Best in the business! The two times that I’ve had issues with my HVAC one was during extreme heat in middle of summer, The other was during these recent freezing temperature days.. both times they provided quick service at a reasonable price. Most importantly I never felt the high pressure sales job to get me to upgrade or buy services I didn’t want or need, that I typically get from other bigger local companies. Honest people, I HIGHLY recommend them 👍

This is a family owned, long time Heights company that I have been doing business with for over 30 years. I’ve had multiple new units installed as well as existing units repaired in multiple rental and remodel properties over the years. They are responsive and reliable. They have never tried to up-sell me or use scare tactics to try and sell a new installation. In fact, they have helped me stretch out replacements when money has been tight - which has been a great help in the past. I’ve referred them to multiple people and have gotten similar feedback. I can’t say more except if they hadn’t been doing good I wouldn’t have been using them for so many years.

Choose Bodensteiner! They’re simply the best. On a day when it’s 30 degrees outside and heaters are struggling to keep up, my newish system thermostat gave an error message that the system was asking for heat but the temperature was dropping. I panicked and called Bodensteiner at 7am and soon as they opened they scheduled me for same day service! They arrived around 11 am. They have worked for me at 3 different places plus my daughter’s house. Always prompt, knowledgeable and fair. They are a small family business and give the absolute best service.

Thank you so much for your prompt and professional services. My heat stopped working during the freeze and Blair was dispatched to my home. Not only was he early but he was incredibly kind. Ended up being something silly on my end and he was honest and didn’t charge me for a bunch of work that was not necessary. It is rare to find a company these days that doesn’t try to take advantage of the weather and jack up prices. Blair explained what he thought was causing the temporary outages and serviced my furnace and now the heat is back on and keeping us warm. A+++ for service, integrity and professionalism! Henry Bodensteiner , founder of the company, installed my hvac system in my newly purchased bungalow 35 years ago. Henry, a real character, worked alone and sadly passed away several years ago but his sons and grandson have continued with and built up the company. Whenever I have an issue at any of my properties, Blair or Hank are out to fix my hvac within 24 hours even though they may be swamped in the summer. They are reasonably priced, polite, prompt, honest, and will tell me if there is a solution that would save me money. I miss seeing Henry but am so pleased that his company has continued and thrived. Bodensteiner is all about keeping their promises. Blair came out when promised, delivered a quote when promised, installed the new system when promised, registered the system (for warranty) with the manufacturer as promised, and the system works as promised. Blair also didnt try to scare me into buying a system. He said that, although the system was old (original 17 yr old builder grade system), there was no way he or anyone else could predict when it would die. I chose to replace the system because it WAS old and I didnt want to risk another summer of Houston heat with an old system. Theres a reason why so many people in The Houston Heights speak so highly of Bodensteiner. Their performance on all fronts deserves the praise.UPDATE: A couple of months after I had this new system installed, the one component I chose not to replace failed. Hank came out within 24 hours and replaced the part. They continue to impress me!

This began with a great relief, when I’d been told by the big firm that my house would need an entirely new HVAC system. I mentioned this to a work colleague who owns several rent houses. This year, routine maintenance, everything checks out again. Five days later, A/C died again. Two burned wires and capacitor is dead. I dont think its malicious, but very frustrating. Whether or not it was in their control to prevent the problem, Im left feeling stuck and like I paid for a service that didnt really help in the end. For the record, I know theyre a small local business and I feel bad leaving this review, but its just my experience so far. Up until 2023, would have given them five stars. Also, the techs are all very friendly, for what its worth.
