I do have to give the front office props for their professionalism and assistance through and through. This place is in a good location but surrounded by a decent amount of noise, depending on where you are. Your bedroom could be devoid of sunlight if you’re facing the garage. I’d keep note of this when finding a unit you like. It’s decently no frills (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). We mostly enjoyed our time here. Other tenants were pretty nice. Amenities were just OK. The Luxer room frequently doesn’t provide codes, meaning you have to bug the office.Also, our unit was dirty. Like, really dirty on move in. We did our diligence to help, but wow. It took quite a bit to clean up that mess.I did really enjoy the easy access to the Katy Trail. West Village as well. It’s one of a kind, riding the trolley up McKinney and seeing the litany of amazing places. Certainly makes up for some of the flaws in that regard. Just pick a location and make sure you view it beforehand.

These five stars are entirely dedicated to the maintenance team here at Riviera. David is always prompt and straightforward when working with him and his team members are respectful and understanding of frustrations that can come with maintenance issues.David has gone above and beyond for my roommate and I. Between him, Juan, and the rest of the maintenance team and outside contractors brought in to help us, we could not be more happier with our living space.

Best price for size and location for any apartment in West Village. My 1 bedroom was very roomy with little to no issues. Right next to the Katy trail and parking here is safe, easy and convenient!I’d recommend this complex to both young adults and families as it suits everyone.

Great experience, easy and safe parking, parking is great. Office and maintenance staff are great. The apartments themselves are well finished, maintained very well, absolutely no complaints. Would recommend to a friend. Management is constantly working to improve the complex. Great West Village / Uptown location. Very safe, walk friendly. Includes dog park, mature trees, all covered parking, pool, grills, updated apartments, thank you !

So thankful to Riviera for handling my move in experience with such care and attention. Bobby especially was extremely nice and understanding with all my questions regarding my application and tour. Truly the best leasing agent at any place I toured in the area! I cant wait to move in and I feel such ease knowing the team at Riviera really cares for their residents!

Bobby in the leasing office is great. Incredibly kind, warm, thoughtful and just on top of it. I’m not a resident (yet), but there are a few things making this complex quite appealing. 1) the leasing office seems to be very responsive (Bobby interacted with their residents very warmly and seemed to have a good relationship with them). 2) The apartments aren’t the nicest I’ve seen, but they’re spacious, have thoughtful layouts, and are well-priced (more so than many nicer looking apartments I’ve toured). 3) the leasing office seems to really care about their residents’ living experience - they take polls to understand what their residents want, and then actually follow through on a response. 4) it’s very conveniently located, and you get the best of both worlds - being in uptown, right along the M-line and very close to the Katy Trail, while also being tucked away and protected from a bit of the noise that uptown gets. 5) this one is very underrated… there’s dedicated guest parking on every floor of the parking garage for easy access to your apartment. Overall, from the outside looking in, it seems like a wonderful place to live. Biggest downsides are that the walls. cabinets, ceilings, and bathrooms aren’t the prettiest, and the outside of the building is not attractive, but if you can live with that, it’s a great little place.

I really enjoyed my time at the Riviera. The building is conveniently located to all you could need, the grounds were well kept, and my unit was bright and spacious. The Riviera team was always pleasantly helpful and effective. I would totally recommend!

I’ve been at Riviera for 2 years now, I’ve been here through freezes, storms, and I can confidently say that this place has gone uphill, especially since management switches to the current regime with Jaleesa as property manager.This is an older apartment complex and you feel that sometimes when plumbing issue arise, but it’s managed very professionally, but more importantly, it’s handled at a very personal level - management really cares and goes out of their way to ensure that the tenants are happy.When storms hit the power lines or a freeze forced the water to shut off, they had to water and food in the office.I’m moving out this week because of personal changes, and I’ll miss this place. I can only hope my new complex has management as kind and helpful as Jaleesa, and that my new home is as comfortable as Riviera.

I’ve never left an apartment review before but as we are moving, felt it may be helpful to others! We lived here for 3 years and loved it. We had the large two bedroom with a massive patio. The rent for the unit size and location is unbeatable. Staff is responsive and very friendly. Maintenance issues are attended to within 1 day typically - I have never had any issues with the office or maintenance staff. The main issues are water repairs in the complex and they frequently shut off water for a couple hours, but they communicate really well with you and it’s a brief inconvenience. Parking is never an issue for us or guests. Garage parking is very secure. We’ve never had security issues in our 3 years here. You’re on the Katy trail or in west village within a minute!

