The staff is always ready to help and work with you if you have any questions or concerns. Every time I put in a maintenance request they are usually pretty quick at resolving the issue and they send follow up emails and do calls to ensure the issue was resolved. I also had an issue with my upstairs neighbor being loud and they resolved it.The gym is also very welcoming I am able to perform all types of workouts because the equipment is useful and versatile. They also have events for residents pretty regularly where you can meet other residents and have a good time.Lived here for almost 3 years and wouldn’t consider moving anywhere else. -

When I first moved in it was a little rough but when the new management came everything flipped! Maintenance was being taken care of more quickly, management is actually wanting a relationship with us, and now it feels like our little community! Totally would recommend!! -

I’m having a great experience living in this apartment. The staffs are incredibly nice and friendly, always willing to help with any questions or concerns. The location is super convenient, especially for students, as it’s close to campus with multiple bus stops nearby, making transportation easy. The services provided are reliable and always handled in a timely manner. Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-managed place to live! -

I’ve been living here with my friends for about 2 years now and haven’t had any bug problems or maintenance issues. We all take part in cleaning our apartment and let maintenance or management know when something comes up that we cannot handle. Responses have always been quick and with great communication. I’ve lived here for about 4 years total myself and even before living with friends things where pretty good here. Not a bad spot if your a student going through college or a graduate trying to start your career and save some money! -

I’ve lived here for almost a year and honestly it’s not that bad, the staff is really friendly and extremely responsive. I do have a few minor issues regarding my stay here but the main one is the cost for what it is, in my opinion rent is way too high and is always steadily increasing. -

Review 13 (2024-03-25 - Rating: 4)
I started staying in UC Denton since Fall 2023. The 1st 4 months were a disaster. There were too many people living in the other rooms and they were not on the lease either. The management did not help me with the situation. They just kept sending out warning emails to the tenants but to no use. I had to transfer my apartment from the next semester and I am pretty much happy with what I have now. I got a decent tour of the apartment and that helped. -

This is my first experience with off-campus student living, and so far it has been a good experience. The staff is nice, theres a lot of events, I feel safe here, and the rent isnt too bad considering todays economy. My main problem is that maintenance is kind of slow and sometimes they dont fix the problem at first. Otherwise, Im enjoying it here. -

Review 34 (2023-08-29 - Rating: 4)
Months ago I made a negative review for UC Denton, but I did want to come back and change it around now that some time has passed and they have made some changes. First and the most important is that Jaida and Chanel are both phenomenal in the front office. They are not over bearing and both of them listen to the residents needs. Keeping both of them around is the smartest move management could make. Second is that maintenance recently changed management and from my experience, requests move faster and are not left half done. Of course it’s still a college apartment so it’s not perfect, but it’ll get the job done while in school. Thank you again Jaida and Chanel!Edit: I had to transfer apartments and moved into an apartment with a messed up dryer and a fridge where the temperature was not working, maintenance had to take care of move out week maintenance but then took care of both of them in 1 day, thank you maintenance team! -
Review 35 (2023-02-28 - Rating: 5)
Living at UC Denton has been great! The office staff is always so helpful and maintenance is quick to get work orders done. Just a couple weeks ago my dishwasher quit so I went to the office and spoke to Michaela she was so nice and helpful. She told me maintenance would work on it soon and it was done the next day. I would recommend UC Denton to anyone in the Denton area!! -

My friend and I loved working with the UC Denton representatives. We looked at so many apartments and not only are the apartments nice, the people are so welcoming and patient with all the questions, can’t say the same for other complexes, but their kindness honestly sold it for us! We can’t wait to room here!! Also Jaida was the one who helped us, so sweet! -

Review 49 (2020-09-11 - Rating: 5)
UC Denton is an affordable place to live and does a great job for the price. It is a stepping stone for many of the residents (mostly college students). I moved in around 07/2018, and recently moved out a few months ago. The maintenance crew is quick and the management team is incredibly accommodating. Anyone moving in should know that this apartment complex is a 2 minute drive from UNT, so expect college-aged parties and activities to be going on. The walls are pretty thin, so youll have to be stern with roommates if noise is an issue for you. The UC Denton team will ask residents to keep it quiet and issue warnings/fines to people who are being overly disruptive, just let them know. Also, UC Denton does not control the trash valet workers. They have had a tough time finding a professional service that actually does the job, so issues with the trash service can usually be directed at whichever company is in charge of it at the time.Anyone moving in should also realize that UC Denton is not in control of its residents, and they can only do so much to maintain a happy living environment for everyone living in the complex. The management crew frequently puts together hangouts, parties, refreshments, etc, and theyre pretty good! They hosted a couple of light-up foam pool parties before COVID took over the world. When I was looking for a place closer to my school, I kept thinking about how Id miss how great the UC Denton team was. They have a lot on their hands with all of the college-aged residents, and I never had to wait longer than a couple days for a maintenance repair. The apartments themselves need some work, but renovations were happening around the time that I moved out.I want to give a shout-out to Jessica (I believe she is the leasing manager). Shes got a level head and really cares about the happiness of the residents, Im really glad shes part of the UC Denton team. -

