Ive lived here for a year and am only leaving because of a new job that has me relocating to another city.Location: 8/10 - Nice location with walkable shops, cafes, and markets nearby. Have been on multiple walks/runs and have never had any issues. Theres occasionally a few people that give off weird vibes nearby; however, the building is off of North Lamar so its not a big surprise.Amenities: 6/10 - Gym is okay. Has the necessities; however, theres been a couple of times where equipment is either broken or it has been taken and not returned. Coffee machine is nice and seems to work 9/10 times. Pool and grill area is nice, its a bit small but gets the job done.People: 9/10 - Office workers are nice. They try to be transparent and communicate as good as they can. Theres been a couple times where weve been overcharged, but an email was sent out and the issue was resolved. Maintenance has been great, if we have a problem, theyre usually there day of unless its we put in a request at a late time.Apartments: 9/10 - Nice apartments with nice floors, stainless steel appliances - never had a problem with any of the appliances. Good layouts made to maximize space and some apartments have built in wine bars and/or office spaces. That said, if you are in an apartment that faces North Lamar, consider investing in blackout curtains for both light and sound purposes to mitigate both of those from seeking into your apartment. It can be quite loud, even at night.

I LOVE living at Echo! We have had a great experience so far. The location is perfect and the onsite team is the best. Connor, Tom and Alexie are always so friendly and helpful.

I was coming from a stressful living situation and could not tour apartments in person, so I was researching different apartment complexes and reading a ton of reviews online. My friend lives at Residences at Triangle and recommended I check out Echo apartments. I loved the area and the walkability. Tom answered my initial call and was very friendly and so helpful. It made me feel really good about further looking into this complex. My friend was able to tour some floor plans for me and sent me videos. I was confident in applying and signing my lease sight unseen. Madison has also helped me out a ton throughout the process. When I arrived for move in, the manager Sana (apologies if incorrect spelling!) greeted my mom and I with Welcome home! The apartments are beautiful and modern. The skylounge on the top floor facing downtown is a show stopper. The residents Ive met all seem like good people. The area is safe. The grounds are clean. Parking is easy. It was important for me to love my new home and I really do, I know Ive made a great choice coming to Echo.

Dear Reader, Ive been living in Echo for over 3 years and its definitely the best living experience Ive had in Austin. I could list numerous examples, but the most thoughtful one I think is worth sharing was how the staff gave my dog Frida a get your wag back soon gift bag when she was bitten by a dog when we were walking around the neighborhood. The dog was not from Echo and it did not happen in the Echo property, but they still went the extra mile showing they genuinely care about our pups. Frida recovered completely and we are very grateful for the attentive care!

Ive had mixed experiences here. All in all, this is a solid place to live with room for improvement. To start with the positives, most of the staff here are great. Special shoutout to the front desk staff and the security staff - especially Angelica, who is always friendly and happy to help! The front desk hosts cute events sometimes, giving away things like hot cocoa, cocktails, tacos, gift wrapping supplies (during Christmas) and more. Theres even a dog of the month contest, which is adorable. Angelica specifically even once gave me an entire box of fresh cookies.Other positives: 1) The apartment is very safe. We have on-site security, key fob entry, and a square building design that makes it hard to break in to the building. 2) The triangle is a nice place to live. We have things to do, but it isnt loud and crazy. There are a several nice places in walking distance, including two coffee shops, some restaurants, salons, and more. 3) People who live in this building are generally very friendly and willing to help each other. Ive made several friends here in a short time! 4) We have a small dog park, which many of the dog owners here use.On the bad side, things in the building break on a regular basis. In the short time that Ive been here, the elevators have broken down numerous times and also almost crushed people or their dogs multiple times. Severe water damage in many units, including a unit of someone I know, whose property was destroyed. Even now, a quarter of my floor is sectioned off due to water damage, and some water damage has appeared in my apartment bedroom. Broken fire alarms, especially a few months ago, when the alarms were even going off in the middle of the night and forcing us to evacuate when we should be sleeping. The broken fire alarms led to regular testing, including today during my remote work meeting, causing me to miss a lot of the meeting. This also applies to amenities, such as the coffee machine (frequently broken) or the water fountain in the dog park (have never seen it work). The maintenance staff can seem disinterested in fixing issues like these, which doesnt help. Given our rent being quite high, I wish the building was in better shape.

