    If you havent checked out Hesse, youve missed out. Before you have your A/C serviced, you need to call these guys.Our A/C wasnt blowing cold air and the compressor was buzzing. I contacted Hesse right away and Steve first tried to debug and fix it over text. I thought that was pretty cool (no pun intended) that a company would potentially give up a repair deal by helping me fix the issue on my own. Unfortunately, the home fixes didnt work and Steve needed to come out. Our problem was diagnosed as blown compressor.Since this would be an expensive repair, I contacted two other reputable A/C companies. While they were professional, they tried to sell us stuff that we really didnt need. I could also tell that the other companies had high overhead (that we have to end up paying for in higher prices) as they had fancy trucks, multiple people come out, automated texting services, etc. With Hesse, it was Steve who took personal responsibility to make sure the job was correctly assessed and quoted.Hesse was able to get the new equipment very quickly and had a team able to install the new equipment immediately. His team was professional and there was little, if any distruption, in completing the job. Hesse got us back on our feet in the heat of summer with excellent services and very reasonable pricing.

    We had been out of town and came home to fine. We had no air conditioning in our house. Evidently our Freon had leaked out and the compressor had continued to run and was no longer working. I contacted the company I usually use and they came out and gave me a timeframe of three weeks away. I then looked at Better Business Bureau and called Hesse Air and Steve came out immediately and confirmed I needed a new outside unit. He quoted me on the spot, had the unit ordered and he was there the next day to install. We will definitely be using this company again going forward.

    Im very pleased with Hesse. I compared several air conditioning contractors and decided to pick Hesse after originally contacting them as a second opinion check. I was impressed with the inspection; the subsequent discussion and I selected Hesse to replace the two A/C systems. Ive waited two plus months to review the work and both units to see if there would be any problems. I have found no issues since the systems were installed in mid-July. The installers arrived on time, worked fast in 105-degree heat, cleaned the work areas, and took away the old systems. The house has been cool since then. The price was competitive and also included replacement of the heating units, which some other company proposals did not.

    Great company! I found Hesse Aire Conditioning and Heating online two years ago when my AC wasnt working properly. When I had AC issues again last week, I knew theyd take good care of me and called back.In both situations, Steven was professional, polite, and patient with me. He listened attentively and explained everything. I was so impressed at how thorough he was, never rushing to move on to the next appointment.In both cases, I had an appointment no later than the next day.     Hesse Heating & AirYou wont find a more responsive, reliable, and reasonably priced Heating and Air Conditioning company than Hesse.My 20 year old heating system was on its last breath, and I knew it. I called three different local companies.Two of them had me shoot photos of my old system & text to them. Then they gave me verbal cost quotes over the phone, but their prices seemed high, were for lower tier brands, and they wouldnt tell me the size of the system they were proposing (other than that it was equivalent to my old one.)Steve Hesse instead came to my house (within an hour of my call), evaluated my system condition and size. He noticed that the A/C part of my system was newer & could support more blower capacity.He then told me exactly the size, brand, features and warranty of what he would install.Then he gave me a price that was $800 less than the others, including a multi-speed blower, higher CFM (better air flow), and a larger, heavy duty filter unit.I accepted his offer and, within 1 hour, his crew was here to remove my old system. They covered all my flooring with heavy, protective tarps and, went to work. An hour later, as they were loading my old system in their truck, Steve pulled up with the new one. Less than 3 hours later the new one was in, running, and they were on their way out the door!Now, you wouldnt know they were ever here, other than I now have reliable heat, much better air flow in my front rooms, much less system noise, and I saved $800.Call Hesse Heating & Air to get treated really well.Mike

    2024 update (initial review was ~3 years ago): After helping our 30 yr old system limp along last summer, Steve and his crew just installed a complete new system and duct work in our home, and we could not be more pleased. They completed the project in one day, and his bid was competitive. If a new system is not in the budget, he will work to keep your current equipment running- no high pressure sales tactics. Highly recommend!Im very happy with Steve Hesse, he was able to get to me within a couple hours of my call and was efficient and friendly. He fixed the duct problem with reasonable pricing. Ill definitely call him again next time I need HVAC service.

    I can’t say enough positive things about Steven and his crew for their professional service when our furnace broke down during this bitter cold winter storm that has hit Texas. Yesterday when the power finally came on, we discovered our furnace wasn’t working. The BBB website has several 5-star reviews for Hesse AC and Heating so I felt confident to give them a call. Steven answered and said he could come by the same day, which I was thankful for since the temperature was still extremely cold. After checking things out, Steven discovered the control board was broken, and because our furnace is old, replacement parts aren’t available so a new furnace is needed. Steven was able to quickly procure a new furnace from his supplier before they closed, and he arranged for it to be installed this morning. His crew showed up on time and quickly got to work removing the old furnace, installing the new one and left the area clean. It was a great feeling to finally have the house warm again. Steven and his crew are professional, honest, friendly, punctual and hard working - what more could a customer ask for? It’s clear to see why Hesse has a BBB rating of A and all of the 5-star reviews. As such, I highly recommend Hesse AC and Heating, and will pass along their information to my family and friends. The next time I need any AC or heating repairs, I’ll be calling Steven and Hesse.

