Barrett gave me a second opinion and I’m so glad he did, because he quoted me $5,200 for the same job.But he also recommended not to replace the system and educated me on why I shouldn’t.     This is a fantastic business. HVAC work is expensive, and for whatever reason the industry seems to have less integrity than others - overcharging, dishonesty, etc. Ive worked with several companies in the past, but Ive found who Ill stick with from now on. Summit replaced some HVAC equipment for me last year, and then promptly came out to fix an issue this past week. They made a warranty claim, and didnt charge me anything though a service fee or something would be reasonable. You can tell theyre a company with solid ethics. I cant recommend them enough

    I gave Summit AC a call on a Saturday, Barrett answered right away and was at my house within the hour. Which NEVER is the case with any other AC repairman, especially on Saturdays. Once he got to my house he went straight to diagnosing our issues and began the fix. Which was a mess that was left by previous AC repairman. He got it all fixed up and properly installed the way it should have been from the beginning.I can tell you this….. Summit just became my #1 go to AC company that I will tell everyone to use.     Barrett Staggs was very thorough and knowledgeable. He came out on a Saturday, but could not fix it because the part would not be available until Monday.     On 3-27-24 a heat pump with an Electric Heater Packge was installed in our home. Owner of Summit AC and Heating arrived with workers and all equipment necessary to install inside and outside equipment. Inside workers had to remove doors on A/C unit closet, remove old unit, clean up closet and put in new unit. The workers laid drop cloths on floors and cleaned up every bit of debris created when inside unit was replaced. They also installed a T6 Pro Smart thermostat. They did a great job. The workers installing the outside heat pump equipment were also able to complete the installation and clean-up in one day.Last night the new Unit kept our house at the temperature my husband selected. Hopefully, our KWH usage will be reduced with our new equipment purchase.

    Trustworthy. Outstanding service and immediate response too. They work within your budget, don’t sell cheaply made equipment, upsell unnecessarily, and their warranty is best in the industry. I highly recommend them.Had a full unit replaced last year. That unit has saved me money and now the house is always just the right temp.Update: 2 years later in these record heat waves our new upstairs unit that Summit replaced is still impressive. I’m probably the only house in DFW that has a colder upstairs than downstairs. When it was 101 degrees outside today, I went upstairs to cool off after my walk. 😀 Our old unit downstairs is probably 20 years old

    The blower motor in my air handler went out. Summit was awesome and came out same day I called them. Gave me a great quote and had a great deal for a veteran. The install was a very quick turn around and they did an awesome job, also they fixed an issue that existed since the house was built. Would highly recommend.

    This is the second time to do business with this company and I can’t praise them enough.The first time was summer of 2022. Our a/c was not producing cold air. I called several Other companies and no one was available. This company came on a Sunday, arrived within 30 minutes and repaired the problem. I was told at that time there was a leak of coolant and I chose not to replace the “coil ” at that time.The second one was to replace that very coil. The response time was great, the coil was under manufacture warranty. The cost was less than I thought it would be. It’s possible that last summer the turnaround time to receive it from the manufacturer would have been much longer than the week it took in March 2023.These are professional and very nice people.

    Frantically called Summit AC & Heat last night when our air compressor blew. They came out first this this morning and provided us with two different options to get it fixed. They got our new unit installed and running today. Even handled all the communication with the manufacturer regarding our warranty.     Our A/C went out on Labor Day. Made an emergency call to Summit, they were out within a couple of hours. Diagnosed the problem very quickly and unfortunately we had to get a new system. We received multiple quotes from different businesses but went with Summit for the install and the new system. They were very professional and very thorough with their explanation of the situation and our options. Very friendly, responsive and professional

    We loved Summit Air Conditioning and Barrett! We had many problems within a few days. He always came so promptly and told us he was committed to finding specifically what it was before we were charged. He said, “We don’t just want to create a bandaid, but something that will keep you running for years.” I would recommend them to anyone!! Our air unit works better in our home now, than when it did when we first bought it.

    This business is the best Google result I’ve had in recent memory. I’d been looking for another company but, as luck would have it, before I was sent a current phone number for the one I’d been searching (the number on their Google result was no longer in service), I found this company. I noticed they had five star reviews where the other average 4.3. I took a chance and called and I’m so thankful that I did. There was no attempt at upselling (I’d mentioned that I was aware that I needed a new system but couldn’t afford one). It was as straight forward as you’d ever hope to have. Both the technician (father) and the gentleman I spoke to (son) were very professional and performed outstanding service. I learned more from them about my system in fifteen minutes of talking than I’d ever learned from two prior experiences with two different companies who were both there over an hour. I appreciate that level of craftsmanship and respect. They’ve earned a customer for life. Thanks Summit!

    You can not put a price tag on integrity. In this case, though, he saved me $8000 on a new HVAC system. I called him out to replace my AC system after he quoted me better than his competitor. Upon arrival, he wanted to confirm it actually needed to be replaced. It did not, he replaced a capacitor in the system and had it back up and running in a short amount of time. Thank you!!!