Review 53 (2017-08-10 - Rating: 4)
Ive heard a ton of bad things about this place but I had a not too shabby experience. Maintenance was fast and friendly. Most of the office staff were very helpful. There was a creep that worked there but I never had to interact with him after discovering he was a creep. The ladies of the office are wonderful and professional. The 2 bedroom is perfect for two people. Ive been to some 4 bedroom apartments at the courtyards though and their kitchens are the same size as my two bedroom kitchen. It seems small for more than 2 people to share. The main thing I disliked was that the utilities bill is two months behind. In fact, I hated that. I think one month is fine like a previous place I stayed at...two is kind of weird to me. A day or two leading up to move-out day, the office was open late which was really nice of them.Overall, Id recommend people looking for a decent 2 bedroom to stay here. Its walking distance from campus and on the North Texan bus route. Theres a gas station within walking distance and UC is close to a shopping center area called Rayzor Ranch too. -
Review 54 (2023-11-10 - Rating: 4)
UC Denton has been a great experience! Ive lived here for a year and the community has been awesome. Aside from rare occurrences of issues that can cause issues with WiFi or water, I have no complaints. -

Our son lived here for two years. Very close to campus. Decent apartments, no problems. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We had a minor issue concerning a charge on move out and Kim handled it very well and professionally. She looked into it and found there was an error and everything was solved in a very short time. I was impressed. Cant ask for more. -

My friends and I were looking to tour an apartment asap and Melissa scheduled us a same day tour. Upon arriving, Melissa was very welcoming and talked us through all the basic information about the unit we were interested in. Not only did she show us the showroom unit and the upgraded version of the unit we were interested in, but she also gave us a tour of the apartment complex and where everything was located. In addition, she showed us the best hangout places. After viewing the complex and the unit, my friends and I decided to fill out the application right after the tour. Melissa walked us through the application process and helped us when we ran into problems. Very sweet and informative lady!! If anyone has any questions or wanting to tour the apartment complex, I definitely recommend talking to Melissa and having her as your tour guide! -
Review 60 (2017-08-11 - Rating: 4)
Im going on my second year here. Looking at these reviews scared me at first, but after living here I couldnt imagine living anywhere else.I live in a pricey single, I keep my apartment clean, so pest arent a problem. The maintenance guys are quick and efficient. The location is phenomenal. Its close enough to campus to walk, or take a free UNT shuttle, and far enough away from the bars where you wont have to hear the hooting and hollering until 2am every night.4 Stars, the price is expensive if you are looking to live by yourself. That price also includes; cable, washer and dryer and its furnished. The couches suck, however. As for the roach problem, I believe they are the result of leaky A/C units and dirty apartments. I have ran into a couple, but I spray raid down every month and havent seen any since I moved in a year ago. -
Review 61 (2013-02-20 - Rating: 5)
I have been living here for the past three years of college,Im a senior now, and I love it here. It is walking distance from UNT but also has a convenient shuttle running all day to campus and back. I live in the 4bed x 4bath floorplan and its basically a small house on one floor! SO much space. I love how we only have one set payment a month, all utilities included, and each apartment has a FULL SIZED washer and dryer!!! I think one of the coolest features about the apartments here though, are the HUGE balconys...I mean you can actually fit patio furniture and hang out, unlike almost all of the other apartments in the area. The office workers always greet you when you walk in, the manager is AWESOME and will take the time to meet with you when you really need to, and the maintenance guys are friendly and great about getting the service requests done in a timely manor. Best part about maintenance too, is the On-Call service where if Im locked out, my A/C or hot water heater goes out(which has happened!), or whatever the emergency may be, it doesnt matter if its 3am on a Saturday morning; theyll come out and fix it for you. Its great. As for the amenities...I use the workout room, which got all new equipment last year, almost every evening and the pool and sport courts are definitely a social hot-spot in the summer, fun times!!!Basically, Ive had a great experience my entire time here at the Courtyard and I would, and have, suggest this to anyone and everyone looking for somewhere fun, convenient, CLEAN, and VERY well-priced. The University Courtyard is a winner for sure! ;] -
Review 62 (2014-06-10 - Rating: 4)
Good price for decent quality. The staff is very good and takes care of pretty much any problem. Ive lived here for 2 years, and I believe its a good place to live for rent under $475. However, the neighbors tend to suck sometimes and theres the occasional cockroach in August/September. Other than that, its worth looking at. -

