We took my 2018 car to AutoWorld West Loop in Houston for some scheduled maintenance. They completed my maintenance and also did an overall inspection since my car has gotten up in the mileage. Recommended some needed repairs on a couple of issues that could lead to bigger repairs. They understood my hesitation and mistrust because in my previous auto service experiences, (at other auto service shops) I had been a victim to service scams. Jerry and Raul were honest and straightforward explaining and demonstrating the detailed work order and my part of the payment. That was almost two weeks ago and I am very pleased to share my wonderful experience with their team. You have a true service and repair center in Auto World West Loop! Was recently traveling through Houston and ended up in need of some urgent assistance with my car. I chose Auto World West Loop as they had the highest rating and best reviews. My used Toyota had been running great for years - until it wasnt. Out of the blue the engine almost died at a stoplight and then began running very rough. I pulled off the side of the road and called AutoWorld to tell the that I would try to make it to their shop. I did make it and Raul diagnosed the problem. One of the four cylinders was not firing. He said that my 12-year-old had never had a tuneup. It wasnt an expense I expected but it was money well spent. My engine runs like new and AutoWorld took care of me at the spur of the moment in only a few hours. If that is the kind of service you want, give them a try.

Raul and the rest of the mechanics at Auto World West Loop Houston have aided me with excellent craftsmanship that has also saved me a significant amount of money. As a woman who also possesses very little knowledge about the inner workings of cars, I, unfortunately, have been taken advantage of countless times at other shops. Conversely, Raul and his team are trustworthy, compassionate, and do great work that stands the test of time. Recently, my air conditioner stopped working. Another shop quoted me a price of $1500, yet Auto World West Loop found the actual problem was related to freon, an easy fix that was solved in a few hours for less than $200. After getting my air conditioning fixed, I unfortunately severely damaged the front bumper of my car. What would have cost thousands to fix at a collision center was fixed by Auto World West for approximately $200. Raul has also helped me in the past with check engine light issues. I was referred to Auto World by a friend, needed front end work on my 14 year old van. Not only did they do an EXCELLENT job communicating and fixing the problem, checked out the entire van, had it completed in a day, kept it overnight until I could pick it up...they also knocked out a dent in my front bumper AND polished my headlight covers which were extremely cloudy! I was honestly shocked to receive such fabulous service in this day and age. Raul (a prince of a guy) explained what I needed and kept me in the loop until the job was complete. While traveling from Dallas to Houston my car began to ride a bit rough and immediately upon arriving there my check engine light came on. This shop was located close to my hotel and the following morning I stopped in for a diagnosis. I was only going to be in town for 3 days but needed to make sure the car was road-ready and safe for the return drive home. After speaking with the owner, I felt comfortable leaving it in their hands. He also provided a complimentary ride for me and my daughter back to the hotel and within another couple of hours the car was repaired and ready for pick-up. Before i left town they even checked in with me to see how the car was performing. They took car of my situation so well that i made sure to recommend them to my family there in Houston. I was traveling the day the AC in my car broke, and I had an hour and a half drive ahead of me (in 100 degree weather). I called Auto World from a Google search going off of other great reviews, and they were able to get me in right away. They fixed the problem so quickly on the very same day!! Also, everyone I encountered was so friendly and honest. I truly felt comfortable with the whole situation, and I can’t say that for previous car shops I have been to in the past. My regular mechanic decided to retire so he recommended Auto World. I’m glad he did! My car was overheating for the first time and they took their time to look it over and figure out what the issue was. I was given a quote which I agreed to and when I came to pick up my car, the amount I needed to pay ended up being less because they were able to get the part for less than expected! I found that to be very admirable considering the bad wrap that most mechanics get regarding pricing. They’ve gained a customer for life and I’ll be telling everyone I know about them!

