It’s Sunday and my heater went out yesterday. Did not expect someone to show up within 30 minutes of calling, and the technician was polite, quiet, and had no problem explaining what was going on to someone who knows nothing about furnaces or electricity.I don’t think I’ll ever use another company other than Bowles as long as I live in San Angelo. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our HVAC blower motor went out on Saturday 01/25/25 around midnight. The temperature was in the twenties that night and it got cold very quickly inside. I called Bowles heating and cooling first thing Sunday morning and left a message with their after hours hotline. Within 45 minutes, I received a call from Dillon to let me know he would be there in 30 minutes. When Dillon arrived, he quickly pinpointed the issue and ordered the motor on Monday. They called to let me know the motor was in today on Wednesday and both Dillon annd Craig came out to install the new motor. After that was installed, the heat pump outside was not working. After further troubleshooting, there were a few other parts that needed to be replaced. They were able to get us back on line and we are forever grateful for Dillon and Craig’s help and expertise in resolving the issues. These two men were so professional and care about their customers. We will always recommend Bowles to anyone who is in need of HVAC service.

Update- We have used Bowles again for a huge job and I wish I could leave more than 5 stars. We needed two HVAC units replaced, new duct work, an interior unit moved and a closet repurposed, an outside compressor moved, etc..... very extensive work. The owner, Mr. Bowles went over our house extensively to assess our situation and needs and told us detail by detail what needed to be done and was so patient in the midst of our crazy household, God bless him. We timed the work to be done over the Christmas 2019 holidays when we would be out of town. My daughter who came over to feed our cat every day took pictures of the daily progress and, expecting to see a torn up work zone, I was pleasantly surprised to see-every day- that they cleaned up and left the house clean. After the holidays even our neighbors commented on how diligently they worked and how nice they were..... which led to another neighbor using them the following week for his own HVAC replacement. We never feared anything was amiss and felt our home was in secure hands. They went above and beyond on everything- even fixing a totally unrelated item that was incorrectly installed, a fire hazard and something that needed to be addressed and repaired correctly. Their customer service was outstanding and we so appreciate their work ethic and professionalism. Many thanks to Guy, Jerry, Nathan, Caesar, Kris, and upcoming third generation Noah on the main job and Kevin at the follow up visit when special order items were installed. We’re customers for life. You should be too!We used Bowles on 5/6/19 after the company we used to use literally had no one available. Having seen Bowles trucks in our neighborhood we decided to try them. I called at 8:40 AM and not only did we receive service the same day, the repairman was an hour early which worked out perfectly for my schedule that day. David the repairman was friendly, professional and very fast. The repair to our a/c unit only took him 30 minutes to fix and the price was reasonable. I personally appreciated not being presented with a sales pitch for extra services like a maintenance agreement or service plan. We will definitely use Bowles again!

Nathan and his team at Bowles Heating and Cooling were very professional in providing us with timely friendly service by people who knew their trade very well and made recommendations to ensure peak performance of our new equipment they were installing. They offered us very reasonable pricing and installed our new AC unit the very next day and offered us a window unit to get us through the night till they could get the new system installed. My AC unit died overnight during the hottest week in Texas so I contacted the people who installed my Trane HVAC 9 years ago for help. The receptionist was quick to confirm my issue and gave me an arrival time of 3 hours later which I was grateful for. I was afraid of days long waits and an expensive hotel bill. But Alex showed up early and went straight to work. He zeroed in on the problem immediately and took care of the faulty part from his already equipped truck supply. The faulty capacitor was under a 10 year warranty so I really lucked out there and was charged only for the installation. Very fair and very timely. You can’t beat service and personable attention like Bowles did for me on a very hot day.