From a co signers perspective, UC is a really great place. My sister tells me how much shes enjoying her time there and how great the office and maintenance staff is. The leasing process was such a breeze and we definitely decided to renew the lease. I wouldnt want her to live anywhere else! -

Its a great place to live within budget. All the essential amenities are available on property complex such as gym, pool, basketball and volleyball courts, in-apartment laundry. Its also close to university and has buildings that look beautiful. Also maintenance and leasing teams are very helpful and provide quick service! -
Review 66 (2017-11-16 - Rating: 4)
I decided to live here after transferring from Collin College to UNT. Personally I have not had any bad experience with the Management. They are constantly trying to make the experience better and even the time our ice maker got messed up, and my living room got flooded overnight , they responded promptly when we called . Although they can still do better, It is a good place to stay considering the fact that it is also a student living residence. -

Review 73 (2013-11-08 - Rating: 5)
TOALLY AWESOME!! Not only is UC close to campus, and the gym, but it is like a home like feel. I experienced two floor plans the 4x4 and the 2x2 and I can say that I enjoyed them equally. The staff was always helpful, and so was maintenance. There is always something to do on the property, like pool parties and other fun things, and its always nice to meet people. At first I was scared to be off campus, but I can honestly say this is one of the best and safest places around the campus to live at.. I lived there for 2 year and never had any problems with anyone.Great overall experience!!! -

Lived here for two years (2016-2018) and my experience with this place was great. The new staff, especially Kim, who have been there for over a year now really show they care, provide great service, and really stepped it up. And whenever you needed a work order to be done the maintenance guys were always there to fix the problem. -

I am a resident at UC Denton and today my car stopped working and I needed someone to help me jumpstart my car. I went to the office and an amazing staff member called Melissa helped me out. She was literally the nicest person and even offered to drive us somewhere to eat after, since our car still wasn’t working and we had not eaten anything. If you ever visit UC I would ask for Melissa because she was the kindest person ever! Such a great place to live! -
Review 77 (2017-02-24 - Rating: 5)
The Courtyards is a fun place to live. The open and ready pool, basketball court, sand volleyball pit, and gym are great to invite guests and neighbors to hang out and lay back. The Office staff is pro-active and the maintenance crew is great with communicating when action is needed. I really enjoyed my time here and it made college a breeze. -
Review 78 (2018-10-26 - Rating: 5)
I have lived at University Courtyards for 6+ years. During this time, I have never experienced a problem that wasnt resolved in a timely manner. The staff here all go above and beyond, regardless of what their job description is. I regard them more as my friends, as opposed to just employees. I wonder if residents living at other communities can claim the staff as personal friends. -
Review 79 (2018-09-26 - Rating: 5)
Taylor and Josh C always help me out and answer my questions to the best of their abilities. Management will never leave you in the dark on issues. The lounge/study/gym area and the pool are great, and the apartments are spacious! -

I am giving 4 stars because my son never really got to stay there. He had rented a room and all was ready to go when he was diagnosed this summer with Leukemia. He will have to be treated at his home town for a year.I contact Liz at the apartments so they would have time to find another renter and they immediately worked with us to close out the agreement, with no charges. During this tough time, this was a shining spot of goodness. Thanks, guys. -

I absolutely love the staff at UC Denton! Everyone is so nice and welcoming, they make you feel right at home. Shoutout to Kimberly for always keeping it real at the office, and to the maintenance crew for having to deal with crazy college kids who are always managing to break everything in their apartments *Cough* *Cough* Jessica... They also throw banging pool parties! Great place to live, 5 out of 5 stars :) -

