My home AC was having problems with water condensation and not cooling. Made online appointment with Smart Air Cooling and Heating at 6pm for the next day. They called me within 20 minutes and sent someone right away. Shane did some diagnostics and throughly explained to me what the issues could be. He then explained what the possible ways to fix the issues and more costly diagnostics. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. Definitely recommend Smart.

Thank you for the Phenomenal Service! We had David come out and quote us to replace our old HVAC. He was incredibly professional, very knowledgeable, and was a great guy to communicate with. He was very patient and willing to answer all my questions throughout the whole process. They were very reasonable with their prices, and were even willing to go over and above by offering complementary new 4 filters on the new HVAC and our other HVAC as a gesture of goodwill.The initial new HVAC that they ordered came in with a little bit of damage and they said they wouldnt install damaged equipment, which I found very respectable and something I suspect many competitors would have ignored to just finish the job. They complementarily upgraded us with a better system for the delay due to the damaged system and a few weeks later, installed the upgraded HVAC. Jay and Shane were fantastic installers as well! Courteous and professional and likewise very knowledgeable. Their process of having an independent secondary person check everything over tells you everything you need to know about how much they care about their customers satisfaction.All around terrific experience! We will definitely be recommending them to everyone we can!

He came in and analyzed my problem and fixed my 22 year old unit without any attempt to sell me a new unit.But he did offer very useful advice about replacing my unit.The service company was very responsive and communicated effectively about when Staton would arrive, etc.I’ve had the same great service guy for 30+ years that had installed my unit and keep it running. He just didn’t respond this time (I hope he’s ok), but i think i found a service company i trust and i hope i can ask for Staton next time.

Had a new tenant whose air conditioner broke on a Sunday of course. The technician was understanding polite got to it quickly. Because it was a tenant and I am stuck in bed with bad hips and my mother is 89 years old who is the actual owner of the property I was never actually there but with the pictures and good explanations, I may as well then he was terrific. I highly recommend Mr. Mayfield, with Smart A/C.They will be the 1st place I turn to when one of the HVACsysyems has problems and with about 30 to keep going there will be something what I can’t get over is how fast they got to it! I was really not digging the broken air conditioner with a brand new tenant on a SUNDAY no less!’ Then wham ban analyzed Sunday, installed Monday! Happy tenant😁

He took great care to fix the issue I had, walk through the steps he took to resolve it, and educate me and answer all of my questions on the system’s mechanisms. Just by proximity they weren’t the first HVAC specialists I called, but THREE other providers bailed on me before I called Smart Air Cooling & Heating. I wish I went straight to these guys. They fixed my issue in less than 24 hours, and I can’t thank them enough. Highly recommend!

I have had such stellar experiences with this company and all their skilled and professional employees after a very difficult set of experiences with a previous company. I have never encountered such a detailed oriented and capable AC company that takes the time to help their customers understand in lay person terms and to do their work so well. They truly work for what they charge you in a way that is fair and well worth what you pay.Staton initially came out to diagnose a unit on my mom’s rental property next to where I live that I help her manage. The previous company actually had left the unit worse off then when they started (it at least worked before they came and no longer longer turned on when they left) and failed to explain or give a detailed series of options with explanations. I was so relieved to get a second opinion from Smart Air who sent Stanton who went over it with a fine tooth comb and stayed in communication with me through out the process explaining everything he was finding. And then he gave me a detailed series of options including both repair and new installation, and when we moved forward with installation he provided another detailed set of options that took into account our needs in terms of cost and quality. I can’t speak highly enough of Staton who clearly loves what he does and is the best at what he does. I also appreciated Smart Air also provided such reasonable payment options ranging from long term payment plans to paying in full, which I also appreciated.The installers were also hard working, on the ball, efficient and quick, which made me realize how much this company prizes quality employees and service from top to bottom. After such a good experience I decided to have them service my mini split after the previous company also dropped the ball on my servicing. I can not even describe the night and day experience between previous company and Smart Air who sent Shane who was as awesome as Stanton and the installers and who took my unit a part, did a deep clean and also went into such great detail about all the additional options I could do to keep my unit clean and healthy as someone with health issues. It was nice to learn they have other customer like me who are particularly sensitive like me and who sometimes need to go above and beyond the typical servicing and that he knew how to address my needs and provide me so many good options as potential add ons to my service.And then when I accidentally locked myself out of my house he was so kind to let me use his phone to call a locksmith when I know he needed to head to his next call. This is such a great company and great team. Their quote for the new installation was also in the same ballpark as the other quote I got but with way more effort in diagnostics, communication and options. And while their yearly servicing for minisplit was on the surface more expensive than the other company, their servicing also includes way more features including taking the unit a part and cleaning it, coming back again in the winter, as well as some other cost saving features and so for the work it was actually more cost effective. And to be honest I don’t think the other company did anything helpful in servicing my unit and failed toTell me it needed to be cleaned.I highly recommend these folks and am glad I found them.

