The maintenance team is amazing! Extremely quick response. Any request that I have submitted (through the app-easy and fast) is resolved within 24 hours. Very reliable. Once they came in to respond to a request and I had a garbage bag sitting there that I was planning to put down the chute. The gentleman asked if it was trash and offered to drop it down the chute for me. I was shocked by the level of customer service that they extend. Love them!

I have lived here for an year and we had a great spacious apartments on top floor. The location is great: close to lot of restaurants, close enough to Freeway and isolated enough to be a safe neighborhood. The parking garage has a shutter door which is pretty good to keep cars safe. Some charges maybe considered slightly expensive

I think I’m on my third year at what now is The Anderson. I just moved to a little bit larger unit with an office and love it. Other than normal hiccups I really have no complaints. Seems like we get more communication with the new management team which is great.I’m safe, comfy and centrally located to everything I need. I’m content and I would definitely recommend.

My partner and I just leased a new place here three weeks ago and just finished moving in yesterday. Our experience so far, from the interest to the official leasing process has been wonderful (though not without hiccups).First, the apartment management and staff have been very warm, quick to respond, and on top of things. Kate is the one who showed us apartments and helped us get everything set up. She has been lovely, understanding, and communicative when we had some issues to resolve.On moving day, I had no trouble reserving the loading dock and getting all my things up the freight elevator. The concierge also was kind enough to open up the loading dock for us to receive a large furniture delivery on a Sunday, a day on which we had not reserved the loading dock. We also had an issue with the A/C prior to being fully moved in when we were still bringing boxes in. I notified them late in the evening after office hours, and by the following morning when I came back to bring some more boxes the issues was resolved.As far as the apartments go, the community itself is beautiful and clean. This is one of the nicest places we have ever lived, by far, and we moved from a luxury complex in Montrose not too far away. The amenities are excellent: pool table, cinema room, a gym with a rowing machine (dont often find these in regular apartment gyms), beautiful pool, and a small bark park on the 8th floor that is convenient for walking your dog in the middle of the work day or at night, in a secure area.As far as the unit itself goes, my first point of amazement is that I have not heard neighbors once since moving in. Not through the ceilings, floors, or walls. The front door is the least insulated point through which noise travels, and I only hear hallway noise occasionally when someone has a rolling cart for groceries or someone is coming by to gather the garbage for valet trash.I have not once heard upstairs, downstairs, or next-door neighbors. I am constantly pleasantly surprised by how well insulated the walls are. Another unexpected positive is how well the units remain temperature controlled. We moved from an apartment where the temperature would rise rather quickly and we had to have the a/c on constantly. Being a person that thrives in cooler climates, we typically kept previous apartment at 67 degrees. Here, I have found that the unit will stay right at 70 to 72 even if I set it to higher when I leave, meaning that the apartment stays cool without having to constantly run the A/C (keep in mind it is November, so we are not dealing with outside heat in the 100s, but outside temps at the moment are in the 70s to 80s).Cons:-The main thing that is bothersome at the moment is that the hallways do sometimes smell of trash, sometimes faintly and other times more strongly. Its a weird juxtaposition that such a luxurious and beautiful facility would smell unpleasant in the halls.-Packages are received through Fetch. I have had Fetch in the past at previous complexes and while I dont mind them and feel they do a good job, it can be annoying to sometimes wait an additional day for a scheduled delivery. (However, I understand that receiving hundreds of packages per day would likely be very inconvenient for the office staff in a residential building with 8 floors).Overall, my short experience here has been overwhelmingly positive. I love the area around the building, have not experienced noise issues within the unit or from street noise, and the management staff has been wonderful and helpful.Should anything change, I will update the review. However, our leasing and moving process has been about as easy and welcoming as it could be!

I made Such the right choice - the building is modern, the pool is beautiful but what sets this building apart from others is the amazing management staff. They have exceed my expectations par none - always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate my every request!

Weve lived here for a little over 2 years and am just now leaving a review because of the positive experiences weve had with the new management. Royce and Miguel have been great to work with and their customer service ended up swaying us away from moving after having some negative experiences with the previous ownership. This place is clearly moving in a positive direction (communication from the staff has already been so much better). So if youre reading this thinking about moving here, I highly recommend. Great location and facilities.

I lived here more than 5 years and its an excellent property! The staff are great and constantly show that they value their renters and go out of their way to make things easier for you. I was transition between apartments in this building because I wanted a different size and when there was confusion on price for the transfer, but I didnt know until I already made the decision to change units - Marissa and Kayla are so fantastic and stepped up, they were willing to work everything out with me to make sure I was perfectly happy! More than than after my movers were late, and the cleaners were late, Marissa, Kayla, and Dana all went out of their way to make my life easier during the move. Im a really big fan of this property, great place, excellent people!!

