    1/13/24 Just moved in and so far I’m loving it here. The rental prices are low right now, paying $1200 for a spacious 2 bedroom, with a fireplace and washer dryer included. Lots of trees and shade, little paths to walk your dog, and pools everywhere.Office staff have been incredibly helpful and kind, making a short notice move in efficient and easy. Maintenance has been quick to solve major issues.It’s close to HEB, target, nice parks, and right by 410 so it’s easy to get anywhere.Also has google fiber so if you game it’s amazing. 100% would recommend and will update if anything changes.

    I called Fountainhead and was inquiring about an apartment and needed more details about the property and the unit. A gentleman but the name of Antonio answered and he could not have been more pleasant. I was impressed with Antonio. He was very professional, thorough and informative. If you are looking for a place to live Fountainhead has a very good staff that cares. I highly recommend the property.

    Fountainhead Apartments are the right place for you. It may have a few quirks. But neighbors and residents are definitely the people you are most comfortable around. All very loving each encounter my family and I have had the pleasure of meeting over the past 6 years. To the people working the property you all are doing an amazing job. Smile every once in a while. Your residents you have selected to reside here are truly amazing.

    Awesome staff Beautiful so peaceful for me and my mom she loves to go outside now and sit on the porch. She would go out and straight to the car because she just did not like who they where moving in we had 8 men living in a 2BR and they were always walking around outside of our apts. here she feels safe and at home the trees and view is so peaceful they really maintain these apts. well. There was absolutely nothing I had to do when we moved in unlike Limestone Oaks They really take great care of the complex here we are blessed to have such a nice area a wonderful APT. Take my word for it the people here are wonderful even my neighbors are awesome!

    Roaches upon move in at first but have been gone since after the 1st week of move in. Only been here a month now. I used a variety of methods to prevent and kill them but if you just keep no trash and no dirty dishes, don’t put food down disposal you will be fine. Everything has been working beautifully in the apartment. I love how clean everything was when I first moved in especially the shower, no mold. Neighbors are friendly. I feel safe in this complex but I will add that you need to take your own precautionary measures to avoid vehicle break ins and home invasions.There was a home invasion just last night, a break in through the window. The only other time this happened here that was reported was in 2018. After the fact, police were in place for surveillance and security and they were again last night. People are just getting bold, crazy and desperate especially when everything is so expensive these days. It’s happening everywhere you go. I just hate that they take it out on fellow people just trying to survive. Please be safe.

    I read reviews - be it for hotels, restaurants, or parks - before I go somewhere, so you bet I read the reviews for this place before deciding to move here. I’ve been living here for 9 months so far, and I think it’s time for me to share my thoughts.I live in a single-room studio apt. As far as my apartment goes, I feel like it was in decent condition when I got it and that the price of rent fits the size and quality, especially when you consider the complex amenities, such as the pools. I have never had a problem with the functioning of the appliances. I’ve never had an insect problem. My energy bill has fluctuated from $30-65 (with the seasons). It has a few defects- e.g., a design flaw prevents me from using my kitchen drawer. It’s certainly not luxurious, but then again I’m not here to pay for luxury, and for what it is, I think the apartment meets my needs just fine. A big plus is that the apartments come with a washer and dryer come installed in the units.It’s a big complex, with lots of apartment buildings on the property. Thus it is very possible that some apartments/buildings are not in as good of condition as mine is. Perhaps some are in better condition. I can only speak to my own apartment.My experience with office staff has been overall positive. Overall they are nice and try to be as helpful as they can. Prospective tenants should be aware that you must give 60 days notice if you want to move out (under either a fixed-term tenancy or a holdover periodic tenancy). I pay my rent on time every month and have had zero problems in that regard.Amenities - there’s five pools, three of which have hot tubs. This quantity ensures that if a couple happen to be closed for maintenance, at least one will be in clean working order. There is also an exercise center with some weight and cardio machines.Any maintenance requests have been timely handled.Location - lots of restaurants in the medical center area. Lots of diversity. Easy access to services. Easy access to I-10 and I-410. I work downtown and it takes me around 20 minutes to get there in 8am traffic. Really not bad at all.Tips for management: Consider investing in some updates to the fitness center. Consider having groundskeeping regularly clean all pools/hot tubs to ensure they are usable.A final but super important note: the selling point for me was the fact that I got to see the apartment before agreeing to rent it. That way, I knew EXACTLY what I would be paying for. Some apartment complexes nowadays will not let you actually see the apartment up for rent; rather, they will show you a dressed-up model apartment that they show to all prospective tenants. Fountainhead did not do that with me - a practice for which I commend them. Honestly, had I not been shown the apartment before agreeing to rent it, I likely would have ended up living somewhere else.I hope this review is useful.