I’d like to leave a great review for Auto World West Loop. I live nearby and it was time I found a new repair shop in town. My Tahoe was having a hard time at my old shop with inspection and they told me I needed to replace the connection where the scanner plugs in… I looked at everything myself and it all seemed fine so I decided to take it to Auto World West loop and they showed me the connection was just fine and I didn’t need to replace anything. Further I had some other maintenance issues and the crew walked me thru my best options and what made the most sense economically. It’s always nice when your mechanic shop helps prove you don’t need to replace things unnecessarily when I certainly would have not knowing any better. Been a customer for several years. Recently had an actual problem with my vehicle. I accidentally pulled out of my garage a bit too soon and partially ripped my Mazda cx-5 antenna off…oops and eek.Raul gave me my options, told me the cost of materials and labor. They are always so helpful in this department…they don’t just tell you how much it’s going to be they go beyond and give you options. At the same time my antenna incident occurred it also turned out my engine light turned on while on route to Auto World and my battery was dead, They checked the battery and found out it was under warranty (matter of days) so all I owed was the labor to put it in..,very nominal.Anyway , I am rambling but I really like Raul, Gerry and the whole crew. They even gave me a ride home and picked as I live very close by. Really appreciated that.I always use Auto World for my oil changes and state inspections and have been a customer since 2019

I brought my Sprinter van here hoping to find a good, reliable place for service other than the dealer. So far, Ive had Auto World replace the battery and a transmission seal. I was very pleased with the work and the price.I thought I needed a brake job and was ready to move forward with that work but after inspecting the brakes Raul told me they had more miles left on them and suggested waiting. Auto World could have moved forward with the work and made a buck then and there but they were honest about the situation. I like that.

I took my 2015 Jeep Wrangler to Auto World West Loop 4 months ago to figure out why it would take 2-3 ignition switches to get my car up and running. They ran diagnostics and clearly communicated the mechanical issue. I appreciate their transparency and for not pushing any unnecessary adjustments/repairs to the vehicle.Fast forward to last month (August) where I got involved in a collision with another vehicle which damaged the front right passenger door area of my car. After I took the car out of the storage lot, Auto World essentially took over and sent all the necessary paperwork, damages, and estimates to the insurance adjuster. They lent me a 2015 Jeep Compass to use while my car was being fixed and updated me once a week on the status of my car. When it was finally time to pick up my Wrangler, it looked good as new!Props to Raul and the Auto World West Loop team for going above and beyond to take great care of their customers!

I dont know much about cars and often get taken advantage of by most mechanics who prey on uneducated customers. Auto World didnt see me as someone to make money out of, but they treated me with respect and honesty. Ill be going there for my oil change and everything car related and will make sure to tell all my friends and family about them.

Im very happy that all the good reviews were true and I used a local shop. For all the laundry list of minor things I needed checked they did everything so quickly and listened to my concerns. At first, I was worried because I havent been this place, and my car just happened to be dropped off at this place by a tow truck driver. I had no choice but to fix my car at this place.I know that a lot of mechanics usually rip off female drivers and fix something else that doesnt need to be fixed so that they can charge more. That has happened to me a couple of times. So I was always afraid of trying new mechanic without my friends reference. But actually they were nice and gave me a fair price. WOW! My car had been at airport parking when the last tropical storm hit and there was flooding at the parking lot. I was concerned that my car may have damage from the flooding so I looked online and Auto World West Loop had good reviews so I called over there and explain what happened. I talked to Raul and he asked me several questions about the vehicle and said that it should be fine but I could absolutely swing by and he would take a look at it just to make sure. I went there this morning and he greeted me warmly, even though it was first thing in the morning right when they were opening, and then offered me coffee or water and brought my car around to lift it up and take a look at the bottom of it. He checked the air filter, checked for any moisture, or any damage to the vehicle. I was very relieved to hear that there was no damage to the vehicle and then he also took the time to scan it to make sure there were no codes that could be a concern and let me know about some corrosion on the battery terminal and options to be able to fix it. My own experience from Auto World is the front counter are friendly and professional at what they do. I had my Jeep tow to the Dealership because it wouldn’t start on and had a engine light on. The advisor explain to me I needed a new engine because the Jeep model that I have has many problems in the past and I needed to leave my Jeep overnight so I did the next day the advisor came to me with a quote of close to 5,000 dollars to replace the engine other components that needed to fix but the truth is while I was asking questions who wouldn’t give me a straight answer all he kept saying is that type of model has electrical items and they don’t sell the parts on the store. I left frustrated and I recall there is the small shop on on 610 call Auto World West Loop next to my Job that sells Jeeps and more. So I had my Jeep tow the next few days. I spoke to Raul and explain what was going that my engine wouldn’t start and had a engine light on. I left my Jeep overnight and so Raul called me and explain to me I needed a new batterie and a tune up thats it. Raul gave me a quote and I agree it was a fair price that week came to pick it up and drove with a sense of relief that there still good people with good intentions to help out the community. These guys are just about as honest as you are going to find in any auto repair shop. Hmmm, after writing that, I feel maybe it didnt come out right. Let me try again. These guys are the most ethical and honest guys you are going to find, and they happen to also fix cars.Ive taken at least 3 vehicles over the last 15 years, and they have treated me consistently during that time. The first vehicle had seemingly major issues, brakes not working, engine quitting at low idle at stop lights, a nightmare for a non-technical guy. The looked at it and said a vacuum hose/tube was broken/leaking. It was less than $50 and less than an hour later I was back on the road with everything working perfectly! I was hooked at that point.Since then I have taken other vehicles there to get repairs. When they were not able to make the repair, they were honest with me and said they could not do it and gave me a good reason. Recently, they told me they couldnt repair/replace the steering component on my Tahoe because it required programming by the dealer, but that it would likely be covered by my extended warranty. The warranty provider confirmed they would pay them to do the work, but they insisted that they could not do it and to take it to a dealer. Some less ethical or honest people might have taken on the work since it was a warranty claim and then not done the job right. Not these guys. We ended up at the dealer and they made the replacement and we only paid the $100 warranty deductible on an $1800 repair.If you have any car problems, do not hesitate to contact these guys and rest assured that they will give you the right level of service you need and be upfront and honest with you.

