After a lot of research, I contacted OWR back in 2020 to restore 20 windows on my 1941 house. This go-around, I only needed one window restored (circa ~1920), and I was willing to make the 90 minute drive, to both drop off the window and to pick it up. So yes, I highly recommend Old Window Revival.

Old Window Revival are true craftsman and artisans of window restoration.I had them restore two 107 year old double hung windows in my house. They rebuilt the meeting rails that had severely warped with new vertical grain fir that matches perfectly, they re-glazed all the sashes, installed reproduction wavy glass to replace flat glass, replaced the interlocking zinc weather stripping that didnt work very well with spring bronze, added weight doors, and installed new sash cords. These windows open and operate perfectly now.Old Window Revival has a deep understanding of the the pros/cons of the various techniques and options for restoring windows. You you can be 100% confident they will make the right choices when restoring your historic windows.I plan to have three more windows restored by Old Window Revival and five window screens made.

One of the best investments we made in our 1935 Tudor was to contract with Nicholas Bogosian, owner of Old Window Revival, to restore our double-hung wood windows. In addition to restoring the windows, Nicholas built a few much-needed screens that we placed strategically to create a wind flow throughout our home. Turn ordinary windows into extraordinary art by allowing the beautiful trees, sunlight, and fresh air into your home. Nicholas is an old soul with immense talent!

Nicholas and Trae are incredible! Old Window Revival recently completed a full restoration of 17 windows in our 1920’s bungalow in Norhill. To say our expectations were exceeded is a vast understatement! The craftsmanship, expertise, and communication is second to none…..always on time/on schedule with impeccable clean up…..you just couldn’t hope for more when embarking on a project such as this. Nicholas’s ability to problem solve, and overcome encountered obstacles is something to behold! All our windows now have full double hung functionality, new spring bronze weather stripping, new ropes, and an amazing paint finish. They constructed period wood screens for some of our windows to take full advantage of our double hung’s, and replaced the single 50’s era metal window in our house with a beautiful custom wood window that dovetails perfectly with our original windows. If you are considering restoring your older windows (and you should!), there is no other choice - it will be the best decision you’ve made for your home!

Some months ago, Old Window Revival restored 12 upstairs double-hung windows in our 1913 house and we remain pleased with the process and the outcome. Aside from storm weather delays, Nicholas and his crew were on site promptly every day as planned; they cleaned and secured the worksite each day before leaving, and communicated clearly and accurately about the work and schedule. They did a highly professional job in window repairs and restoration, repainting sashes and frames, and refurbishing the hardware. For the first time in our 30+ years occupancy, everything about our windows looks and works just as it should.

We are excited and fortunate to work with Nicolas to restore many windows in our 1892 home. Were taking the project in phases and I think the total is about 30 windows?! Hes incredibly organized and professional. So glad to have met him. Its a beautiful, time consuming craft.