    Ive lived here the past 3 years and everything has been great in all aspects.Office staff- very friendly, helpful and communicate well.Maintenance- maintenance staff respond and correct all issues in a timely manner. They do the job efficiently and correctly.Curb appeal and grounds- the outside of the apartments are always well kept. Never having to deal with trash at the dumpster being overflown. Grass is kept cut and green. Neighbors do well at picking up after their pets.Community/ Neighbors- everyone that I have met that has lived here has all been friendly, helpful and welcoming.Safety- I do feel safe living here though. I am comfortable with walking my dog at anytime of day or night. Gates to the complex are always in working order and if they have a fluke. The issue is solved in less than 24 hours. I have not heard, witnessed or experienced any issues with vehicle break ins or vandalism. So all in all I dont think twice about staying or leaving a 5 star review.

    Place is nice and peaceful for the most part, Ive really enjoyed living here so far. The office staff and maintenance workers are friendly and efficient, theyve responded right away to my requests. I did have some bug issues when I moved in, but they were resolved immediately. No issues since then, and that was in August 2022. Im not really sure what everyone else is talking about with the whole management is terrible narrative because thats not the case at all, or at least that hasnt been my experience. The only thing that is a concern is that anyone can get in despite the complex being a gated community. For example, people that dont reside at Fountainhead use the pool, or pools, throughout all hours of the night and it is extremely annoying and disruptive, especially because Im sure that a bunch of us living here get up early in the morning for work during the week. Its really a security issue, and that could definitely improve if they just hired a security guard company to patrol the complex at night for at least a couple of hours.

    Just renewed my lease. I enjoy living here. Have had no major issues. Customer service is key for me. Maintenance is always on top of it and everyone at the leasing office is professional and helpful.

    I leased from Fountainhead from March 2018 to April 2021. Danielle and Lesly were the best during my move-in. The maintenance staff always serviced my request. When the Air Conditioner broke down, they installed a window unit and when the new part arrived, I left for work and when I came back the new AC was installed. The water bill kept on going up, also my car was stolen 2018, my truck was vandalized 3 times and not once did the Manager or Assistant Manager contacted me. While I am aware that it’s out of their control not even a curtesy call. The dumpster by my unit was always overflowing with trash. Lastly, I was still charged a cleaning fee after cleaning the apartment and were you not going to send housekeeping to clean it for the new tenant anyways? Leasing staff can smile more and behave as if they want to be there.

    So far all my expectations are getting ticked. I got all the appliances. This is close to two schools as well which is again a plus point. Any near by grocery store would have been cherry on the cake. Very close to medical drive as well. Few items missing.1. Children play area2. Lot of dogs left over are present. People dont clean it seems.

    I lived at fountainhead for 4 years. I loved living there. The ladies in the office were always awesome. The maintenance crew was so amazing and so nice. The maintenance was always quick to response. I loved my apartment so much. The pools were always open and the hot tubs were so delightful. The closets were big. There’s plenty of storage. The patio was great. The parking was great. The gym was good. The trees and landscape was amazing. I absolutely loved living there. I moved out a few months ago and it was my favorite place to live so far. It’s close to everything. And I just loved it. Thank you for making my stay there amazing. I wish the maintenance and office ladies all the best. Thank you thank you thank you!