At University Courtyard you are getting what you pay for; it is quite sufficient living and provides a comfortable lifestyle for those students on a budget. Before moving to UC Denton I read a lot of negative reviews online and became quite anxious about what it would be like. Since moving in there has been a few issues, such as the washing machine needing to be fixed, the cupboard doors getting loose, and a minor ant infestation; malfunctions that are to be expected with older appartments. The functionality of your apartment will be relative to how well you look after it; for example, if you frequently clean your dishes, wipe surfaces, and dont leave food out, then you will not find ants, rats or cockroaches lurking. As for the office staff, they are ready to listen, friendly, and are proactive in resolving issues, given time to resolve them. I have treated them with respect and they have gone out of their way to make up for any wrong doings. For example, there was a miscommunication about my broken washing machine and I did not have one for 2 months. While it took a long time to be fixed, they replaced our washing machine with a brand new upgrade for the inconvenience. It is important to understand that the young adults working at the desk are representatives of the large corporation and are used as buffers to relay company policies. As Denton is a student town, large companies take advantage of that and will enforce policy changes without much empathy to those who have locked themselves in, as they can do so from afar. In saying that, anywhere you live in Denton is the same, and that is the gamble you take in any renting scenario. I have been informed that UC is trying to change their policy from all costs included to having to pay additions separately. All things considered, UC Denton provides some of the cheapest rates in Denton and have been a great first place for me to call home! The young staff are working hard to find ways to be more efficient and create a reliable environment for all. Thanks UC! -

Living at University Courtyards has been one of my best experiences in college thus far. UC feels like home and a vacation at the same time. There is always something fun to do and friendly people to welcome you. I cannot express my gratitude enough to the amazing staff here at UC. Curtis and everyone else in the office have really made this complex a great place to live. They have always been so helpful and professional. I will really miss being a part of this community after I graduate and can only hope my next apartment has as much to offer. -

UC Dentons staff was very helpful. They always responded back to me within the same day, and would be very patient with all the questions I had. Taylor, was especially helpful in giving me a tour of the apartments and answering all the inquiries I had. I am very excited to be living here starting next fall! -

Shout out to Dan! My boyfriend lives at UC Denton and I had left my car there since we drove his car to see family. I was trying to register it for a fourth day (PSA you can only register a guest car for three days!) and it wouldn’t register! I was freaking out that my car is going to get towed while six hours away from my car and no one has my keys in Denton, I called UC Denton and Dan answered. He was so calm and understanding and nice! The situation got resolved! UC Denton has its pros and cons but I think there’s going to be more and more positive changes now that Dan is a manager there! -

I lived at UC for 5 years while attending grad school. I really enjoyed my time living there. As a student, it is nice to have all of your monthly expenses rolled into your monthly rent. You dont have to worry about writing separate checks to different companies every month. Were students, we have enough to worry about! Its really hard to beat an ALL INCLUSIVE RENT and all the amenities in the clubhouse and pool area. The amenities are nice and are the same you would find at other places that are similar to UC.I had a one bedroom apartment. I always had a quiet place to study and work on my papers. It was nice to be able to go out on my porch and read. There was a little noise, but a lot of that is to be expected I think. I can say that it was quiet enough for me to finish my graduate degrees.I chose to live at UC because of the proximity to campus. I looked at other places and just felt a better vibe/connection to UC. The monthly rent was high at first, but over the years I noticed that the price I was paying was actually slightly lower than other apartment complexes that were fully furnished. I think you get a pretty good deal living at UC. Plus you are really close to campus. The apartment complex is on the UNT/TWU bus route, but so is everyone else. The advantage I noticed about UC is that youre only a few blocks from campus. There were times when I simply walked to campus for class. If youre in a bind and cant wait for the bus, you can walk to class. I dont think you have that option with other places because theyre a little further out from campus.I really enjoyed the staff. They always made it fun to come in, pay rent every month, or see whats going on. You see them at community events and are always willing to reach out so everyone has a good time. They always had fun with each other and I think that rubbed off on us, the residents. You could connect with them on some level because they are students too. They are friendly and pleasant to be around. Afterall, they are your neighbors. You see them daily. I remember running into my CA just about every day in my building. He was awesome and always said, hey man, whats up?. That made a big difference to me living at UC.When you take everything into account, I think youll find UC to be a great place to live as a student; I would definitely recommend. Youre close to campus, have access to all of your living necessities at a reasonable price, and a place to relax to have a little fun (i.e. community events, pool parties in the summer, Halloween party, etc.).