There was a problem with the gas pressure causing the unit to shut off before it warmed the house. Shane helped us coordinate with other trades to figure out the problem with the gas pressure, and finally finished all work today! We are always happy with the service we receive from this company.

Chase came out and did a free consultation on our combo unit. He was very professional and gave me an accurate estimate to review prior to making a decision. He was patient and informative when I had questions about the estimate and labor. The 2 installers Jamie and Josue did a great job with the work, they stayed way past their alloted time to make sure everything was secure and proper. They cleaned up after themselves. This was the only company out of so many that I called that could work on thus particular unit with fabrication. Now our combo unit works great, highly recommended!

Smart Air has consistently gone the extra mile for me and my tenants. We live in a multi-family property with an unusual HVAC system and restricted access to the roof. They handle our issues with expertise, a friendly attitude and have even gone so far as to correct outdated wiring to ensure installs are up to the latest code. I’ve had great experiences with Shane and Stanton, who have stayed WAY past closing time to make sure the work was done correctly and there was no dust left behind on the way out.I highly recommend giving this locally owned business a try!

Jacob and Marlon were incredibly patient and understanding as I experienced difficulties with my property management company allowing access to the roof. Ultimately, after three scheduled appointments (the first two of which had to be cancelled on my end because of the aforementioned property management issues), my AC is back up and running thanks to Smart Airs dedication. At one point, Jacob, the customer service representative, said they were not worried about the cancelled appointments and just want to make sure my HVAC system is serviced as needed. I really appreciated that. I would recommend Smart Air to anyone who cares to listen.

Smart Air has kept us cooled and heated reliably for many years since they installed our system, both on routine maintenance and on problems. Shane Stone again did a great job on our seasonal tuneup, this time for heating. This blazing hot and humid summer, Shane Stone not only did our seasonal tuneup, but identified issues perhaps contributing to an occasional musty smell, and then returned to address them. He gave us good guidance on the monthly maintenance we should do. We are surviving the heat with more confidence and comfort. Devon did our annual heating review, keeping a watchful eye on the ignitor, the carbon monoxide detector and more. All good. Their techs have always been competent, thorough and helpful. We had a conk out on a Friday evening, and Eddie was here within a couple hours. He got us back working well enough until we could get the needed part. The house is back to comfortable, despite the 1000 degrees outside. On a routine service call for winter, Preston worked andworked with vacuum and nitrogen pressure to clear a stubborn condensate line until he got it.

Shane Stone, from Smart Air quickly diagnosed my AC problem and made all repairs within one hour. Also, Smart Air dispatched Shane to my home within 30 minutes of my initial call to them. That never happens, especially in the summer. Shane also repaired my broken pvc drain at no charge. Shane was very knowledgeable regarding my AC equipment and possible problems/solutions and was extremely efficient. He also introduced me to annual maintenance plans that can actually save me money on future repairs. Highly recommend Smart Air!Addendum to original post: After further investigation, Shane discovered that my evaporator coil needed replacing. The estimates and options were clearly laid out, the parts were secured and within a couple of days the coil was replaced with clean lines and new refrigerant. Basically putting this unit back into like-new condition. Shane knows his stuff, works efficiently and now a relief knowing my equipment is in top notch working order. The staff at Smart Air have been great to work with to answer questions, get info and got scheduled quickly! Highly recommend Shane Stone and Smart Air!