    So far, so good. The complex is really pretty with all the trees and pathways. Everyone in the leasing office is really helpful and nice, especially Michelle, who worked with us as we moved in. Parking is great, we never have a shortage of spots. The only things I don’t like are the slightly dated and beaten up cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms, and the fact that only one phone number can be programmed into the gate-opening system. Everything else is fine, though.

    I lived at Fountainhead for about 2 years, recently moved out of the city. It is a great first apartment community. I took off 1 star because it is a bit older as were most of the appliances, but they all worked well. I have had great experience with the front office...minus the lady who I guess is the manager, the times I interacted with her she came off as rude. Danielle, Cynthia, and Nicole have always been polite. Maintenance has a had a great turn around for non-emergency requests. This is usually done within 24-48 hours (in my experience). The 1 thing I didnt like is there was a resident who at any given time will have 3-5 cars in the parking lot which is disrespectful to those who live there. There are not that many family members in the complex and I suggest requiring residents to register their car and maybe putting a limit to a certain amount of cars per person in the unit. It made parking difficult for many people especially those who I saw moving in and moving out. Overall I was please with the company, didnt have any problems with bugs. I only used the fitness center once so not enough to have a formal opinion about it. Conveniently located right by I-10. Most importantly, the community is quiet. Ive never had issues with noisy neighbors. In one instance the lady moved out. Otherwise everyone is courteous and respects your privacy. No rowdy college kids or party people either.

    The staff and management of Fountainhead aim to please. I have an excellent experience with this complex and have lived here for more than 3 years.I read through many of the reviews over the past few years and theres some merit to some of the reviews, particularly the good ones. This complex is old and the buildings were built between 1984 and 1986 so that makes the complex 36-38 years old. Anyone expecting everything to be perfect and brand new isnt experienced in apartment living. This place has aches and pains, just like ALL apartments do.Ive lived in apartments more in my adult life than in homes. Ive lived in high luxury/high dollar and in section 8 low income. This place is my most favorite apartment complex, ever.My experience here reveals the following:1. Management is excellent and responsive. They care and they handle business. Danielle and Nancy are the best management Ive had of any apartment in my life.2. The staff here are quick to respond, kind and get things done. Ive never been left hanging and have never been done wrong. Theyre easy to reach and available to help.3. The maintenance staff are friendly as all can be. Theyre not shady acting or looking like many other apartments and they get things fixed quickly and do it right the first time.4. You get a lot of bang for your buck. I chose this complex based on the pricing and the location. As a single dad who earns a decent living but pays a ton in child support, this complex fit my budget well AND includes a washer and dryer so that I dont have to rent that and spend more money. You get what you pay for here. This is not a low value complex and its not a high dollar complex either. It is in the middle and the rent and amenities reflect this.5. Highway access is right down the street off of IH10 and Medical. This is on the edge of the Medical Center and shopping and restaurants are close.6. No bugs. My apartment has no roach problem and never has. They exterminate regularly.7. The grounds are kept clean and groomed. Another shout out to the maintenance staff as I see them walking the premises picking up trash and cleaning up dog waste. The lawn service company is out regularly and keeps everything trimmed and neat.8. Trash dumpsters are serviced a few times a week and we are rarely overflowing.9. Low to no crime. Every apartment complex and neighborhood has crime to include car breakins. Its impossible to eliminate it all so its around but this complex has less and very few issues compared to any other complex Ive lived in.10. The pools are well maintained during pool season and we have 5. Its a great way to spend your summer days.11. The neighbors are cool. Ive met many of them and everyone Ive met is nice. Many people walk their animals, are out with their kids and this is a great environment for all.12. All kinds of people live here from singles to families. Its a good mix of people.13. Soundproofing is pretty good. I dont hear my neighbors often, but when I do its minimal and expected noise for an apartment complex.14. This is a serene environment. Since Covid lockdowns I ended up working from home most of the time and have stayed that way since. This place is relatively quiet, there are birds and squirrels and trees throughout. I love working with my patio door open and taking advantage of the great environment.Every apartment complex Ive lived in, including brand new complexes, have had gates that break down; bugs at some point in time; crime; loud neighbors; water issues; appliance problems and such. No apartment complex is immune from these things. This comes with the territory not only in apartment complexes but also in housing communities. So anyone expecting anything less has unrealistic expectations. Expect issues no matter where you live. The Fountainhead difference is that the staff and management work hard to keep residents satisfied.This is a solid place to live.

