    Josh was very responsive and quickly provided an estimate for a new complete system with 3 different options. He thoroughly explained the options so I could make a choice. He ordered the system and scheduled the date for installation just 2 days later. He and his crew did a very clean and professional installation. We are very pleased with the service and will call on Local for any future AC needs.

    Josh installed my ac units a few years ago. One unit was down last week, called them and booked a appointment immediately. Brian and Jose came next day and spending a few hours to figure out the real issue. Booked a parts (free for me under warranty), and fixed it in a few hours next Tuesday. Very good service and fair charge. Ive recommended Local Air to a few my friends and they all had very good experience.

    I’ve recommended Local Air Conditioning and Heating to several friends. They go above and beyond. When the AC went out in the middle of summer, Josh responded and repaired the unit within the hour. When we had issues with heater, Ulysses came out to inspect. He addressed all our questions and concerns and was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Nothing but rave reviews for this company!

    I first tried Local in 2022 after being underwhelmed by several other highly-rated HVAC companies in the Austin/CP area, and have been using them ever since. Their annual maintenance plan with auto-scheduling makes my life easier because they proactively reach out twice a year and schedule service rather than me having to call. This summer when I needed emergency service after ants decided to move into my unit as the temps approached 100 F, Josh saved the day! Today, Brian showed up on time and got my unit ready for the winter. He was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The team at Local provides honest assessments and reasonable costs, and I can’t thank them enough for making my life easier!

    I shopped many small and large local businesses when replacing my home HVAC. From the first contact, through installation, and routine system maintenance, the owner and employees of Local Air Conditioning & Heating have all been wonderful. Josh and his crew are kind, personable and helpful. I asked SO many questions. Josh helped me find the best solutions for my home and budget. They are very transparent and honest. The inclusive nature of buying a new system with them has been amazing. I hate the hassle of dealing with businesses and scheduling services. Their process is so streamlined and they show up when they say they will!! I am a super discerning home owner and I cant recommend this business enough.

    Edit (1/24/25): My initial experience with Local Air was lack luster, however, after several visits and being in close communication with the owner I am happy to say that I would recommend their services for your HVAC needs. It did take a lot of trial and error to find a resolution, but each time we revisited the issue the owner and his staff were kind, prompt, and genuinely seemed interested in helping us. Josh answered all of my many questions and even offered personalized suggestions while explaining why.Original Post:We have been troubleshooting an issue with our HVAC for a little under a month and unfortunately the problem persists. Local Air has been out to us twice; I made two more calls to them on Thursday but the calls went unanswered. I followed up with a service request on the website but that too was not responded to. I finally called again today and I am now waiting for a call back from the owner. I get the feeling they are a decent business as everyone Ive spoken to is friendly but I am beginning to get very frustrated. If the problem is resolved I will update this review, however at this point I would not recommend using this company for your heating or cooling needs.

    I recently asked Local A/C to come to my home for service maintenance. I was a previous customer and remembered I received great service. I purchased the maintenance plan because I don’t have to think about the checks I need every pre summer and pre winter.Technician was on time and very courteous. I’ve never seen someone so happy to work. He was respectful on my home when I was working from home. He gave me an update on my unit and went over everything serviced.I love that this is a small business as I can tell they are more personable. When you think customer service is gone, here comes Local delivering excellent service all around.

    Local Air Conditioning & Heating is a great company to work with. When our AC went out they were able to schedule us on the same day and get our problem sorted in half an hour.     It is so difficult to find good responsive and honest tradesmen. I was lucky to stumble upon Local A/C and heating. Josh and his team have always been responsive, direct and honest as well as being pleasant and easy to communicate with. They take care of my house and my rental property. I’ve dealt with so many A/C pros over the last 30 years in Austin and I highly recommend them.

    Needed AC, Josh was very helpful, same with Ulysses. Very informative and let us know exactly what was needed and what was going on/wrong with our AC. They gave us different options to help get our AC running before the summer. We decided to get a full HVAC replacement, was completed the next day! Employees that came to install were friendly and worked hard for over 8 hrs and still very friendly(cant be me lol) Made sure not to make a mess but cleaned up what little there was. After finishing, they went over all the new equipment and thermostat- really nice guys. Wonderful experience with a great warranty!

    Josh literally saved us ! In Austin before the upcoming freeze and our (very old) heating unit stopped working. Its from the 1990s with no guarantee to find relevant parts, but Josh came through within 3 days, found the parts, replaced and tested everything, and now heating is back and were ready for those freezing nights.Highly recommended !

    Josh was honest when going over our Old HVac system. He said its an R22 system and it is hard to find replacement parts. Recommended a new Bryant system with R410 as its better for the Ozone. It will also save us money on our utilities as it wont work as hard to cool our home. His installation crew was great also. They took time to explain differences in the new unit, we also received a new thermistat, which is easy to operated. Overall we were pleased with everything Josh and his team did for us.     Back in July I had an air conditioning unit leaking water into the flood pan in the attic. He not only fixed the issue by clearing out the pipes in the bathroom downstairs, he also cleared the flood pan, cleaned the filters, and for good measure checked the condenser units outside- all while I was away.     Josh was super helpful and informative when diagnosing our HVAC issue and in recommending all options from lower budget repair to full replacement. Hes a 3ed generation HVACer so that helps for sure. Scheduling was also very quick! I star ding because installation wasnt as behind the scenes as many vendors Ive used. With all going on and forced work from home the music playing on the phone speaker and yelling to each other over our 2.5 floors made my mtgs a little challenging due to the excess of random volume shifts. Aside from that not so normal concern I would definitely use him again because Joshs patients and knowledge was oitstanding!