I will recommend Bowles to everyone looking for Heating and cooling help. We had an old AC/heating unit that was going out during the hottest part of the year just recently. We have a newborn in the house. We called for a quote and they showed up same day. Nathan was amazing at explaining everything and truly cared for our situation with a newborn and our AC going in and out at the house. They scheduled us that same week for a total replacement and even showed up a couple days earlier than scheduled due to a cancellation they had in their schedule. Waking up on a Saturday to find the AC not working in the middle of July was bad. The first 2 places I called did not answer and one place said they would come on Sunday sometime between 7am and 10PM.When I talked to Mr. Bowles he said he would be at my house by 12pm, and he was here by noon, its 1235 and he is on to the next job and my home is no longer a sauna.He was on time, he had respect for my home and animals. Great Service. We purchased a new Train system; from start to finish everything was thoroughly explained to our satisfaction. Bowles was on time for installation and completed the job when they said they would. We had cold air by dinner time. When Bowles completed the job, clean up was great, we didnt know they were here except for the new cold air. We just had our follow up appointment to make sure everything was working and to make sure we didnt have any questions. This company has a very professional team working for them. Mr. Bowles came out the first day and went over everything we needed to know. He gave us four different options to choose from and explained each one in depth. The next day they were here putting in our new units, inside and out. After installing the units, one of the installers explained the unit and thermostat to us. They then came back 10 days later to make sure everything was working correctly and just to talk with us about the units. I cant say enough good things about the service we received.Our AC unit needed to be replaced at least 10 years ago. We decided to go with a ductless system. We called Bowles and got an estimate immediately.They started the work yesterday and finished today. These servicemen had their work cut out for them. The owner of the company, Guy Bowles, came to our house near Christoval and spent 2 hours designing the new air and heating system... he climbed in the attic twice and thoroughly checked out the house before he wrote the estimate. He knew what we needed and custom built a system for our house, then went over the estimate thoroughly. The new system is everything he promised and we love it! Two thumbs way up for this company!!! I highly recommend this company!

Bowles Heating and Cooling comes through again!Our a/c unit was not as quiet as it used to be, we called for relief. At the same time our a/c and heating units needed their scheduled preventive maintenance performed.Kevin, a service technician was dispatched and he immediately located the problem with my a/c. My fault!! (You have to change the filter, folks!) After replacing the filter he immediately performed the routine semi-annual maintenance on the two units using a check sheet to ensure nothing was missed. He cleaned the areas where he worked, asked us if we had any questions and was eager to answer our questions.Kevin is exactly the technician thats needed in dealing with high-tech equipment and low-tech senior citizens. Our AC went out in late fall which was good timing since the outdoor temps were not too bad. We were therefore able to take our time making a decision about what to do and with which company. A service provider came out and measured our freon (or lack of, because we had none left). He gave a quote on replacing the freon and suggested we consider other options since the unit was installed in the early 90s and had a major coil leak. Nathan came back out and discussed different options and costs with us, and considering the future (we have been in San Angelo 2 yrs and plan on this house being our forever home) we chose to replace the unit now. Installation was quick and courteous, they cleaned up after their work and answered all of my husbands questions. Nathan kept us well informed through the whole process, including when he would come back to check on the work. Have had the system in place close to a month now and we are very happy with our choice. Will continue to use Bowles for all our heating and cooling needs. Thanks guys, great job!

Thanks Bowles for being the best to deal with on heating and Cooling systems. We had used you previously for service so when we needed to replace our unit we called to get an estimate. Guy came by later that evening and educated us on systems and gave us 4 options with no pressure to buy and let us think on it for a few days to decide which option we wanted. I need to add that he came the same evening that we called at a convenient time for both my wife and I maybe not the most convenient for him. Youll said what you would do and did what you said all agreed on with a handshake. Pleasure to do business like that its far and few between these days. Wouldnt take any money up front or even when came and installed only after having unit for 8 days and Nathan coming to do a follow up on installation and checking to make sure it was up to our and his standards that payment was made. This Trane unit works outstanding and as I understand it is not as important as to which brand you buy as to who installs it is the most important. Nathan came to our house and determined which units would be best for us, based on the size of our house and our specific needs. He was very honest and didn’t try to sell us more than we needed. They also made sure the air was evenly distributed throughout the house so there were no hot spots or cold spots. My AC unit, after some 20 years, finally gave out. I searched the web and located Bowles Heating & Cooling. I called to set up an appointment for a tech to inspect our unit. After some investigation, it was determined that our unit had lost is Freon. Being that the unit was 20 years old, I decided to replace it with a new one. Nathan Bowles came by the next day and offered me three solutions. He was low pressure and merely presented the three options, and their pros and cons. I decided to go with the top of the line Trane unit. My wife has a medical condition that requires AC to allow her to have a good nights sleep. Nathan was very responsive to our need.His crew of Leo, Chris and Cesar, showed up on the day that I was given for installation. They arrived at 9 am and finished removal of old unit and installation of new inside unit and outdoor unit by 5 pm. They cleaned up the work area after completion of the install. I shopped around for a new AC unit since mine was on its last leg. Out of 3 HVAC companies in the area that I requested quotes from, the Bowles owner, Guy, provided the highest level of professionalism and care. It was clear that he had a lot of experience in the business. He took a lot of time to evaluate my home, and offered several suggestions to help improve the efficiency. The installation crew consisted of 3 guys, and they did a good job. It took them 2 days to swap out all of my old Lennox AC components (copper included) for a new Trane. Several days later a follow up appointment was made with the son, who inspected the installation, gave me a good run down and understanding of the modern thermostat, and went over the bill. I will continue to use Bowles in the future for my HVAC maintenance and service needs. I would recommend them to anyone.