    Ive been here for a few months now, and havent had any issues. Clean apartments, great location. Having 3 hot tubs available, 5 pools, makes me feel like Im on vacation when Im home. The people at the front office have always provided me with great service. You can tell that they care about their tenants. Also, the neighbors Ive met seem nice.

    Our apartment unit is overall good. The big balcony is nice and has a pretty good size storage unit. The inside of our apartment is okay and DEFINITELY needs an upgrade. Our cabinets from the restroom and kitchen are old and warped from the bottom so we really cant store anything properly in them without having things falling over. The closet in the bedroom is big and spacey. Our apartment comes with washer and dryer which are a little bit too small but definitely beats going to a laundromat. There are no light fixtures in the living room so you need to bring in a bright lamp because it gets pretty dark without one. Our kitchen sink and restroom sink faucets are SMALL and DEFINITELY look outdated.I think the parking lot can benefit from having a few exit signs around to direct visitors who are not familiar with the complex how to get out.The swimming pools are my favorite thing about this apartment complex, there are 5 pools. The nicest pool is of course behind the office, at night there are usually a lot of people partying and drinking and let their kids do whatever they want. There are other pools that dont have lighting at night and there tends to be a lot of roaches, but I guess thats to be expected with all the trees and greenery around the complex. Would be cool to at least have some light so if a roach came flying at me I could kill it lol.Lately there have been undercover cops at night and it makes me nervous because Im not sure who they are looking for but Im definitely scared they will start shooting and accidently hit our apartment or vehicle.The girls working in the front office are okay and they definitely seem to have their good days and their bad days. Brandy has always been helpful and patient. I really dont have anything negative to say about them.

    Ive been here two years and just signed my lease for a third. They are very inexpensive and in a great location. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is awesome. Having a washer/dryer unit in my apartment is wonderful. Close to everything, especially the med center. I read some of the other reviews and they seem to complain about one or two isolated incidents. Overall, the FountainHead is great!

    I lived at Fountainhead Apartments from 2014-2016, so for two years. However, it just occurred to me that I never reviewed this complex. While living here, I enjoyed it. The landscape was clean, cost of rent was really affordable, and I always felt safe. My sister and I never felt uneasy or like our lives were in danger. The neighbors were also very friendly and we were able to recognize everyone who was living near us.Though I wanted to give this complex a solid five stars, I took off one star because the leasing office was a bit rude at times. Another struggle was having to pay the rent in-person/ with a money order. That was such a pain since we both worked until late in the evening and would have to rush home to pay rent. Those were the only downfalls.

    I love these apartments. Like ANY other apartment complex, there are some issues, but they get taken care of right away. I had ants at one point and when I called, they sent someone right away. My AC wasnt cooling at one point, and they fixed it immediately. Little things that I had issues with, they took care of right away. The thin walls are everywhere...actually, there are some nice apartments off Bandera where the walls are even THINNER! All in all, the place is quiet and nice. The appliances are old, but they work...you see it in the beginning, so if you dont like it, dont move in...personally, I dont care. If they work, perfect for me! They take care of any issues in a timely manner. They dont bother me at all. I wish there were a way to pay online or a night box...but they are open until 6, so that gives me time to pay after work. They are open on the weekends too, so that is convenient.

