We have had pretty terrible experiences with multiple HVAC companies in the past, but Jon and his team were fantastic! He ran several tests in our first appointment to identify the root cause of the issues we had been seeing with our HVAC. He listened to our needs and recommended a path forward of changing our ductwork and vent system. Jon did the math behind our HVAC sizing and airflow in our house and designed a system that would work best for us within our budget. Once it was time for demo and installation, Jon ensured our floors, furniture, and belongings were protected before any work began. The team worked very diligently to complete the work and tested it against the initial design to ensure parameters were met. Jon was always willing to answer any questions we had and ensure we felt comfortable every step of the way. I plan to use Austin Star Services again in the future and would recommend the team to anyone!

Jon at Austin Star Services is a honest man. They provide quality services for HVAC. I recently contracted with them for 2 houses, and plan to continue with them for more rentals. Jon is upfront, honest, and provides quality service. He came to our house and spent over an hour looking at the condensation, even though he did not need to. I highly recommend him and his company, they are a small family owned, from Austin, and we all should support local businesses.

Jon knows his STUFF! He is honest, well-versed and uses data to support his suggestions/improvements. He helped us when our AC went out and was at our home day and night until we were back up and running. Going above and beyond, he checked up on us daily until he knew that we were happy with the system. Not to mention the business runs smoothly, on-time, and professionally. I HIGHLY recommend Austin Star Services!!!

Thanks again Austin Star. John, Maria and the crew always perform with professionalism. These guys did a complete system install with a York system. I have a maintenance contract with them now. If you are not satisfied with your HVAC provider then you should consider Austin Star!

Austin Star just completed a very significant job for us and we could not be more pleased with Jon Esquivel, the owner. His knowledge, approach and determination was amazing. We were having a lot of air quality issues and the house smelled like the attic. Also, the master bedroom would not cool in the late afternoon. We talked to several AC groups. One supposedly sealed the house for us to stop the smell, but no change. They started suggesting the ozone machines but our research suggested that was not a safe option for us.Jon is all about testing and making sure that what he provides will get measurable results that he can show you. I was a bit hesitant at first. He seemed so detailed that I wondered if it was overkill. But he really knows his stuff. He has studied the AC and home air quality subject and is very passionate about it and passionate about being really great at his trade.Jon went over his recommendations several times to answer all of our questions. He found rebates and did all the work for us. He communicated with us constantly. We knew when Austin Star was coming, when they would arrive, how long it would take... When he was done with the job he came back and retested everything and was able to show us with his data how much things had improved. When the master bedroom was not cooling as we thought it would he was back right away to figure out why and solved that issue too.This work is a big investment and air quality in a home is complicated. Jon is a veteran who has started his own business that delivers great service, amazing knowledge and terrific determination to come through for his customers. You will get the results you want from Jon and feel like you are getting what you pay for. We highly recommend him.

Jon has performed a design and installation of the HVAC system in my house with following requirements:1) Provide targeted amount of fresh air in the house, i.e., CO levels in the house had to stay below a certain threshold.2) Provide extremely high level of filtration – hospital grade due to very high sensitivity to seasonal pollen.a. Ensure that the pollen from outside was not getting into the house by sealing the house and with HVAC design that would provide a positive pressure inside of the house.3) Ensure that the whole HVAC system is electric, i.e., use heat pumps instead of gas furnaces.Jon has created several designs that involved various choices to make sure that goals can be met at varies budget tiers.Jon is extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable and has provided unparalleled level of care explaining how different setups work, what exactly they do, what would happen if changes are made.Jon is extremely detailed oriented and provides very high-quality work.I’m extremely satisfied with his work and service.

These guys are great! We got quotes from multiple contractors for some ductwork and ac cleaning and they gave us the most confidence in their work and really put forth effort to give us multiple options and gave very clear expectations. My wife interacted with them for the most part and she felt heard and taken care of during the whole process. Since then, Ive used them again for a separate emergency summer repair while I was away from home and they were communicative and efficient.

I remember seeing a FB video that Jon did and it was very impressed because it was informative.So my mother was in dire need of ac service and Jon was great with her and put her at ease. By being honest and not taking advantage of her giving only what she needed and nothing else. Nothing bad to say, everything down to the tech who serviced has all been pleasant. Communication is honest, knowledgeable and effective. They even send a detailed email afterwards with pictures every time recapping everything done. Will continue to use Austin Star for services needed. A++
