The Vista Verde Custom Homes family team that built my wife and my retirement home in Lago Vista, TX exceeded all of our expectations; especially with all of the Labor shortages and supply and demand challenges during and post-COVID-19. John, Brenda, and their two sons, David and Danny have demonstrated that they truly care less about profit margins and more about the customer’s needs (and some wants) in relation to building their homes; large or small. My wife and I can’t say enough great things to reflect how our End-to-End home building experience was conducted with this professional and highly knowledgeable home building team. I also have to give credit to the multiple sub-contractors that they have used over the many years of building custom homes, that also contributed to our home building experience. From the very first meeting my wife and I had with Vista Verde, all the way to home completion, we could not have been more pleased. They built the house we had spent a great deal of time having designed, which is far different from the other builders we interviewed in the local area. The construction phase was professional, efficient, and without pressure. Then they worked quite smoothly with my wife to handle the paint, carpet, lighting, and tile choices to complete our home. We had a fabulous experience building our home with Vista Verde and would not hesitate to have another home built by them.

I worked with Vista Verde on the construction of my home in Lago Vista, and the entire process was very smooth, with none of the hard sale tactics or hidden costs you might encounter with some other builders. The owner John was easy to work with and quite knowledgeable on the construction side of things, often making helpful suggestions on details of the home that the average buyer might not have considered. Brenda helped make the selection process for various items like flooring, paint, and other cosmetic options as easy as possible. Everything was done within the contracted budget and along the timeline that John initially gave me when starting. To sum it up, I had one of the top new construction inspectors in the Austin area (a former general contractor himself) say after the final inspection that it was one of the better built homes hed seen around Lago Vista, finding no major issues during either the framing or final inspection.

We had never built a home, and John & Brenda Johnson at Vista Verde Custom Homes made the process easy and, actually, fun. From the day we walked our lot in Point Venture to the day we were handed the keys to our new home, we were involved in every phase of the build. John & Brenda found the wood worker to build our wood kitchen and bathroom countertops and suggested wood look tile (which is beautiful) for our flooring. We are so happy with the final results and are pleased that the Johnsons included us in all the decision making (even the red kitchen cabinets). We consider John & Brenda friends who made our move to the charming Point Venture community a reality. Thanks Vista Verde.

I couldnt be more impressed with the courtesy and consultative approach by the owner . He met me at my home the following day after I stopped by their office in Jonestown. He walked my property with me, listened to all my ideas and concerns. He took it all in and was more of a listener than a talker. At the end of my ramblings , I asked him what he would do and he gave me the most perfect advise and next steps . Money wasnt a thing with John, he made advice honestly on what he would do. I plan to use Vista Verde homes for my project and future projects to come.