Ive been here a few times for oil changes, maintenance, and state inspections over the past few years. The service (and most importantly the price) has always been fair and honest in my opinion. One nice thing I think is pretty cool is that they dont try to push upsells on you, they just tell you what they think is wrong, provide some options, and let you think about it.The parking lot can also be a bit tight but Ive never had an issue finding a spot to park.The waiting room is a bit boring (what waiting room isnt?), but while you wait for your car you can wander around the nice neighborhoods nearby or go to some of the nearby restaurants.

This is my go-to when it comes to my BMW car repairs. If youre looking for a repair shop, along with a shop that you can trust and be rest assured with, choose West Loop Auto! Roy took care of me this time around (I had a similar issue the first time I visited West Loop Auto). Because ANOTHER one of my coils got worn out, they recommended me to call my dealership for a second opinion. I called and my dealership DID confirm with me that it was a common issue (even more so because my BMW is a 2011 older car). I didnt feel pressured to get my repair done with West Loop Auto. I genuinely felt like any decisions I wanted to make on my car was in my control (and with their support)! Roy even got my interior brake light fixed because it was loose, free of charge. Its nice to have a repair shop that you can feel confident with.

Auto World really goes above and beyond anything I could ever expect from anyone in any industry. I was dropping off my vehicle and was needing a ride to the Galleria for a meeting and I got delayed in traffic and Gerry was just there waiting for me with a smile when I got there. I never have felt a service was invented by them as I have at many other places. By far the best service and price anywhere. I bet people may not stop in here thinking, somewhere this conveniently located in town has got to be over-priced. Dont go anywhere else until you come in to Auto World. You will be very happy you did.

I went in as I had noise coming from my serpentine belt. I thought it was the belt slipping. Instead of just doing the job I asked for and taking my money as most places would have, they were honest enough to call and tell me the belt was fine. That it was my ac compressor (I was aware the AC wasn’t working) that the noise was coming from, probably the compressor clutch. They saved me from an unnecessary repair and didn’t even charge for the diagnosis. If I do decide to repair the AC, instead of just selling the car, they will get my business.

I have known Gerry for at least 10 years. I knew about the garage since 1967 when my parents were driving me to Austin for my freshman year at UT. The car started sputteringand since most dealerships service dept were closed on Saturdays my dad pulled into the garage on the West Loop and the owner put some kind of cleanser in it and the engine was fixed.I have had 4 new cars since 1975. A 1975 Toyota FJ 40 a 1980 Camaroa 1986 Thunderbird and a 1998 Tahoe. All of them had at least 200,000 miles on them which I attribute to using Castrol 20/50 Gerry uses Exxon and likes it so I let him put it in.When I moved to Afton Oaks, the neighborhood that Auto World I started using Gerrys services. The Tahoe has 265,000 miles on it. Gerry has been working on it since it had 95,000 and he ordered Goodyear tires that were about 4 dollars morethan NTB down the street.As a small business person I always try to support small businesses. Gerry stands behind his work. When a power steering unit failed after a month he replaced it for no charge the day after I brought it in. It is the same one that is still in the vehicle 4 years later. I get my car inspected there every year and while some do a quick and superficial job the guys at Auto World do it right.