I booked an appointment last minute, online at 3:00 PM and immediately got a call within minutes to confirm they were coming. A technician named Devon came out to see us and gave practical solutions for maintenance after his visit and fix to our AC. He explained what he was doing every step of the way and then provided pictures with details in an email as soon as he left. He showed me four different plans for payment, and explained the differences. All of them include at least a 6 month warranty (the higher priced included a year warranty) which is nice to know. As a female who does not know much about house maintenance, I felt comfortable and confident with the service received.

They scheduled an after-hours appointment for us (LOVE that they offer these), but had a cancellation ahead of us so went ahead and sent tech, Austin, out early.Austin was super friendly, knowledgeable, and QUICK. AC went out Saturday evening. After troubleshooting, I found I needed a new capacitor. I put in an emergency order not expecting to hear anything until Monday. I planned to be at the HVAC supply store by 7 AM to avoid taking more time off work to repair the system myself. I got a call around 3:30 PM on Sunday from the service technician. He said hed be by in 10 minutes. Devon was a great guy. He did a fast repair and was knowledgeable. At $130 emergency repair call plus the part, I payed $315. I figured that was definitely worth my time to get fixed asap and not have to worry about anything but cold air and work for the rest of the night until Monday morning. The house was staying at 86 degrees while it was 100 outside. Thanks!!!!!

This was my first time using smart air, and experience overall was great. Jackie answered all my questions on the phone and was able to get me an appointment relativity quickly considering its the middle of the summer. Originally the technician was supposed to come between 8-12, ideally around 11 am. Theyre also supposed to give a courtesy call 20-30 min before they arrive. I was a bit annoyed that I hadnt heard from anyone all morning, and it was 5 minutes to 12, so I gave them a call. Jackie quickly replied to my call and let me know that the technician got held up. Within minutes Jacob was calling me to let me know he would be there in 20 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He did a great job explaining everything and answered all of our questions. We were very happy with how things turned out, and are looking forward to having them back in a few months to get us ready for the winter!

During the cold front, my old HVAC broke down and we were without heat for only 48 hours during the inconvenient timing of the holiday weekend. But Ross the technician came in earlier than expected and he detected the heating panel problem, then got a new heating part within an hour. In a span of a few hours, our heat was back on like new. The service and part turned out to be cheaper than I expected.On May 24, 2019, Frank B came and improved my HVAC system by quickly adding a needed freon (R-22) and replacing a bad capacitor. Now our AC is working normally, just in time for the hot holiday weekend.Then on a stormy day, technician Frank B, masked et al, showed up on time after I called for service at 8 AM and he was here in a downpour on May 12. Three satisfactory years! Otherwise, I would not have set up that umbrella for him. (My 3rd recorded review.)

They over-deliver every time! I’ve used Smart Air Cooling a few years ago and they are my go-to company now. I had the A/C unit stop working on a rental house. I called them at 10am, they scheduled for a same-day visit between 5-9pm. It was going to be 104 degrees that day so my renter needed to find another place to work. At 1pm that day the service tech was at the house! They showed up hours earlier than I had expected, and had already called the tenant to meet up. The repair was done in one visit, and the tech gave me quotes for 3 different levels of repair. Everyone at this business is considerate, professional and honestly care. I highly recommend them!

