal with walk in customers, in my experience if your serious about something a call won’t do justice your going to have to go see in person which is exactly what I did I went in person to the office to talk to someone. but like someone else said most people don’t review until they are upset. So far Ive received nothing but professionalism even when I was denied I was given proper steps to take to rectify situation thank you guys!

JUANITA SAENZ is the best manager these apartments have had in along time and they are newly remodeled .Also the maintenance man Ramiro is a very attentive to the property and of people needs; every problem Ive found myself having he has always fixed it right away. I hope things keep going good here because I am very happy with my home. These apartments make for a good living I promise you...I have lived in others where its dirty and the people are rude so I am speaking from experience and not just talking out my ass here.

Moved into one of their properties February 2016. Id decided Id refrain from reviewing them until I had an issue that needed attention, as Id:-owned a home next door to one of their rental properties. Therefore, I got to be impartial and see both sides.-had family who had rented from them some years ago, so I heard their opinion.-work in a job where Im out in the community, and deal with their renters, and have had occasion to deal with them directly.I finally had an issue.Friday evening, approximately 5:45 pm on 8/31/18, our AC started making strange noises inside the house. By the next morning, it was done. Sadly, this was a holiday weekend, so we had to suffer for a few days with no AC.Tuesday morning, 9/4, I got a call from them first thing that morning, BEFORE their official opening time of 8 AM. She said theyd have a guy here between 11-12. He actually showed up early. I already knew what broke- the blower motor had broken away from the turbine wheel, which is a common issue. I showed him the problem. He had the assembly out in about 30 minutes. He took it outside and tore it down. After thoroughly cleaning the housing, he left to get parts- a new motor, and a new turbine wheel. He was back in about an hour. He re-assembled the blower assembly, brought it in the house, re-installed it, and by 1:40 we had AC, and it worked even better than before.I was grateful and thankful. He did great work.Heres a tip, folks: pay your rent on time. Ive never been late and am early 99% of the time. Dont nitpick about maintenance issues. If you can take care of it, then take care of it. Dont call them to replace AC filters, replace broken five dollar doorknobs, etc. You live in a house, on a street. Act like it. Like I said earlier, I owned a home for a decade, so maybe that experience elevated my maturity.I dont bother them, and they dont bother me. But when I needed them to step up, they did. And when I move out one day, this house will be left in better shape than I found it. See, thats how you get your deposit back, folks. Act grown. 😉Sorry to come off preachy. But some of you folks need it.

Buisness with Alden Short Inc has been very easy going and delightful. If you find a house you are interested in my advice is to inquire about it first, then view the property, if it is something you like then be proactive and get your rental history and job verification asap since that takes the longest to acquire. They work on a first come first serve basis so BE PROACTIVE they cant process your application until they have that information first. These qualifications are cut and dry and to the point located on their website make sure you meet the requirements, pay your fee, turn in your paperwork and application.Thanks Alden Short for helping us get into the home that we wanted!

Yes, it seemed like a roll of the dice at first and was sceptical. But after my first visit to Alex Shorts office, and speaking with Claudia F. She cleared everything up and made me feel 100% comfortable with my hope of renting thru Alden s.Im 100% Happy with The Staff at Alden Short. I do and will recommend this company to other and friends and family. Just please keep in mind it is your responsibility to understand what your doing. Ive been renting from them for a year now and they are very rude and unprofessional...... they never try to come and fix anything and their houses are not what they seem to be.... they are roach infested and bug infested... the rent is too high and if you stumble financially they lie and tell you that they can help but turn around and evict you.... I will never rent from them again because they are not worth the hassle and the struggle