Gables River Oaks is an excellent property and by far the best place I have lived in Houston. The entire staff, from the leasing office to the concierge and maintenance, are always so kind and willing to go the extra mile to address any concerns you have. Special shout-out to Kayla in the leasing office for being super accommodating and helpful ever since I first toured the apartment complex - she also puts together some really cute resident events that my friends and I always try to attend! This property is luxurious, well-kept, and safe - plus the location can’t be beaten in my opinion! There is ample parking for yourself and guests which is a nice change from other apartments I’ve visited in the area. The gym, pool, and movie room are great amenities as well. As far as the units go, they are modern, QUIET (seriously, you can hardly ever hear your neighbors), and each have a built-in speaker system (which is one of my favorite amenities I haven’t seen anywhere else!). Overall I have loved my time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to call home!

The amenities are amazing, the neighbors are friendly, and the staff are great, especially our leasing agent Kayla. My husband and I have been looking around the river oaks area for a new start and came across these apartments while passing by. The customer service is 10/10!!! the leasing agent Mariela did such a good job with making us feel so informed and comfortable. She knew exactly what we wanted and worked with us. I’m so glad we decided to check this place out on a whim! And honestly Mariela was so easy to click with she brought my anxiety down and made this really stress free (I’m an over-thinker!!) even though we had not made any certain decisions, Mariela didn’t pressure us like other agents do. We have a follow up next week and so far things are looking great! The place is beautiful and amenities are great. The floor plan we are really interested in is not currently available but Mariela let us know about similar ones that both fit our budget and still had the major wants we discussed. She also did a good job at letting us know about the area and the community happenings which is a plus because I’m a social butterfly and love being involved and meeting new people. 1000/1000 experience overall.

A great place to call home. The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The workout room is open 24//7 (which I love) which is rarely crowded and the pool area is also one of my favorites. I love the convenience of the elevators and access to multiple parking spaces. I love staying here and could not feel safer anywhere else.

Gables is truly a wonderful place with a stellar management team. Extremely attentive staff with super convenient amenities and services. Absolutely no complaints as every concern, question, and request was looked into, answered, or solved. The management team is incredible and has been really committed to keeping the complex in a really great state. One of my favorite members of the staff, Kayla, has been responsible for so many of the themed events and soirees that take place every quarter! She is super kind and very helpful if you have an apartment request or concern and is always on top of things. My friends and I have enjoyed taking part in so many of these events and Ive found Kayla and the other staff to be such a joy to chat with! Could not recommend this apartment enough as it has the space, safety, luxury, and quietness that anyone would appreciate.

I recently toured this property and had Mariela give me a tour of a 2bed 2bath. The property was lovely with really good amenities. I am in LOVE with the swimming pool and the gym is quite modern. I had many questions, as this was my first apartment inside the loop, and Mariela answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable! Out of all the apartment tours I’ve gone in search for my new home, this has been the most memorable - not only because of the property itself, but because of the staff (thank you Ms. Mariela).

When I needed help she remembered my name and apartment number which meant alot to me.The community itself is top notch. State of the art interior design (feels like a hotel), Music & art in the hallways, Always clean and fresh smelling everywhere, Bluetooth speakers in the walls, Safe garage, controlled access, great surroundings & location. Love it.

I moved to this apartment building after my pipes burst at its sister location during the freeze in 2021. Merissa from the leasing office was immediately very helpful, waiving extraneous move-in fees and giving close consideration to the stressful circumstances. Shortly thereafter, my roommate unexpectedly had to move internationally, and Merissa was again very mindful of the situation, ensuring a seamless transition to a new unit without incurring extra administrative expenses. The entire leasing office team responds quickly to emails and always provides resolutions or troubleshooting for any issues. The maintenance team is also amazing and very friendly, addressing maintenance requests immediately. The concierge is a major perk of this apartment, especially as a habitual Amazon shopper receiving countless packages. Management also hosts social events and creates a strong sense of community.The gym is great and very clean; it recently got new and improved equipment! I also appreciate the convenience of having two dog parks. However, they could use an extra weekly cleaning (and residents should be held accountable for picking up after their four-legged friends!).The downside, however, is that this apartment building is located across from a popular social venue. This causes a lot of noise and disturbance in the surrounding area, specifically on Virginia Street. There is backed-up traffic from the venues valet service, streets are packed with parked cars, and loud commotion that persists late at night (including honking, blaring music, and yelling visitors on the street). Visitors of this popular venue also manage to follow a car into the resident parking garage to park. Unfortunately, the only quiet night seems to be on Mondays.Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment for its unparalleled management and amenities!

I love how the staff creates a warm home comfort but also very clean fresh environment.The eloquent sounds of soft music in the hallways and elevator brings in a very peaceful and pleasant setting. I have lived here for two years and have had the BEST experience. My neighbors are really quiet and I never hear wild parties.The walls and floors must be really thick because I can barely hear my neighbors at all. All the team members are so nice and helpful. They always remember me and make me feel like a VIP. They do an exceptional job of maintaining the building, pool and pet parks. I have been proud to call Gables River Oaks my home and will miss living here. If it werent for a job transfer I wouldnt be leaving. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful place live in the River Oaks area.

