    Not only are they good mechanics but they are good people. My car was leaking fuel. I drove it over there and they told me it was the fuel filter. They charged me a very reasonable price and had me out of there fairly quickly. No more leaking gasoline. Im happy thats fixed.I also get my inspections done there and they dont try to upsell you on things you know dont need like other places do. Mike and Terri are great. Really nice to talk to. Good mechanics, good people.

    Had my car breakdown just a few blocks away from here. Mike was very helpful on the phone and told me they could take care of my car, even on such a short notice. They had me diagnosed and fixed up in less then a day, made sure to call to let me authorize any work, and it cost me far less then I was expecting. My car works like brand new after they did their work and tuned it up. Would recommend to anyone looking to get good honest work done at a competitive price. Call and ask for Mike, he will take care of you.

    Mike and his crew are honest, work quickly and treat you like a friend. My tire was blown from hitting debris; could have been towed to a tire co but I know Mike will check on all of my car not just replace the tire thatā€™s wall was blown. Dependable and close to home; lucky to have them here in Memorial.

    I stop at this gas station to fill up often since it is so close to my house. It is very convenient and the attendants are always so helpful. This morning I had a tire issue, so I decided to try them for more than gasoline. They have a full-service car repair space located directly onsite, so I figured they could help with my tire. Sure enough, I had a roofing nail lodged in my front left tire. The attendant was wonderful and fast. He patched my tire for $20 and I was on my way. I appreciate the location of this service/gas station especially this morning when I was heading to work. If I had to go anywhere else, I would have been late. Its not a huge issue if I am late, but I really hate being late... its just a thing with me. This is where my 5 stars really ring out. Because I was able to get in and out fast, because the attendant was so nice and because I feel it was a very fair price, I rate this service station 5 stars. I dont know how to do these things myself, so I panic a little when my tire light comes on in my car. Peace of mind is huge. I wish I would have gotten the gentlemanā€™s name this morning. If he reads this review, thank you!Dont forget to tip your service people for doing things you cant do or dont want to do. I have a maintenance package on my vehicle right now through my dealership, but after that expires, this place will have my business. I really love their almost old fashion standard of business. I feel like I can trust this place.

    Iā€™ve been going to this establishment for 25 years. Eddie and Mike had and have always been there for me and my family when we needed maintenance or repairs on our cars over the years. Always honest and accommodatingā€¦.and I will add that Richard is very knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain repairs and give good advice.     Yā€™allā€¦ INCREDIBLE service. Recently my Acura started giving me problems - took my car to Memorial Conoco and they replaced a faulty part within a rather quick time frame and at a reduced cost from the dealer. When something was acting up a month later, they literally drove to get me and helped drive my car back to the shop. Fixed the issue, no questions asked and at no cost. Will absolutely continue to use them in the future and refer them to anyone looking for incredible service. I have NEVER in any circumstance received service like this and I could tell my safety and satisfaction was a priority to them. 10/10 recommend!

    Mike, Terri and their crew are very detailed oriented and run a professional repair shop. If you take a prior appointment from them, they do not make you wait excessively like at some repair shops. I took my car to get air conditioning checked and fixed as it did not cool as much as it used to. They clearly explained to me the process they would follow and suggested a time at which I can bring the car and the time it would take. They stuck to the timelines and the initial quote provided, and the car air conditioning (for a 8+ year old car) is now as good as new! Plus you get the satisfaction of supporting a local small business and not a faceless corporate chain or dealership. They will be my go to repair shop from here on. Highly recommend!

Ive had the honor of knowing Mike Balzer for over 15 years, and he has those old fashioned values of putting the customers needs 1st. I brought my 2023 Charger in for a simple oil change and he had the car checked from top to bottom. Hes all about customer service, and thats something that you just dont see much anymore.     Was trapped in a storm near by there and realized I would not make it home without new wipers. Like I could not see at all. So I pulled into this gas station and even though it was pouring down rain and they had no power they jumped through several hoops to get new wipers on for me so I could get home. I paid the cash I had on hand and they were really great about it. Super nice people. They have earned more business from me for sure. What a great group of people. Mike, Teri and the guy who changed my wipers in the rain, thank you!

    Excellent customer service. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and friendly during my visit to get my A/C replaced. I was in and out in one day and he also offered to drop me off at home while i waited and pick me back up after service was complete. A month or so after the work was done he contacted me just to make sure everything was still running smoothly. Now thats what i call customer service. Will definitely be a lifelong customer now and will absolutely recommend.Updated: 10/16/24Seriously the best shop ever. Mike and his staff are amazing. Went in thinking i needed a costly shock/strut replacement (thanks other mechanic) and ended up being a broken motor mount causing my troubles. Other shop would have absolutely replaced my shocks/struts without me knowing any better. But my gut said take it to Mike and so I did and I am so happy about that. I will never take my car anywhere else. Doesnt matter how far away I am. AAA service for sure.

