Robert and Janice were great throughout the buying process. The independent home inspector had only a few minor exceptions and stated that the home was one of the best built homes that he had inspected. We have been in the home for 3 months and all is well. There were several warranty items submitted and Robert quickly resolved those items. The cons are that even though UnionMain demonstrated excellent construction, in our opinion, they used in many cases sub par materials (e.g. door hardware and locks; appliances and kitchen cabinets). Honestly we looked at several builders and the industry appears to fall in this same trap. However we feel that other builders “violated” this material issue far more than Unionmain. We highly recommend UnionMain but would be more pleased with the purchase if higher quality materials were used. If the quality of the materials displayed in model homes were used in all homes then that would be full satisfaction.