I’ve been touring apartments in Houston for the past 3 days, and no one came close to the experience Tatiana was able to provide. She was sweet, caring, and straight to the point. Amazing person, even better personality! She was the only one out of all property managers to ask me to sign/fill out an application, and I did! Tatiana is a star employee who gave us the time to clearly explain the property and lay out all options for my family and I. Gables is a beautiful property, and Tatiana is an amazing employee. Regardless of the amazing amenities Gables has to offer, you should consider signing for the management alone!

I’ve only officially been a resident for about a week but I’ve been blown away by the staff here since the first day I visited. I was given a tour by Kayla and I was immediately impressed by her knowledge, professionalism, and warm personality. She took the time to answer all of my questions and never once made me feel rushed or pressured. In short, it was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had while apartment hunting and I’m very grateful for her help in finding my dream apartment.I also want to shout out Grace and Merissa who were equally exemplary when I needed help ironing out some details and finalizing my move-in. Again, I’m still a very new resident but thanks to the outstanding staff here, I already feel at home. :)

This is my favorite apartment community in Texas. This Gables property is outstanding. The concierge is excellent; the maintenance team is excellent; the management is compassionate and caring. The design of each unit is exceptional. Each apartment includes a state-of-the art kitchen, and elegant bathrooms. This property is a tranquil place in the middle of a big city. The community is very polite and kind. Our neighbors are very respectful. The dogs in the building are super cute too!

Great Neighborhood. Quiet location yet it is a walking distance to Whole Foods, several retail locations and restaurants nearby. The apartments are built like forts, you cant hear anything from neighbors. The building is a solid built -- concrete between floors, sound proofing between apartments. The property is well kept and always clean. The staff is professional, friendly, and very helpful. The gym on site is beautiful. The pool area is great -- only wish the pool was a tiny bit deeper. Game room, private dining room, private movie theater all available on property and can be rented out. Free coffee and drinks to residents and guests. Plenty of gated garage parking as well as reserved spaces for those who need their own spot. Very highly recommended property and less than three years old.

At first I did not think I would be able to move there because the apartment I wanted was on hold. I received a call the next day from Carey letting me know the apartment was available. I applied, was approved and secured my move in date. I am excited to live at this property after living in the burbs.

If I could give 10 starts i would. I came to this property about 45 minutes before they were about to close asking tons of questions about different floor plans and Benjamin was so nice and willing to help me. He took us on a tour, showed us different floor plans and kept a smile on his face. He made us feel at home and we were just on a tour. He was patient and answered all of our questions and on top of that he knew what he was talking about. He wasn’t pushy, he simply gave us the information and showed us what the Gables @ River Oaks are about. If you ever want to tour these apartments ask for Benjamin, he’s the best ‼️

Gables River Oaks is a great place to live. I have lived here 2 years now. It is the quietest place I have lived and have been renting for awhile now. I feel very safe and secure. The appliances and apartments are very high end! I would highly recommend this place!

Just helped my gf move into her new place. I was pleasantly surprised by the apartment complex. The amenities are nice for an older complex. Ben was very friendly and a great help with our move in process. When we were deciding on apartments gave us a virtual tour and answered all the questions we had. On our move in day he showed us the whole building snd has been very responsive through email and phone. So far every everything has been great here, hopefully it continues!

Unreal staff!! Carey Sackett did an amazing job at making the move an enjoyable and very smooth transition. The location is awesome, the property is impeccable, good taste in decoration, the community is small, and the apartments finishes are very clean and high quality! I do not see why anyone would not choose this Gables Community - really. It wont disappoint. Absolute best bank for your buck!

(Resident for over a year) Really going to miss living at Gables River Oaks. Ben, Merissa (Jessica before her), Tatiana and Lynette (constantly goes above an beyond with day to day concierge services) are such a great team of people. Very positive and willing to help with any issues or just simply any questions I’ve had while calling this place home. Only moving due to losing my job during Covid and having an opportunity out of state otherwise I would stay. The virus posed constant challenges to all but Gables River Oaks team has remained accessible and helpful to date. I’m sure many residents gave them difficulties with amenities closing but I believe the staff and company did everything they could to constantly adapt and maintain our living spaces regardless of the challenges thrown at them. Btw very quiet building and residents are super respectful. Thank you all.

Living at Gables has been great! I have lived in 4 apartments across Houston and this has been my best experience by far. The apartments are listed at great prices for the space you get, the staff has been so nice. I would recommend anyone live at this place.

Great low crime area, walking distance from great eating and shopping, beautiful apartments and ammenities, but most of all the staff and maintaunence crew are 2nd to none! We have been here through 2 leases of 15 and 18 months, and are going to renew again. We started here paying almost $3500/month and now pay just under $3200/mo...so we are paying well over what 99% of the building pays so we will be moving to another unit to save 1000$ or so in this depressed market, but we cant risk losing this great maintaunence crew and staff. The front office often changes personnel and I wish they could keep them, but if I ever have an issue its fixed quickly! 5 stars and Im afraid to leave Lol!
