We are new to this state, new homeowners and selected to have Meritage build our home. We have nothing but good things to say about Meritage starting from selecting our plan, our lot, our items at the design center to watching the builder build our home. The closing and escrow was also a breeze. We bought in the middle of the Covid pandemic and during the real estate wars. But each step of our way was layed out and communicated to us so we were kept informed.Now that we have closed and been in our home for 6 months, everyone who walks in our home loves it. We did have minor issues which were quickly resolved by the builder.Thank you to Mike, our builder, Linda at the front office, Tim at the finance department and of course, our realtor, Shimon, who is not a part of Meritage.Thank you Meritage for making our dreams come true...Mr. & Mrs. Hill

Builder Mike and Sales rep Leah at Northstar community in Haslet, Tx are knowledgeable and courteous.We enjoyed the personable service they provided. We looked at many new builds before deciding on a Meritage Home. Meritage Homes are built with excellence. We love everything about our home.

The homes are beautiful. I love my house. The only irritation that I have is with the people that come out to fix what you will find in any new home. Minor things that might go wrong or you see that needs to be fixed. I had the Door people come out to fix the seal around the house these people are professional, respectful and fix it in a hot second. My faucet was leaking and the plumber that come out is just the nicest person you can meet. Then my big problem that I had was when Winter came after I moved in, my heat didnt work, and it would be freezing cold in the house. Airtran is the company that comes out. The disrespect that I received from them is mind-blowing. My unit outside would be frozen you could see that ice around the unit, and I was told by Airtran that this is normal, uh no it is not. I have a heat pump and they would tell me that this is normal. So far this Winter I had no problem with the unit. The techs and even higher ups from the company would talk to me like I had no brain. The questions that I ask and the answers that I would get would change by the second. I was told that when the temp goes below 23 degrees that unit would not work properly. When I told them that the temperature was 35 degrees the answer would be that this is the temperature that the unit is not working properly. I would say you just said that when the temperature goes below 23 degrees the unit do not work properly so which on is it. They would get upset and leave. I also was told that the unit should defrost itself. So, I would ask in order for the unit to defrost itself something has to be running in order for the unit to do that. The answer would be yes. Then I would say so if nothing is running the unit is not working right. That is when I would get the run around and I would say just answer my question and then the answer would be yes, the unit is not working like it should. Like I said Airtran is the only company that gives you the run around. I would never ever deal with them again but at the moment I have too since this is the company that does the service for Meritage Homes. I even was told by Steve that is one of the higher ups that I have a problem since they would not come out to fix anything on my unit anymore because I called him out on the answers that he gave me, and they would change. That is when I had problems with my Thermostat. To make a long story short, Airtran did not know how to solve the problem that I had but April Air who makes the Thermostat did. Now that problem is taken care off thanks to April Air.Now on a more positive note. As far as my house goes like I said I love my house. I love the floor plan the space and my bathroom is heaven. I have lots of storage space and the room are nice size. My kitchen has nice white cabinets and I have lots of space in my kitchen. The way the houses are build and the floor plans are outstanding.I enjoy being at home and I enjoy coming home to my beautiful house. Meritage Homes cant help how the techs behave when they come out, so I dont hold that against them. One bad apple in the bunch you will find anywhere.

We had an amazing buying experience with Meritage. I am first time home owner, the buying process was simple and clear. All the issues were fixed after year end inspection.

I love my home it’s energy efficient and bills are low.. everybody loves my house and tell me how roomy it is, floors are nice too.. also Meritage homes builders are fast unlike others I’ve seen building around here.. Meritage builders are about business and gets the job done .. glad I chose them!!!

Sales worked hard for us, title company, loan broker also. Tyler Boertje was a key person in explaining how things worked, and getting small things fixed. Overall, very impressed.
