Love the home! Builder is very responsive to any problems. But, placing 6 smoke alarms in redundant locations in a one story 2300 square foot home on 12 ft ceiling is impossible. After four months we’ve already changed one. The second one is disconnected because we can’t get up that high. What is a normal person to do in the middle of the night?

My husband and I have already raved about the lender we are going through Highland HomeLoans. Feel free to go see our review for the lending side.Very early on in the year, my husband and I were in the early phases of having a home built through Highland Homes. We were originally recommended by a friend who bought her home in Clements Ranch.We really liked the knowledge and the fast response we got from Nichol. When Covid happened, we backed out of the process. Even then Nichol was really nice and helpful, which really impressed us.Midyear when things settled down we decided to try again, but thought we should shop around. We ended up in a sales presentation with another builder and it was so awful that I excused myself to go outside and call Nichol. We compared everything to our earlier experience with them. The builder we had shopped around with had lower prices and a better deal on closing costs, but we realized that the quality was the biggest factor, from both the homes themselves and the sales staff.When I called Nichol out of the blue he remembered who we were and what we were interested in and had the perfect house already in mind. Its still being built but weve been able to step inside it and were already blown away.We are about an hour away from the house and go down when we can to take pictures. Nichol has gone out without us asking to take a photo and text it to us. Weve appreciated all of the communication from him.Our communication with the gentleman responsible for building the house had also been amazing. Patrick has reached out to us many times with updates and honest answers about the process.Weve had a wonderful experience so far and as it gets closer and closer to closing the trust we have in them is constantly rewarded. Highly recommended.
