Todd was great to work with and my system has never been so good. My house is from the 70s and he came highly recommended to help sort through some of my particular issues. He went above and beyond to help me understand what he was doing and this ranch style house has never been so cool ;)An example - I thought I needed new ducting but Todd recommended I keep what I had as it was very efficient, rigid duct. Most AC folks recommended ripping it out but he patiently explained why keeping it was a far better (and less expensive) choice. In the end, I’m thrilled with how he went about fixing this old house.

A few weeks after I had Todd come out to do the annual maintenance, my A/C stopped working after a power surge. Todd came out again, explained to me what happened, made sure everything with the unit was ok, told me what to do if it happens again, and did not charge me for the service call! I cannot say enough great things about this company!

Todd is amazing. Back when I was renovating my house, I had four different specialists come in. Most of them suggested doing a ton of work, but Todd explained a solution that not only seemed the most practical, but was the cheapest. From that moment on, I knew I found an honest technician. Since then Ive used Todd multiple times, and he always explains to me whats going on so that I understand what hes doing. Im not knowledgeable about HVAC units, but I know an honest tradesman when I see one, and Todd has a customer for life out of me.

Todd was absolutely excellent. When our 1994 AC unit started failing, Todd came out on a Sunday to provide us a quote and details.The following Saturday, he was able to install a brand new 18 SEER unit to our house in 1 day. He was prompt, straightforward, and handled all of our questions with ease.My wife and I are thrilled at his performance, and would definitely recommend him!

We had a great experience with Todd and Evaluator HVAC. Our HVAC was 20 years old and way overdue for replacement. Todd singlehandedly replaced the whole system and fixed some of the mistakes the original installers made decades ago, all at a more than reasonable price. Having a reliable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy contractor is invaluable, and Todd is definitely that. Working with Todd is infinitely more pleasant than working with a big company. We cant recommend Todd and Evaluator HVAC enough.

Believe me when I say this, no one will ever touch our HVAC system except Todd again. When we moved in about 5 years ago we had a new HVAC and damper system installed. Since then the same company has been doing our twice-yearly maintenance. I have been frustrated with the broken parts on a new system and the very uneven cooling from room to room so I reached out to Todd. When he came to assess our system he assessed it more thoroughly than I have ever seen. He climbed way back into my attic to check all parts. Once he had the diagnosis he went over everything with my husband and me. I felt educated and confident in his work and the plan he had to fix it. He even ensured the work was cost-effective for us. His prices are excellent and he did the work quickly. If you are looking for any HVAC work I truly cannot recommend him enough.

Todd provided the professional advice that showed me how to replace my units incrementally to fit both my needs and my budget.Additionally, he improved my ducts and installed a new filtering vent. We were SO pleased with Todd at Evaluator HVAC!! He was super prompt with coming out to diagnose the problem when our AC went out (in July!). After assessing the problem and putting on a temporary fix so we wouldn’t have to go another night without AC he then returned the next and had us up and running by the end of the day! Also he worked his tail off for nearly 12 hours at our house to make sure our new system was working well. We also really appreciated his transparency and knowledge regarding the whole process. We are so grateful for his work and would confidently recommend him!

Evaluator came up highly recommended when searching for HVAC system service. Scheduling the service call was easy, and Cindy was great with giving us the pre-appointment details. Todd arrived on time, performed a tune-up of both our HVAC systems and pointed out a maintenance issue that we chose to fix as well. Todd explained what he was doing, answered questions and went above and beyond to provide us with great service. We will definitely use Todds services for all HVAC needs in the future, and will happily recommend him to anyone who asks.

Todd (Evaluator HVAC) was highly recommended to me by a friend when I needed a complete HVAC system replaced in February. I did get multiple quotes from other companies as well. He was neither the cheapest or most expensive; pretty much in the middle.He and his assistant were there on time, completed the job in one day, including building a completely new plenum for the ducting and adding an additional duct/plenum for intake air. When he quoted the job, he took the time to explain why that needed to be done due to the poor design of the previous system. Our cooling bills this summer have dropped from $400+ a month last year to ~$180 a month this year! The system had a minor hiccup this July, and he diagnosed and repaired the problem with the outdoor unit within two hours of my call. You wont find a more professional, dedicated to quality installer/service HVAC person in the area. I highly recommend him.

Todd is extreamly professional and has a superb attention to detail. Which results in a fantastic workmanship. Todd treated my HVAC system like it was his own at his house. The result was outstanding for updates to my HVAC closet, new vents to rooms, new Ecobee thermostat, high air flow grills, air purifier, fresh air damper and a few more key tasks.

An intelligent, highly-skilled, expert craftsman who is an efficient, punctual, honest, fair, & courteous perfectionist is an understatement in describing Mr. Mowry-- a professional who CARES!!! Todd Mowry is 1st class on every level with his superior expertise in multiple disciplines and a bygone era of conscientious perfectionism in his work ethic-- even when subjected to a 12-hour, weekend workday!! Todds assistant James and scheduler Cindy (who filed our Austin Energy rebate forms) were 1st rate, too. And for such an advanced level of expertise, Todds labor as well as equipment charges were surprisingly reasonable. In fact, Todd significantly outbid major competitors... saving us thousands by installing a top of the line HVAC system that also provides an as-long-as-you-own-your-home life-time warranty. Staying totally transparent with clear, helpful explanations of everything he did, Todd became a trusted friend who weve already recommended to our neighbors. I just wish he could have built my whole house!