    I had been getting quotes from several other companies and kept feeling like I was getting ripped off. A friend recommended Hesse and when I saw their 5 star rating and the fact they have zero complaints with the BBB, I called. Steve Hesse talked with me for about 40 minutes on the phone and we set up an appointment. He was patient with all of my questions and even explained everything again when my son came in. I decided to go with Hesse A/C based on their rating and their price. It helped immensely as well that Steve explained everything to me right up to and including how the financing worked, should I decide to do that. Instead he waited a week for me to get the money, ordered the units and in 2 days had both units installed and running perfectly. His crew was polite, quiet, clean and efficient and Steve even told me he would be in touch when the weather warms up to make sure all is running smoothly! As a widow, I cannot tell you how many times I have had salesmen try to pull one over on me, thinking I dont know any better, but I didnt get even a hint of that from Steve. I have already recommended this company to several people and I am rarely so impressed I go out of my way to promote a company! Hesse Air Conditioning and heating - a great company to work with!

    Steve at Hesse AC and Heat was referred to me by a good friend. I was being given a run around by my Home warranty and AC repair contractor. Steve spent time with me on the phone, free of charge for some initial diagnosis. He was very patient and asked me the right questions to understand symptoms.His diagnosis was spot on. When I signed him up, he did come in for an diagnosis and confirmed the issue. Peak of the summer, he was able to get his crew in to have my AC coil replaced within a couple of days. His and his crew’s work is very clean and of good quality, at a reasonable price.I would recommend Steve / Hesse for your HVAC work anytime!!

    Ive had them install 3 AC units as well as a Furnace and thermostat. They had just installed a new AC unit at My dads house that I was remodeling, 3 months later it was stolen. It was the middle of the summer and we were trying to show the house. I called them and let the owner know what happened and we had a new unit within a few days.They have always done what they said and in the time they stated as well. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.I recommend to everyone needing heating or AC work.

Our system needed 3 pounds of freon and a new relay switch which Steve installed in an affordable a professional manner.     Our AC went out this weekend and we called on Sunday afternoon to have someone come out. Steve got us in this morning at 9am, he arrived on time and was incredibly professional and courteous! He was able to quickly resolve our issue and get us up and running again in no time! Our system is very old and will need to be replace soon so we asked him for an estimate to replace both outside units, and he quickly gave us an amazing price for two top of the line units that will work well for our home. Steve has earned mall of my future business, and I look forward to recommending him to everyone I know!

    I called Hesse HVAC for regular maintenance. As in the past, Steve exceeds expectations. During last winters sub zero temperatures, my unit froze up twice (the exterior unit froze like a hollow ice cube). I had Steve look into the cause. He discovered that two connectors to a circuit board had become loose. He simply reconnected the lose connections rather than attempting to sell me a circuit board, or etc. I appreciate his HONESTY.Thank you again, Steve. I highly recommend Hesse Air Conditioning and Heating. His trustworthiness and professionalism speak well for him and his company, and both these traits are what some HVAC companies can only aspire to attain! Kudos to you!!!

    My air condition was not cooling so I contacted two companies. Both gave me the same diagnosis, the coil was leaking. I chose Hesse Air Conditioning and Heating to replace the coil. It had lost all of the free-on and the system kept running all day long but not cooling. The system works perfect now. Steve was very professional, knowledgeable and priced right.     Highly recommend! Not only did Steven efficiently and effectively fix our AC drainage issue, he also kept us calm and relaxed after we came home to a water leak coming through our ceiling onto the hardwood floor below.     Steven came out to investigate my heating issue. He quickly diagnosed the problem, implemented a temporary fix and was back two days later with new part and got me taken care of. Then I asked if he installed Nest thermostats. Without hesitation, he said yes and set them up! Hes really good...responsive, honest and personable. Dont hesitate to call him. You wont regret it.

    A couple of days before the bitter cold we had in February 2021 I called to get an estimate for a new furnace (the old one was unrepairable, it had a cracked heat exchanger). What we needed was determined quickly and accurately; we scheduled the installation for the next day. The crew arrived on time, installed the new unit perfectly with the utmost of professionalism and courtesy. In addition, I also feel that the unit recommended was a good choice.Great job, great service and great knowledge of heating and a/c.In June 2021 it was determined that we needed a new capacitor for our a/c condenser since it had stopped running. Same story - punctual, competent, and professional.I think of this company as having master level technicians in their field. If you call them they will determine the problem, recommend the correct solution and fix the problem.

All of the larger companies had closed completely but I had lost heat to my home and needed someone to come right away.     I called Hesse after talking to another company that was clearly trying to up sell us. We called b/c we had a musty smell in our house at times when a/c was on. Steven Hesse came out, checked both systems and was very honest in telling us that we did not need anything replaced and the only thing we could try was to add an air scrubber to both systems. They have taken care of the issue and saved us literally THOUSANDS of dollars! I highly recommend Hesse, I will continue using them and will recommend to friends and family.