    I personally very much enjoyed my 4 years at Fountainhead. Management was always very nice and maintenance usually was very timely whenever I had any issues. My floor plan was more than enough space, and when I first moved in, it was in pretty solid condition. It was also enough space for my cat, who coincidentally loved one particular maintenance man. The appliances were 1970s realness, but they worked, so I cant complain too much. Essentially, if you expect state of the art fridges and washers, you may or may not get them. Parking was never an issue, minus the person who parked a freakin boat for the longest time. Finally, crime was never really an issue in my part of the complex. The only issue I ever had with crime was when someone threw a rock through my car window, but then I never heard a peep again. Even my neighbors were pretty great (unless one of them threw the rock, then I redact my previous statement)!There were a few issues here and there (the gate not working on occasion, mud whenever it rained), but Im normally a pretty easy going person so they didnt bother me too much. That being said, I only had 3 really big issues in my 4 years. My water heater had a period of time when it just kept going out and Id be surprised with a cascade of ice cold water in the mornings. I had been informed to let management know so a replacement could be made, but nothing ever came to fruition. Luckily, the last maintenance man who worked on it fixed it, and I never had an issue again! Next, during one particularly rainy night in San Antonio, my ceiling near the fireplace sprung a leak. I was terrified that it was going to burst at some point, but thankfully it never did. It took a while to fix, but they were nice enough to get started on it the week after it occurred. Finally, BUGS. My building was regaled with these horrible rocks on the side of my apartment and it was centipede city in the summer after that. There was literally no getting rid of them. I also had problems with crazy ants and june bugs too, but those were more easily taken care of.TL;DR Fountainhead was inexpensive, but I felt like I got more than what I paid for. Everyone was really nice, my apartment was great, and parking didnt completely suck. Sure, there were a few issues here and there, but what apartment doesnt have them? I lived there for 4 years, and I will always have fond memories.

    After a year here at fountainhead I can genuinely say I love these apartments. They feel like home. We were given a great apartment right next to the pool, got a new fridge and washer and dryer. I am sad we had to move but I want to thank fountainhead for everything. Im giving a shout out to Ray, Michelle and, Kendra. We are not the easiest residents to deal with but they were all patient and always helped us no matter what. Thank yall again I hope I can move back one day.

    Been here almost 5yrs...now Im buying a house but Im gonna miss the place like a child misses her blanket. A trusting maintenance crew always there in a timely manner. I love the property and its amenities and staffs great. They keep up on everything. Location is primeQuiet...and the gates are fixed again so all is good

    Now that I have lived here a bit longer I say this is a nice place to live. I have been here 8 months and havent had any major issues. The office staff is very nice and friendly. While they dont have a way to pay online or some other modern conveniences they have adjusted the office hours to be more convenient for us. The place is quiet and kept very clean. I havent even seen a roach in my apartment. I would highly recommend checking this place out as a place to live

    Soo okie where to start....oki....This is our 3rd tike moveing so far and we had came from apartments then a duplex and now back at apartments and so far these are great more room more space for everything and i just couldnt ask for a better living opportunity the fact it has a washer and dryer bulilt in and everything it just awesome and yes read the other comments but im telling you these are great yes there a lil roach problem but honestly if u just keep up with the trash and dishes you will not have a problem but maby see like a lil one here and there but other THEN that its good especially when you need something fix maintenance usually comes literally probably an hour later after putting a work order or the next day there fastLook tbh just come try it go on a tour and tell me that this place aint worth it cuz me just moving in i never tbh felt safe or nervous about walkijg around at night cuz its good place honestly just come check it out for yourself.

    About FountainHeadReally love living here, I have been a resident for the past 2 years, about to re-lease for a 3rd. The complex is clean and well maintained. Even though it is an older complex it does feel very well taken care of and safe. I love the fact that their are multiple pools, this keeps them from getting too crowded on hot summer days. My only complaint is the gym. Over the past couple of years that I have lived here there seems to be less and less equipment in the gym. I understand that stuff breaks down over time, nothing lasts forever but replacement equipment would be great. It makes it really uncomfortable when you are trying to work out and people have to wait for you to finish or you end up having to leave all together because all the equipment is being used.