We called them out on a Tuesday. They couldnt get out there until Thursday. The tech was knowledgeable about the unit. He had to replace a few parts. Got it going and left. We discovered that the gas was just filling the unit. We turned the gas off to the unit which made it unusable. Called them back and told them our issue and the valve was faulty which should have been discovered the first time. It was replaced and is working well at this time. Other than the price which I thought was high. We are satisfied with the work.

I received quotes to replace my HVAC from 4 different companies in San Angelo. Three of them came by the house and looked at my unit then hopped back in their trucks and left. They emailed their quotes all subject to additional fees. Guy Bowles came by and talked me through different trouble areas of my home where he could improve my air flow in addition to replacing my unit. He stayed there and wrote out a quote in detail with no room for additional fees, this brought ease to the process for me as I knew exactly what I was getting into. A few days later his technicians installed my new Trane with ease. They let me use the unit for 3 weeks before they came back out to collect payment and at that time made sure there were no issues with the install. Bowles Heating & Cooling: 2nd to None:I had a few estimates for a new HVAC system. Mr. Guy Bowles (OWNER) did one for Bowles H&C. During his thorough calculations, he pointed out items that were set up wrong with my current system & how he was going to correct them. This is something the other estimators did not do. This initially gave me the indication that his price was going to be way above the others. I was very impressed with his knowledge, confidence and customer service but most of all, I was impressed that his estimate was the most economical. Trane was also the brand that I was leaning towards in the first place.Deinstallation/Installation appeared to go according to plan. The installation team was professional and it all took place in a single day. A few days after, I had a water leak in the house when my water softener regenerated at 11:00pm. There was water everywhere in the entryway to my house. The cause was a fractured PVC line that was near the Trane Air Handler. I believe the install team was unaware of the damage.Anyway, to make a long story short, Mr. Guy Bowles assumed total responsibility and ownership of all costs in the cleanup and restoration of the damage. Just about everyday Guy called with concern of my satisfaction. He always asked me if there was anything else that I needed done. I consider myself a seasoned professional in the customer service business and Guy treated me like I treat my customers. If I had to do this over again… Bowles Heating & Cooling would be the HVAC professionals that I would choose. I look forward to the comfort of my new Trane 2 stage system. Recently our air conditioning stopped working and I called a compony other than Bowles. They inspected my system and reported that my compressor was shot and the wires burnt and wiring insulation was melted, that if they tried to replace the compressor that the soot from the burnt wires would have contaminated the system and that the only solution was to replace the whole system for $7,000.00. My wife & I didnt feel good about what they were telling us. We then called Bowles and told the technician what the other compony had told us. The technician inspected our system and said that the compressor was still operational and that there were no burnt wiring. What he did find was a wiring harness to the breaker had a short. He replaced the wiring and charged us $130.00 compared to $7,000 from the other contractor, a savings of $6,870. We are forever grateful to Bowles for their competent and honest service. We will be doing business with them for any HVAC issue in the future.