    Memorial Conoco Car Care is the BEST mechanic shop around. They have reasonable and fair prices, they do exceptional work, and best of all, they are honest.I researched and read lots of reviews to find the best mechanic in the area since I have an older car and knew I would eventually need some work done on my 03 Toyota Runner. What I overwhelming found was Memorial Conoco Car Care. I brought my car in for an oil change first to check it out and I was quite happy with my decision that I found my new mechanic.Fast forward 6 months later, and sure enough my old vehicle needed some service. It was making a horrible noise and the check engine light was on. I brought it in and they diagnosed the problem and called me with the estimate. I agreed to the work and I got my car back good as new. It runs so smooth now. I will be forever coming back for all my car care needs. Customer for life. Thank you Memorial Conoco Care Care!!     I come here for my annual inspection, its always been very easy. They dont do over the phone estimates which I found frustrating. I had a bad PCV which caused my valve cover gasket to blow out. I replaced the PCV and wanted a quote to get the gasket replaced but they wouldnt give me a quote. I understand why they have these policies in place, to prevent customers misdiagnosing their vehicles and then being shocked when they get the official diagnosis from the mechanic and usually an increase in repair cost which they possibly back out on. Secondly the fact that theyll make additional money on their diagnosis process usually at an hourly rate. The Honda dealership by me did give me an over the phone quote and they wanted way too much money for a simple replacement. I was a mechanic for 10 years when I was younger and felt this diagnosis was pretty straightforward. In the end I replaced the gasket myself for 30 bucks for the gasket plus the cost of a tube of RTV. Theyre an almost full service shop, I believe they lack an alignment rack/machine but I could be wrong. So I believe the techs there must be ASE Master Techs.

    I had a flat tire yesterday, and I felt it and ended up pulling over in the parking lot to regroup. The owner just happened to be working late and checked it out for me. He told me what happened with my tire and put my spare on for me when it wasnā€™t fixable. It was after business hours so I was so relieved and thankful he was there to help me. He even filled up my other tire that was low!! He wouldnā€™t accept any payment and just sent me on my way. The owner was a Good Samaritan to the MAX! I would have been stranded if it wasnā€™t for him!

    I called for a last minute pre-purchase inspection for the next day which was a Saturday. Mike was very accommodating. It did take about 4 hours to get the vehicle back, but like I mentioned, it was a Saturday and Mike worked me in for the day.     I have never had a vehicle serviced here BUT I just spoke with Mike about a car they serviced for years that I am looking to purchased from a used car lot. He took the time to answer all my questions about the history of the car and even told me about a small issue the current dealership has not disclosed. Folks you dont normally see this type of assistance from a chain company like Firestone or Jiffy Lube. Remember I wasnt spending any money here and he took time to look up everything.     This is a rarity, a Great Full Service, Neighborhood gas station. Mike & Kendra give great Customer Service on the front line. Mike has been there for decades, & some of the mechanics have been there for years, too. So, it is nice to see a familiar face. It is a hard working crew, & I value & appreciate the work they perform on my 2010 Linc MKX. They also do all the inspections on the vehicle. Like I mentioned they are Full Service, & so far have properly diagnosed the problems, & gotten me back on the roadā€¼ļø

    While there are many auto repair shops in Houston, few, if any, compare to Memorial Conoco Car Care! I have used them exclusively for the past several years for both our cars. Mike Balzer & his techs are just a great bunch of honest, hard working REGULAR people. I was recently going out of town to a convention. I had many things to do the day before. I walked out to my car & saw I had a flat. After several calls to see about getting roadside service, Mike & Ed came to my house, put a spare on, drove away, went back to the shop & fixed my flat, which I got back later that afternoon. They didnt need to do that. They just did it anyway! I appreciate their keen sense of detail. I want to drive my car for many more years! They make the necessary repairs & nothing more. I TOTALLY trust them. If you need a great place to get your vehicle serviced, dont hesitate to give them your business!

    I had to get my wifes car inspected after dealing with a check engine light. I hadnt completed the drive cycle so it didnt pass as a lot of the sensors were not ready. They worked with me when I came back and I was in and out in no time.This is a great neighborhood service station, and Im glad theyre in my neighborhood.

    Took my Subaru here for an oil change and found their prompt service, honesty, and fairness a refreshing change from the usual pressure-filled visits to the dealer. I really appreciated that Mike and his team only changed or replaced what was needed, rather than trying to push unnecessary work on me. Just recently, the day before I was to drive out of town for the holidays, I noticed a small oil leak caused by a worn out drain plug washer. Its a $1 part, but the dealer wouldnt replace it without a complete and unneeded oil change. Rushed over to Memorial Conoco with the part. They took care of it for free in about 20 minutes. Super nice of them. Ill definitely be back when my car needs work in the future.

    I am a mechanic who recently had a mesh implant in my chest,so i could not do my own repair on my loved 2000 durango. I ask them to change out my brake switch which went bad and asked them to perform an ABS coding and when the abs light kept coming on they said bring the durango back to reread the codes aand they found a code 63 abs. the their very good mechanic told me to flush the brake fluid to the abs sensor block to rear w2heels and the brakes were not engaging as they should .i released the brake line to rear brakes and started the vehicle and pumped the brake 6 times which flushed the sensor block and vale in the block cleared the valve within. no more ABS light and vehicle rear brakes engaged properly. thanks for your great assistance!

    We broke down and had to stay at a hotel in I-10. In the morning we called memorial conoco car care. Eddie, the owner picked us up & drove our car to the shop w/ the battery charger attached, saving us money on a potential to. He even dropped us back @ our hotel while they worked in the car. The price to fix the problem (serpentine belt came off) was around $350, right what we expected. Now we can get back on the road & head to New Orleans where we are supposed to be spending our honeymoon. They were honest, fair & went above & beyond @ memorial conoco.