The assistant manager, Madison was very kind and helpful. She answered all my questions. After leaving my tour, I can honestly say I feel very excited about moving into Echo.

I cant believe the narrow-minded reviews on this website! this property and the maintenance/ leasing staff have done nothing, but been so helpful and caring for myself and the residents here. god forbid theyre doing test around the property because of a fire alarm issue that was caused by natural disaster for our safety. echo has such a prime location with walking distance to the Triangle, minutes from downtown and the domain and many other attractions. updated security system, resident events like farmers markets and free food, quick maintenance repairs, communitive leasing staff are all the reasons why its so amazing. i empathize with the staff and property manager who have to tolerate such disrespect from people who cant recognize a property management and maintenance team who care so much for the building and the people occupying it. i love echo and wish i could stay longer if i did not have to move out state soon.

Now that Ive moved out after living at Echo a year and a half I felt I could give an in depth review for prospect/future residents:Pros:-If you love dogs this apartment is for you, there are so many adorable pups at this complex that youll see around Echo!-The staff is awesome (maintenance staff included) every time I or my roommates had a question or concern regarding the apartment, we would always hear back in a timely manner.-Every maintenance request we had would be responded to and fixed within 48 hours.-the complex is always clean and the hallways feel like Im walking through a hotel-the amenities are good, while I wish the pool and gym were a bit bigger, it did the trick and its usually not packed so it gets the job done!-the finishes inside the units are great. Its hard to find a complex that doesnt have laminate and I feel that they used actual wood floors (Im no expert on flooring but they def. arent cheap floors)-the walls and flooring are thick enough to where you cant usually hear your neighbors.-parcel pick up lockers & a Tide dry clean pick up/drop off are a big plus that you dont usually find at other apartments.-I always felt safe at Echo/ around the complex too, even at night. There is also an actual law enforcement who lives on site and helps in case anything happens.-covered garage parking is a huge plus! there is always plenty of parking too.-the location is great, walking distance to bus stops, restaurants and much more. Youre also super close to downtown, like 10-20 min drive depending on what side of downtown. its great!Cons:-If you have dogs, the dog park isnt that big, but it does the trick for the smaller dogs. Plus theres a bigger green area just next to the dog park that a lot of residents with the bigger dogs use to play fetch with their dogs instead of the actual dog park.-the price, in comparison to other apartments in the area is at least a few hundred dollars more expensive...but then again you are paying for the luxury apartment living so it may be worth it for those of you that care about that-The stairwells leading to the dog park usually smell because the pups cant hold it in sometimes. (however, I will say maintenance staff usually does a great job at spraying/ cleaning them to remove the smell)-the elevators are pretty slow and there is only 2 in the complex so at busy times (like 8am or 5:30pm) it may take you a while to get to your floor. I took this as an opportunity to get some steps in and just take the stairs instead.- we lived in two different units and both units had a leak through the window sills when the rain would get really bad. one of the leaks was so bad that we had to get part of our carpet replaced, but I think the complex is slowly fixing those leaks so shouldnt be an issue in the future.overall, we loved living at Echo and if it wasnt for how expensive it is, we totally wouldve signed again!

I moved in to Echo a couple of weeks ago and I couldnt be any happier.the leasing office staff was extremely helpful throughout the process from before moving in to the time of move in. the staff is very responsive and professional. I also made a couple of maintenance and service calls and they were taken care of the next day with no issues.Amenities are very well maintained and cleaned regularly and receiving mail and packages is very well organized. The location is also close to a lot of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance.Im very happy with the place and would recommend it 100%.

So far so good! Best price for value we found in central Austin. We just wanted to praise the Echo’s maintenance team. Cesar and the others are always super helpful, quick, and responsive. We had bad experiences with other buildings and for sure the quality of the maintenance team here is a big plus and one of the reasons we are happy to live here.

I just moved in in February and I am so happy with my apartment! The staff is friendly and accessible, the apartment interiors are beautiful and amenities are competitive. Its pricey but worth it for the location and state-of-the-art features. Very safe and very quiet for a large apartment complex! Ive never heard footsteps from the apartment above me or music/noises from apartments around me.

