Update: they fired the original construction manager and brought in a new manager Don, who has been fantastic taking care of everything promptly.Just had my inspection report and there are so many issues.This is after months and months of overpromise and undeliver on dates - every couple weeks the date would move out a couple weeks. It’s like a delayed American Airlines flight that eventually gets cancelled after you wait in the airport all night on the floor with the delay a moving target.But that’s not the main remaining issue.The biggest remaining issue is AC. It’s summer in Texas. Aka hot.Inspector said the AC is unable to cool the place due to being undersized.They fit a 3 ton unit for a 2400sf place in high humidity Texas with super tall ceilings and a lot of windows.If they had presented the manual J calculation (which doesn’t account for humidity) that said it was more than enough, I might believe them and just let them replace the unit and see if it works.But they refuse to release the report from the HVAC contractor and neither will the HVAC contractor give to anyone but the builder.So what are my options here other than a) working through my attorney already on retainer for this or b) backing out of the deal I and my realtor have worked so hard to make happen?