Frank and Austin of Smart Air completed the first maintenance inspection on my dual-fuel, Am Std Air Heat pump system. They also fixed a few minor problems from the install, which was done last year. They listened to my concerns, made the fixes, and completed the inspection in a little over an hour. No new problems found; the system is and has been running great: in heating mode this mid-April day (a bit unusual) but they also checked the cooling side. I would use Smart Air again for routine maintenance. Very professional.Update 1/2023. I had to have my 2 ton condenser moved today, on short notice, so a plumber could dig up a water line that was, unfortunately, directly underneath. Cory came out, on a sunny, fairly nice no-heat day, and moved it about 3 feet. Ill skip over the technical details, but it was 4 hours of work. Clean welds, neatly done, and the system is back up and running in its new home. The office was responsive and Cory asked all the right questions, before he cut any lines. Nice work as usual from Smart Air.

Smart Air has never let us down over the nearly 2 years weve worked together. I had a place I used, but they became aggressive with upsells and impersonal with a call center. Overall I developed the feeling that our needs werent super important to them so I looked to move my business elsewhere. SmartAir has always done great work and has ALWAYS been very responsive. There are still upsells, but I feel like the company ultimately values and respects its customers. Ideally any company only wants to solve problems its customer has. Sometimes the service seems rather expensive for what it is (especially our last issue), but the bottom line is that there is a great team who is communicative, available in person - including the owner, including outside of business hours, and the issues get solved. Its kind of hard to tell up from down right now with inflation wreaking havoc, but hopefully our last experience was a one time thing and over time I find the price worth it over a longer term.

Smart Air Service installed our system on our new house and for the most part, it has been great. We have a large system for the house and 2 separate mini-splits for our shop and mother-in-law suite. The mini splits have both developed small leaks but were easily repaired and refilled. Weve had particularly good experiences with Frank as a service technician, who is both knowledgeable and polite. UPDATE: We suffered a failure on the coil unit in one of our mini-splits. Unfortunately, the unit was in a very tight spot and could not be accessed for repair. SMART-AIR managed to completely disconnect and relocate the unit, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!!, and make the necessary repair. Ross and his assistant spent the entire day and did a very professional, neat job. Additionally, the unit is now accessible and can be repaired much easier in the future. Nice to see a company stand by their install. UPDATE #2: Frank came back for a system check today and, as usual, was kind and professional.

I found Smart Air through recommendations on Nextdoor when our AC went out a couple weeks ago. The whole experience was super positive and not stressful as its been with other companies in the past. Everyone we interacted with was professional, informative, and communicated every step of the way. The first tech was up front with us about the cost of a new system vs trying to repair our 25 year old system. Staton who came out to recommend new systems was efficient and didnt try to upsell us which I really appreciated. Eddie and Branden did the install and did a beautiful job and finished ahead of schedule. Added bonus, the cost was about $1500 less than a different company had quoted us a couple months ago. I will definitely use Smart Air again and recommend them to anyone!

Very impressed with the quality of work and service Smart air provide. I had called after a bad experience with my warranty company and was Smart Air really saved the day.Fast response, same day scheduling and very responsive.Tim came by , called and texted on the way so I had plenty of time to get home and was amazingly courteous and knowledgeable.His work estimate was accurate and he explained exactly what is needed versus what is optional and why.The work was performed next day as I needed a new compressor that Smart Air got for me and made sure it’s covered by warranty to reduce my costs and I have a working AC again!Will definitely recommend Smart Air and call them again if I ever need HVAC work.

