We love Maykus Homes! Our first experience in 2010 was excellent, so after moving out of Texas for a few years we decided to have Maykus build us another home when we moved back. The whole team is great to work with - and our house looks great! It is really comforting to know whats beneath the surface of a Maykus home (solid framing, zip board wall sheating where others use styrophome or even paper, etc.) - peace of mind that we live in more than just pretty interior and exterior surfaces. Cant recommend them enough, and would definately use them again!

My wife and I bought a Maykus home after it had been started (framed with roof), and were very happy to work the the Maykus team which consists of the Maykus family members and qualified staff whom are extremely helpful, patient and and professional. Throughout the the build process the Maykus team helped us make modifications to the existing plans, work with us through the design process, and they were very responsive to questions and minor changes we made. This was the first construction loan and house we had built and the Maykus team made it a pleasurable experience...all while we were remote when the house was being built. Strongly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality, well engineered home, with style.

Maykus built our custom home in Southlake. This is our eleventh house and by far the highest quality and the best builder ever! We contracted to have the home built while we lived five and a half hours away and were not in Southlake to watch the progress other than trips every couple weeks. Kosse Maykus did a fantastic job designing the home and Eason is an exceptional builder. The entire Maykus Team is a pleasure to work with. Our home is exactly what we wanted and exceeds our expectations for quality and finishes. We were extremely happy with the value Maykus provided and the craftsmanship provided in the building process. My family and I are finishing up a project with Maykus Homes and, while I never write reviews, I feel compelled in this instance to share our experience. From the get-go, we have been treated with courtesy, kindness, and respect by each and every member of the Maykus Homes Team. We have been kept up to date, in the loop, and on-track throughout every phase of the project. Any time we had a question or concern, their response was always immediate. They not only listened to our wants and needs but also added much-appreciated value to our plans (thank you Eason and Lacey!) Contractors showed up on time, were courteous, thorough and went above and beyond our expectations. The craftsmanship is outstanding. We were awed. My general feeling about this company and its owners/employees is they are not so much concerned with building houses as with building “homes.” Thank you, Maykus Homes!Oh, and P.S., our home looks stunning!!

It certainly took a while to get here from Houston...but the wait was worth it. We have had five houses and this is the sixth, andis the very best built house we have ever owned. The size the and the design are perfection. They care about people rather than making profit. Our builder Eric was great through the process and always transparent if any issues.

We just moved into our new home in the Shady Brook development and had to drop a note about how much we love the experience with Maykus homes.Working with Eason, Karen, Jan and the rest of the team has just been wonderful!! Oh and I cant forget Mr. Maykus Kosse, who is just a joy to talk to about homes, history and the community.From us walking into the model and loving the home and through the entire buy, build and the move in has been one of the easiest events ever.let me give you my 2 cents about what you get.1. The home is such high quality on their base home. Upgraded windows the Pella back doors, the thick wood floors etc. The attention to detail is great.2. The process is wonderful from pick the house to the picking the colors to picking the tile was so much fun. Jan Maykus has a wonderful insight and eye to helping pick items that will work for you. We love all our tile and accessories in the house!3. I love the energy efficiency that are built into the house, the heat pump to the insulation and hardiness of the building materials is top notch.4. The communication though the process has been impressive. Getting to know Eason personally and the whole Maykus family family and team: has made the whole process great. They are so responsive to any question and they respond immediately.5. They do not just build houses they build community in their projects. From Christmas parties to happy hours, getting to know new folks building and looking. You cant put a price on that! its is special.If you are looking for a new home or even a remodel, please look at using Maykus.We could not be more happy with our new home and community!! Love it

We lived in Southlake for 26 years on 2 acres in a home built by Maykus custom homes. We decided to downsize and get to Grapevine. We saw the concept of Shadybrook and knew this was the right move for my wife and I.Since moving in, I do not miss the house in Southlake at all. Our utilities sometimes cost 800-900 per month. Our total utilities were less than $150 the first and second month. The encapsulated home is a huge difference, the attention to detail, the staff is very helpful and Grapevine is busting at the seams. Maykus homes has built a very high quality home at a very reasonable price.Eason Maykus is easy to deal with, very attentive through the whole process. Jan Maykus will help with selections in this very overwhelming process. She can help your house become a home with her expertise. My family has always been a customer of Kosse Maykus, the value of having a home built by a fourth generation home builder pays off at the end of the day. We love our home in Shadybrook.