I just renewed my lease for the 2nd year. The apartment has wonderful amenities including a gorgeous pool/courtyard, up-to-date fitness center, and numerous floorplans to fit various needs and budgets. Although the price is not cheap, it is great bang for your buck for central Austin in my opinion based on how nice the facility is, especially if you can get one of the move-in specials. The staff has been nothing but attentive and helpful to me, and they seem to really care about the satisfaction of their renters.

  • Review 14 (2021-12-08 - Rating: 5)

Im a recent resident and the leasing process and move-in were both very smooth thanks to the wonderful front desk and maintenance staff. DeVaughn was very accommodating during virtual unit tours and answered all the questions I had. When it was time to move in, both he and Martin were very helpful (theres also a bell cart to help you move in!). Since then, any time I see the front desk staff they check in to make sure things are going alright. I know whenever I may have a problem or question about the building, I can count on their help. Ive also had to make a couple maintenance calls and the team is super responsive and capable. For anyone wondering about the sound in the inner courtyard, so far it has been very reasonable. The pool has mini-fountains in it that act like white noise and block out other noise from surrounding units.

I have lived at Echo for 2 years, and have been VERY happy to call it home. The apartments are beautiful and quiet, and the building is very well kept and clean. The Village Green office staff are so helpful and responsive-they even went out of their way to help me when I was locked out of my apartment! They have definitely made Echo a more welcoming community and I look forward to living here for the foreseeable future!

I moved in exactly a year ago today and I love it here! The entire staff, including the maintenance team are amazing -- special shoutout to the manager, Samah who goes above and beyond. The location is perfect, you can get to any part of Austin in roughly fifteen minutes or less. My unit faces the pool and I often leave the balcony door open to hear the fountain; it is so peaceful.

My husband and I have lived at the Echo for nearly 10 months, and we have very much enjoyed our time here. Prior to moving into the Echo, we lived in 3 apartments complexes and owned 2 homes, and we both agree this has been our favorite living arrangement.Pros: Great location, ample parking, attractive and well maintained amenities (pool, gym, lounge areas, business center), free coffee and hot chocolate, well insulated walls (much quieter than traditional apartments, but your still going to hear your neighbors dog bark), high quality finishes (real wood floors, stainless appliances including convection oven, flat walls, high ceilings), dryer/washer connections (but then we prefer to buy our own washer and dryer), responsive and friendly staff, fun community events.Cons: Lots of dogs (some of you will love that) and the building can sometimes smell like a PetSmart, stairwells can be a little gross, no hot water when we first moved in, which was clearly the result of an electrical issue (there was a bundle of burnt wiring in the the laundry room), and Im still concerned there are some electrical issues (lights flicker and burn out a little too often), utility bill is a little higher than I would expect for such a well insulated, 850 sq-ft unit, energy efficiency doesnt seem to be a priority (lots of incandescent bulbs, but I do prefer the lighting compared to fluorescent...perhaps they could switch over to LED bulbs), nice pool loungers but no cushioning (I mention the cushions because the advertisement outside the office shows the loungers with cushions, and that would make them a lot more comfortable), pool is generally quite, but can be taken over by drunk and/or obnoxious groups each playing their own music, we did have rain leak into our unit and damage some baseboards and carpeting (when they replaced the baseboards, I could see the drywall which appeared to have mold growing on it...I can only trust/hope that they treated the area properly), a lot of paint splatter on the wood floors, which is a shame because they are beautiful floors, metal studs in the wall, which makes it a little more challenging to hang heavy items (e.g. TVs), for our particular unit, road noise is ever-present, but you get use to it, and even with blinds closed and blackout curtains, youre not going to get the room completely dark, and finally I would expect a luxury apartment complex such as this to have a few units to reserve for visiting friends and family.I realize there appear to be more cons than pros, but the pros are significant and most of the cons are just minor annoyances that you come to expect living in an apartment building with other humans. The main reason Im not giving it 5 out of 5 stars is because of the pet smell and condition of the stairwells, though both issues have moderately improved over the past couple of months.