I found a small brass top near the outdoor unit and they had someone come out to double-check that it was not from the HVAC. Good experience with the service, lets see how it goes for the six monthly one.Edit Mar 7, 2024:-----------------------------I have been disappointed by my service experience with Smart Air. Have to send a reminder every six months, no follow ups and to top it all they let my service contract expire without anyone trying to reach me. Once someone shows up, they do a reasonable job.Cannot recommend for long-term engagement if they do not have processes in place to maintain the equipment which they installed. Better to let someone else install your HVAC and then maintain the equipment.Edit 8/10/2020:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Had to request Smart Air for a visit again to assess whether something can be done to fix the cooling issue in HVAC. The Smart Air tech spent close to 3 hours and created a very detailed report, pointing to individual point which need fixing and those which are within parameters. A genuine suggestion was to look into replacing some of these (which Smart Air had recommended in the past as a longer term solution). These are old units and we moved in recently.I tried checking with my Home Warranty company, they sent in EMS Home Services, who came in, took 10 minutes, said alls well and charged a $75 service fee!I feel happy for my original choice of Smart Air. Their techs are courteous, professional and really know their stuff. Best of all the team is not pushy at all. Five stars again all around, you should be getting more business from me shortly.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------They continue to hold the 5-star reputation, excellent experience right from the sales person showing up to the work being done and he coming back for a review. Like others said, they are not the cheapest, but, the work speaks for itself and you get what you pay for. The person executing the project showed me a problem with the door and why it wont seal well, he asked me to get back to them once a carpenter has fixed the door. He did not do a subpar job, even when it meant less billing. I am quite happy with the overall experience and will be going back to them for all my HVAC needs. Highly recommended.

Some companies never provided estimates or returned calls.Smart Air is very organized and very professional in all processes of getting a new system for your home.They advised when they were on their way, showed up on time, and communicated every step of the process. Their estimator came to my home, listened to what I wanted and recommended the best options.He provided a 4 page professional estimate with 3 choices, explaining in great detail the work to be done.Work completed was excellent. --My AC issues were for a busy barbershop so getting this done ASAP was critical. I picked two highly rated and reviewed companies off of Yelp. Both came out promptly and measured my shop and gave me a bid for what they thought I needed. The other company gave me a choice between a 3 ton and a 4 ton which I thought was odd. Staton the sales guy with Smart Air Service assured me a 4 ton is what I needed and it would do a good job for the size of my space. I was ready to buy whatever size recommended because the working 3 ton I had wasnt doing the job since I had a new 20 foot ceiling. The quote was timely, thorough, and very professional plus it beat the other one I had by a nice amount. Installation was set for the next day! They brought a big team out and knocked it out in one day even with a few unforeseen issues. After installation there was a little water leakage from somewhere and the owner himself came out and solved the problem. They promptly replaced the damaged ceiling tiles and everything from that point has been perfect. This is a real professional company! They are big enough to get the great price and quick installation and small enough to care about every detail along the way. This can be a very stressful time for a business here in Texas, but the team at Smart Air Service will make you feel like they have control of the situation right from the first phone call. Please do yourself a favor and put your trust in these professionals, they are the real deal!