Our A/C was getting old and it was already underpowered for our house. Todd installed an awesome new system for us! We also had him install all the recommended upgrades, to give it that extra improvement. Like the ionizer for example, for air purification. Great improvement! Our house chills down so well now, which I love but some of my kids need hoodies for, haha. Todd was a lot of fun to work with and even braved the rain. Plus he saved us a lot of money with some clever workarounds to the weird issues of an old system. Oh, and being able to control our AC from my phone is awesome. It will even adjust the temp automatically when I leave or arrive home. Now everyone is happy!

We had a poor experience with Stand Brothers, who have apparently sold out to a cooperate giant and are no longer family owned since the last time we used them. We call Evaluator for a second opinion and Todd came out within the hour. He tried to service our existing HVAC and get it running for us so we didnt have to go without AC until we could get a more permanent fix. When that didnt work he offered to either replace the motor, which may or may not extend the life of the HVAC, or install a temporary motor until he could work us into his schedule to replace our HVAC with a newer model. We had him install the temporary motor, which he did not charge us for, and he wase able to get us in the following week to replace our HVAC. His team was very professional and very fast. The whole job was done in about 4 hours. He also helped us apply for whatever existing rebates we could get. He was very personable and accommodating and I really appreciate the work they did for us. I would recommend them to anybody.

I am blown away by the level of professionalism, skill, and attention to detail Evaluator brought to the job. They were compassionate and informative. They actually FIXED the REAL problem (instead of overcharging me for a manufactured problem and pretending it was my fault like other companies have done). Todd showed me step-by-step what was happening so that I had full understanding of the problem and how it needed to be solved. They also identified, ordered, and installed the part effectively and efficiently. I will absolutely be using them in the future and referring them to everyone I know. They were a pleasure to work with and helped immensely when my heater went out mid-freeze.

Todd is our hero!!!! It was 7 degrees outside when we found out our HVAC system had stopped working. He was highly recommended so we gave him a call. He immediately called back and helped me troubleshoot it over the phone (since we just received 6-8” of snow and coming in person wasn’t an option). He ran through a couple of suggestions and the last suggestion allowed it to fire right up. I spent hours researching ahead of time and he fixed my issue within 10 minutes. My experience with Evaluator HVAC was top notch from start to finish. I called to get a uv light installed and my system checked before summer. Cindy was extremely accommodating with scheduling the service and fit me into their busy schedule. My appointment was scheduled for 10am, and I received a call from Cindy thirty minutes prior to let me know Todd was in route to my house. When Todd arrived he introduced himself maintaining a social distance which I appreciated very much. Upon entering my house he put shoe covers, gloves , and a mask on. I showed him to my indoor unit and Todd got right to work. He made sure to clearly explain everything he was testing and why, making sure I understood exactly what he was doing from start to finish. After cleaning my coils and installing the light he made sure I understood how it all worked and what to do if it didn’t. He also was able to correct some mistakes that a previous company had made very easily and efficiently. The whole time making sure I was informed and giving me options on how to correct it. After he finished he made sure the area was cleaner than he found it, and made sure I didn’t have any other concerns. He made the payment process easy and hassle free, there were no surprises since he uses upfront pricing. Upon leaving he thanked me and went on his way. Honestly thanks to his tune up my system seems to be work better than it has in years. Cindy called about 2 hours later to make sure my system was operating correctly and if I was happy with the service provided. She let me know to reach out if there were any issues I’m the future and again thanked me for my business. I would recommend Evaluator to anyone needing AC work!!! I know I’ll definitely call them again when I need help.

I knew I had to replace a 27 year old system before it failed. After interviewing (getting quotes) from several large and independent HVAC services companies, it became clear that Todd with Evaluator HVAC was the clear choice. All others just quoted a replacement system and gave generic answers to our questions and concerns. Todd took the time to assess our current equipment, listen to our questions, evaluate and provide a solution that addressed our issues. We are extremely pleased with the entire process. As a REALTOR, I have no reservations referring Todd/Evaluator HVAC to any of my clients and fellow REALTORS.

I had called my go to AC repair place but they didnt call back. Found Evaluator HVAC on the Amana web site as a recommended provider, and reviews were good so I called. He was able to arrive within the hour, so I paid the deposit and he showed up within the hour as promised.His analysis matched what I had thought... a bad switch in the unit. But he also found decayed wires which could have shorted 220 volts in the near future. He cleaned those up, then sprayed insecticide to prevent insect damage... something other techs failed to do. He was both knowledgeable and ethical, and his work is professional.Before leaving, I asked what he charged for a pound of refrigerant. His response was cheaper than other companies Ive used. Once he left, I sent an email to our neighborhood group to recommend him for AC repair and install work. So yes... strongly recommend.

I am very pleased with the services that I received by this gentleman. Very knowledgeable, guy. I had a lightning strike that took out many electronics throughout my home; my A/C being affected as well. He was able to quickly identify exactly what the issue was, and I called him back to fix it once I received my insurance check. I had a peace of mind once he completed the job and left, as he did not switch out the board, and just leave, but made sure to check that everything was functioning properly, as it should. I respect a perfectionist who treats the customer as they would want to be treated. You can hire this man, and have the confidence that he will be fair, and also inform you of things that you may not have even thought to ask. I see his 28 years experience in his work ethic, and way that he treated me as his customer. He was prompt, and respected my time, by giving me arrival updates. Cannot say enough, about this man and experience. I will be telling all I know to use him for their A/C needs. Not many like this guy! Hire with total confidence that you will be pleased with his work.
