I would like to thank Charlie with H&I construction and remodeling. This is the second time I have hired him to repair my commercial building that sustained a great amount of damage. To begin with, Charlie treats me like family, Secondly, he is very up to date with all building codes and will negotiate with the insurance companies to do the job correctly the first time. He is always around to make sure his employees are doing the job to his expectations and to listen to any concerns one may have i have dealt withe other contractors that lie, cheet, and do sloppy work not a good experience. To end with, Charlie is a great contractor, trustworthy, and a good Christian. Thank you Charlie for everything you have done to get this job finished. In short, I highly recommend Charlie and H&I construction and remodeling handle any job.

Our remodel journey has been a nightmare, dealing with contractors who don’t keep their promises and charge outrageous prices that feel like theft. Then we stumbled upon Charlie from H&I Construction, and he completely transformed my kitchen dreams into reality. Unlike the many contractors we’ve encountered, he actually delivered on his word and offered fair pricing without cutting corners. I just had to give him and his company a shout-out. If you need a contractor who’s genuine and really wants to help, Charlie is the guy you want on your side!

Charlie Hankins was excellent to work with. Following water damage to our condo, Charlie worked closely with our insurance company (State Farm). He met with the adjuster at our place and carefully worked through the damage with the adjuster. State Farm promptly approved Charlie’s estimate. He then worked closely with us to select the materials and schedule work according to our availability. All of the tradesmen that Charlie used were professional and skilled. The result was ideal. I would not hesitate to recommend Charlie and his team. They not only met expectations, they regularly exceeded them.

Charlie and his crew did a great job on our bathroom repair/remodel, we were very pleased with the end results of our gorgeous “new” bathroom! The original issue for repair was due to a massive leak in upstairs bathroom that affected not only that bathroom but came down through the ceiling onto the downstairs bedroom below .Charlie was very knowledgeable and effective in dealing and communicating with our insurance company to get everything that we needed and deserved. Wow, we are so happy with our kitchen remodel and hardwood flooring. Charlie was great and the foreman, Tony, was fantastic! They made sure each detail was perfect and coordinated the crew’s efforts. This involved removing a load bearing wall and adding a beam. Looks great! 8 weeks from demo to finish with crews showing up every week day!

Charlie Hankins and H&I Construction/Remodeling Inc. are wonderful!Our experience with Charlie and friends stems from a kitchen fire involving a built-in double oven on a self-cleaning cycle. Fortunately, we were in the kitchen area and were able to call 911 immediately. Despite being a contained fire, the damage was extensive. Everything in the kitchen breakfast area was damaged. Smoke spread throughout the house.Eventually, our insurance company asked Charlie to take a look at things on their behalf (as well as ours). That was a God send.Charlie and his company H&I are located in our local area as are his suppliers and subcontractors. He pointed us in the right direction for options and selections though the final decision on what and who to use remained ours.To give an idea of the scope of the work, but not an exhaustive list: Cabinets, countertops, electrical, HVAC, drywall, plumbing, flooring, security system, and appliances had to be replaced. All open areas in downstairs and stairwell had to be repainted. Smoke smell everywhere had to be mitigated. Initially, we never thought our home would be the same.Charlie made the rebuild process work. He controlled the many moving parts. His creativity and years of experience showed as his suggestions came to life. Charlie was in communication with us all the time. But, more than that, he was in contact with the insurance company. He made an overwhelming task (for us) seem effortless. Always the professional, he is also a caring person responding to our needs. The project was successful, things are better than ever thanks to him.My bottom line is that we recommend Charlie and H&I without reservation! We will be using them on a future remodel project (and have already started discussions with him on that job).

My Family and I are Loving and enjoying our home . After a small fire and not happy with what other contractors were offering to do , God sent us Charlie with H&I. He came in with his team and reassessed damage which was more than what Insurance adjuster had claimed. He took charge and made sure that insurance would cover all the work that needed to be done. I’m so grateful God put Charlie and his team in our path . Thank you Charlie for all you did to make our home livable again.PS: My grandkids are excited to be spending the upcoming holidays at Grandma and grandpas again!!

Every aspect of the remodel project was a professionally done project. Met with Charlie multiple times before any construction began so we knew what to expect and how long the project would take. Tony, the foreman, kept us informed as to what was going to happen and how many crews would be there each day. The remodel was completed quickly due to planning and consistent supervisor guidance.

I wholeheartedly recommend this company for any home remodeling jobs. I contacted Charlie and he came the next day and spent two hours going over how to replace my double oven with modification of my existing cabinet. He also discovered I needed an electrician and the best team responded and the end result was phenomenal and I cant recommend them enough. He will be on speed dial for any home issues and there is always something and now that I have a go to person it has taken the pressure off trying to find a trustworthy person who will keep his word and follow up with the customer. Awesome!