Smart Air had done very good job fixing my broken AC system and I purchased a semi-annual inspection plan. Technician Frank Barbera was out today for that, and he was friendly, on-time, efficient, and knowledgeable, and got the system fine tuned for the summer. My experiences with this company and its technicians have been great.Update 8/27/19--condenser started sounding funny and so I called Smart Air. They sent Frank out the very next morning, during the busiest time for AC repairs of the year, and Frank quickly got the system back up and running with a new condenser motor. Top notch service again. If youre a service company and you make it into my Contacts then youve earned my trust, Smart Air is in there for sure.Update 4/29/20--Austen came out and did the annual service check and maintenance on the AC systems for my rental unit and my house and did a fantastic job. He was thorough, professional, on time, and friendly, and gave me great advice on eventually replacing the systems, which are nearly 30 years old. Great service again and Smart Air remains my choice. Friendly dispatch person on the phone too.Update 6/8/20--Austen was back out and diagnosed the cause of a bad rattle (corroded wiring causing a short) and got me fixed up. The service was prompt, skilled, professional, well documented and knowledgeable. This is a really well-run service outfit with highly skilled and honest technicians. Thanks SMARTair!!Update September 2020--while I was out of town, my AC stopped working and my daughter had to vacate. Smart Air came out right away while I was gone, and diagnosed a blown compressor in the condenser. They ordered a new compressor (mine was 12 years old), and not only did Austen get it installed as soon as possible, Smart Air found a warranty on the compressor, which saved me over $1500. What great service. Smart Air remains my go-to company for all of my AC needs!Update October 15, 2020-- Frank Barbera from Smart Air performed my semi-annual inspections today and he was on time, friendly, and got me squared away for the next six months. My experience with Smart Air has been great! They installed a new system and re sealed all the ducts in 2017.Today I had to call them since my AC would not start. It turns out that the drain line was clogged (my fault for not servicing it well). They sent Marcus within a couple of hours. Marcus was polite, knowledgeable, professional and very thorough in his inspection of the unit. He cleared the clog and checked the whole system. So far, so good! Weve been using Smart Air for about 1.5yrs in our property that has 2 ACs and now a mini-split. We have their maintenance package and they track when we need service very well. Its a small business and the owner, Shane, has come to our house twice himself. We had a problem with a bathroom humidity and Shane looked at it for over 2 hours and I dont think he even charged us because our current AC was just too powerful. He didnt try to sell us unnecessary equipment either. Then this month we have built in a patio and went to our contractor for a quote to get a mini-split AC/Heater. Their price seemed really high and they didnt seem able to hear us when we told them what we were looking for. So we called up Smart Air. They came out same day and had a written quote that was close to half the price of the other guy and captured what we wanted. Then they organized the electrician and Shane came out personally to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted and what his guys would be working with. In less than a week weve gotten our mini-split for half the price and done better than we could have hoped. Their customer service, from the lady on the phone, to the young man who came out for the quote, the guys who installed, and of course the owner is first rate and their quality has been consistent and prices reasonable.

I have used Smart Air on a several different properties now. It is by no exaggeration that I would say they are the best service company that I have EVER worked with and as a property manager and builder Ive worked with a lot of different service companies! They always answer their phones. They keep themselves well staffed so that they are able to get you an appointment quickly. They do thorough diagnotic work before disussing it in detail with you and helping you to make an informed decision. They dont pressure you to buy anything, but help you understand the pros and cons of all possible options. Their prices are very reasonable. They send you text notifications so you are well aware of when to expect them and call you when they are on their. I seriously cannot think of any way for them to improve their business. Theyve got it figured out. Choosing anyone else for your AC needs would just be a step down.

Update: Eris did my fall maintenance. She was very thorough, showed me pictures and in person of different aspects of my system, gave me honest recommendations, and more. She spent a few hours doing assessments, cleaning, and monitoring, the latter showing pictures of readings. I was very impressed with her!!!!I was kindly helped upon initial phone call. I am part of their silver plan and since the the admin. Assistant wasn’t sure if my plan included free overnight service, she scheduled me for it just in case and had a technician call me to verify. I ended up having Frank Barbera come the next morning. He arrived early and called ten minutes before arrival. He was kind and professional. He answered questions and did a good job. No problem was found but he checked everything and told me what to look for if the problem happens again. Thanks.

Our AC was not cooling down our house. So at 4:30pm I called SmartAir to service it. Lucky for us, they said a technician could be out today! It was about 5:30or 6pm when Frank showed up. He quickly diagnosed that it was the thermostat. A short time later and $390. bill and we had a cool house again. He told us that our thermostat did not need batteries but the person who came out a month before did not mention that. We were all sleeping better in a cool house.

Excellent service from the office to the technician. I was texted my appointment info, then prior to the technician coming out, I got another text that they were on their way. They also called me, letting me know they were going to grab some food & head on over. It was lunch time!Shane, the owner was the technician that came out. He was training someone. Both were very nice & very informative. They told me what they were going to do. They were here maybe 45 minutes & did a few test. I was told my AC may be on its way out just because it’s a 20 year old unit. But he said it’s working fine for now & if anything happens, give them a call. $99 for the call. Not bad. Whenever the time comes when my 20 year old unit decides to stop working, I’ll be calling Smart Air Service to replace it. I just hope it’s not anytime soon.