    Great experience living at fountainhead, very good community ,Great Office Staffs ,very good maintenance workers and speedy responses. Over all satisfactory living. Only suggestion is Please ensure the security. Gates are always open. No security monitors, Pool is crowded with out sider all the time with loud noise. Make easy access to Emergency contact afterhours for the 5 star. but over all its a very good community.

    Building maintenance is amazing and always timely. The esthetics of the apartment complex is beautiful with trees that bloom and provide shade on walkways. The bathtub hardware needs to be replaced. Overall, I love my apartment.

I found them because a friend recommended them, and Im so glad they did! The staff is kind, patient, and accommodating. They are organized and well informed. Whenever there is an issue, it is fixed within 2 days, and they are very apologetic and always find ways to make up for issues. I adore this complex, and I highly recommend it to any singles, couples, and families.

    Moved in March 2022 and this place overall has been great. Nice and friendly professional management and very prompt attention to maintenance issues. Had a few issues of unfinished paint in a couple of rooms not yet resolved though but overall very content.

    Our community feels safe compared to our old apartment complex. Danielle has always been so helpful and always finds a solution to our problem. Arturo from maintance is so friendly and helpful. Thankful for him to always help our family out with a smile. Mario from maintance came in recently to fix 2 work orders and when I came back he surprised me by replacing the ac filter without me mentioning it to him. Special thanks to these 3 people for always being so helpful and respectful!

    I LOVE everything about this place. Super easy to move in. The office was extremely friendly and helpful. It is quiet and the 5 pools are a plus! I wouldnt live anywhere else, the price is super affordable, and the maintenance gets any minor issue ive had done in a timely manner, faster than other places ive lived at before. Like i said I love this place and plan to stay here long term! :)

    I lived here from June 2015 to April 2017- a great almost two years, honestly. There are a few things that can be worked on, but in reality its not perfect ANYWHERE. Great location with immediate access to i10, in the middle of two convenience stores/gas stations and theres an H-E-B just down the street. Surrounded by good restaurants, too! (210 Ceviche and Taqueria Datapoint is where its at, yall.) Office staff changed once during my two leases, but my girls Danielle and Nicole were absolutely WONDERFUL! Michelle came on board recently and was a great help to me as well. Paige and Nancy in management, are both sweet and understanding. Basically, pay on time and be prepared to pay a fee if you dont. Referral program is fair and accurate. Bill the maintenance man is AWESOME and is the most helpful person I met at Fountainhead. Gates work sometimes, and sometimes they dont. Bolt your doors and lock your cars, but that should be common sense ANYWAY. Rent does go up every time you renew your lease, which is an idea in general that I dont understand (the apartment is getting older, not newer) and the appliances need a serious upgrade. Old appliances and faulty dryer machines only make electricty more expensive. My neighbors were great and I never had a single confrontation. NOT ALL DOG OWNERS PICK UP AFTER THEIR DOGS- biggest pet peeve while living there.... only to find out that people at my new place do the same thing lol. All in all, it was a great experience and I am thankful to have had my very first home at Fountainhead.

    So far so good .. only complaint is the water quality and lot of roaches. Also the connection between dishwasher and sink is horrible.. water from the sink flows to dishwasher very often and have to forcefully use dishwasher every other day though I dont have vessels to wash.

    I am so surprised with just how quiet and peaceful it is here. Everyone has been friendly and there are dogs everywhere! The staff have always been incredibly friendly and helpful with anything I added. Ive enjoyed living here. Especially with the simply fact that they have trees here. Actual foliage.

    I think you guys are doing a great job. The staff is always courteous and very professional. Nicole and the tall slender maintenance man (he has gray hair and is very soft spoken) are two of my favorite people. I do not have any complaints at this time.

    Such a great little community to live in! Its quiet, and has beautiful landscaping. Also the ladies in the office are so helpful and sweet. I love living here.The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it takes an eternity for maintenance requests.

    Grew up a army brat lived in apartments my entire life. 1st aprtment where the ac actually works. In the entire year here only like once the ac was like at like 80 but that cause it was like 105 outside.maintnenece very fast response. Never seen a roach and everything works fine. Reason I renewed.