Ive been living here for a year and really enjoyed my stay! Ill be extending my lease into 2019/2020. The staff are very helpful and responsive, and the maintenance team is great at being prompt with any repairs necessary to my apartment. Amy is wonderful and always happy to help--I love stopping by the office just to chat with her. Looking forward to another year!

Weve lived here for six months and its been a great place to call home. The staff are so friendly and helpful, any maintenance issue gets resolved very quickly, the common areas are great.. grills, pool, hammocks, seating areas, and the location is to die for. Parking is right outside your door no matter which floor you live on, and its a nice, modern, and well maintained building. Our apartment is so spacious and we have a huge balcony...were so happy with our apartment. Weve never had any noise or neighbor problems, and it feels really safe and secure here. I’ve lived here for over a year and just renewed. The location is unbeatable and the rent prices are really great for everything you get. The staff is also amazing and really makes living here so much easier. The community manager Travis Massey is especially great and really understanding. I had a problem with a roommate backing out of the lease and he made what was an incredibly stressful experience so much better. He helped me resolve my issue and worked with me to get everything fixed. They really do care about their residents and Ive never had a bad experience with the front office. Maintenance requests will get taken care of the next day. I love living here and highly recommend this complex.

Ive been here for a hot minute and Im still as in love with the space and community as I was when I decided to move here. The main office people are super nice (shoutout to Sarah and Christina) and they are truly there to help. I feel supported, safe, and at ease living here. The area is full of activities ranging from shopping to running on the Katy Trail. That being said, this complex offers a ton of outside seating perfect to hang with friends, read outside, appreciate nature, whatever floats your boat really. Great place to move in if you like the city!

I stayed here for 5 years. Through the pandemic, lockdown, and the crazy ice storm and my experience was AMAZING! Everytime I expressed an issue with the leasing office they ALWAYS got back to me as soon as possible. The maintenance team?!? AMAZING across the board ! I would literally put in a work order and they would come same day or next day CONSISTENTLY. My neighbors were so nice. I do wish we had more community events but I think it was just due to covid restrictions. The ONLY reason I’m leaving is because my family has expanded and I now need a third bedroom. I’m so sad to leave honestly. Parking was always a breeze. During the ice storm they were ON IT. I had a teeny water spot on the wall and they renewed the whole piping on that wall! I’m definitely recommending people to this property because I had no issues. I honestly can’t complain about a single thing. Thank you Riviera at West Village for being so welcoming and professional at all times.

Amy at the front desk was such a pleasure to work with. When one floor plan was not available, she was quick to help my roommate and I find another apartment available around the date we were looking for. I am very excited to live here and thankful for the excellent management.Update: 11/29 Despite my keys being stolen on Thanksgiving Day, apartment manager: Travis became quickly available to help me get into my apartment and get my keys remade! So thankful for him.

I love living at the West Village Riviera. The location is great and the apartments themselves are rather up to date with appliances, counters and flooring. Great size for the price. The front leasing manager Travis is very nice, attentive and knowledgeable. He likes to get things done and will follow up with you to let you know when it will be done!

Long story short, I ended up needing to cancel my lease here. The management (Bobby in particular) was so patient, helpful, and honest as we worked out the details. I am sad it didn’t work out but grateful that the management here is so much better than I’m used to at other apartment complexes!

Our community manager, Travis Massey, is the most efficient, effective, and considerate manager I have ever worked with. I consider him critical to my decision to want to stay and indeed, extend my lease as long as possible. Thank you, Travis, for making this such a wonderful and warm community to live in! Great property! Sarah and Christina are top notch at helping during the move-in process. They could not have made it easier for me. I would definitely recommend Riviera West Village to others who are looking for an easily accessible smaller community in Uptown that is not only convenient by location but also has much better floorplans than any of the other nearby communities.

I have lived in many places around west village, and I can truly say Ive never had a better apartment than the Riviera. As of a few weeks ago they just changed management and made huge improvements, but even before that they have always been efficient, kind, and helpful. Maintainence staff is very quick and kind when theres any issue in the unit- Ive always had someone fix an issue same day. As for the complex- I never really have problems with noise from neighbors (think the walls are insulated well). Always have hot water, working AC, and no issues with pests or rodents. Also, they are very dog friendly, with a bathroom space and lots of geeen/grassy areas on the first floor. Id highly reccomended a first floor unit if leasing, just to save yourself a walk or elevator trip. Thanks riviera staff-- Ive enjoyed my stay here!

I have lived at the Rivera for six years. I am in my second apartment here and needless to say I highly recommend the Rivera. It is close to everything had i enjoy the trees and the views. The maintenance staff is quick to respond and always friendly. The managers Caroline and JoAnn are the best managers we have had! They are constantly looking looking for ways to make things better and are always responsive. David M.
