I didn’t get a house with them, but the sales rep, Cesar, was awesome. He drove me to the model home that wasn’t even in this neighborhood just so I could see the floor plan. He followed up with me and waited patiently (about 10 days) for me to get the money needed. This area is fantastic and close to the highway. You have a developed neighborhood around you with good Northside ISD schools around as well . I’m extremely disappointed that it didn’t work out for me as somebody picked the house I wanted within 12 hours of me having the money I needed for the earnest payment…. But that’s not their fault, that’s my fault for not being prepared on the first day. The main negative thing that other builders told me about KB is that they want a lot of of earnest money or skin in the game upfront. That sucks for me as the consumer as other builders are willing to go a lot lower than $3-6,000 requirement of KB. Even though I don’t like it, it is fair and it is probably a good business practice on KB’s side since it guarantees that only the serious buy.
