Ive been an Auto Check First Colony customer for many years now, but never have I been more impressed than I was with my most recent repair experience this week. I brought my Infiniti QX80 in for what I knew was a bad compressor. What I DIDNT know was just how thorough, persistent and adamant my service advisor (David) would have to be as he fought with my warranty company on my behalf. I will spare you all of the details, but David went SEVERAL extra miles in getting my AC back to tip-top shape! Of course all of the technicians here at Auto Check are highly skilled, but combined with SUPERIOR customer service, this place is UNMATCHED! Having benefitted from this firsthand, Id be absolutely foolish to look elsewhere for vehicle service! BIG THANKS to David and all of the folks over at Auto Check for another job well done! I was impressed with Auto Check First Colony customer service and expertise I what they do. My car was pulling to the right and left when I increase speed. I was told by two other buyers sinews that I needed new tires on front and another said front end alignment. I followed through with both recommendations and the car was still pulling. My sister recommended Auto Check because she was pleased with the work they did on her car. Auto Check identified the problem right away and email me a summary including pictures. The person reviewed everything we me over the phone. Once I approved the work they fixed my car and had it completed by the end of the day. Smooth driving and I am pleased.

This Auto Check seems to strive to deliver customer satisfaction.The first time our vehicle was at this Auto Check the team, including the manager at the time, Sandy Gaines, and the mechanics, went above and beyond to facilitate a rapid repair. It was a rare episode of vehicle maintenance that I won’t forget.This recent visit was my second. I needed a diagnosis of a problem with the electronics, and the mechanic was able to find it. The solution was expensive, but at least the repair is not an emergency.Received a quote for an oil change, too. Price was reasonable, compared with the cost for prior oil changes.I have recommended this service center to others, and I would return again.

I came back to Auto Check First Colony because I knew I needed my routine oil change and brakes checked. They found some problems and gave me a detailed estimate. They were very thorough in their explanations of what needed to be done. I had them go ahead with the work. I have to say that like previous times that they worked on my car, I got excellent results and the work was done within a reasonable time frame. I got detailed receipts of what was done and a written guarantee. My car brakes are handling well and I’m pleased with the outcome. Thank you to the great team at Auto Check. I was treated with respect and professionalism which is not always the case when a female takes a car in for repairs.

Auto Check First Colony was introduced to me by Costco.com program.They were surprisingly friendly, honest and sincere.Most auto repair shops pressure me to do all sorts of unnecessary repairs in addition to what was requested, but they did not try to do that.I was completely satisfied with the results and cost of the repairs. I trust Auto. Heck First Colony as much as I trust Costco.

I have been consistently satisfied with the service and price/value I have received from Auto Check over 4 years. It is rare to find a shop that gives a fair quote in writing and never tries to pad the estimate with extras you dont need. They research and find the best, most cost effective solution. Recently they have stepped up their game by adding Joe to the front desk...extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to to do business with. Compared to other experiences I have had with other shops in the past, I wouldnt think of taking my cars any other place.

Stop by in the morning for an oil change, friendly service, which is good. They were not busy, so they took my car right away, but the oil change was very slow, took 30+ minutes. Then they suggested I get an alignment, filter replacement, and a light fixed, those took an additional 50+ minutes, so that’s almost 1.5 hours. Only wish they were quicker!

I called the shop and spoke with the service writer about an issue I was having with my vehicle on a Friday and expressed my concern with potential safety issues going on a long trip Monday. The noise didn’t start happening until Friday.They asked me to go ahead and bring it in and they would fit it in. After review, they showed me the issues and provided a detailed estimate which I was happy to accept.They texted me several hours later saying my vehicle was ready with all the recommended repairs and no surprises. This is my new mechanic shop with full trust in their work.

I went to this store for the alignment. After mechanics spent quite some time inspection. I was told my car did not need alignment. They did not even charge me 1 cent. They were very genuine. Next time, I will still go to them for the alignment work if needed.Kevin - store manager immediately made the appointment when I called in. The technician did an awesome job doing alignment for my Acura MDX. Kevin patiently reviewed reports explaining me which issues got resolved. He gave me such a peace of mind. I promised Kevin that I would come again after new tires installation or hitting a curb. No place is more trustworthy than auto check Lexington. I have been visiting them for 8 years and will continue to do so. Great customer care and service. Bravo Kevin and team !

I have never met a nicer set of people than Sandy and Ralph. I blew out my tire on a curb, limped into their shop after a referral and they took care of me better than I had expected. What put them over the top, was how they took the time to show me where my problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. If youre ever in need of car care, you MUST give Auto Check a try. You will not be disappointed.Update (9/2024): Sandy and Ralph have a new shop. Kevin is now over this branch and he continues where Sandy and Ralph left off. I had my catalytic converter replaced. And the part went bad or broke apart (not their fault but the manufacturer’s fault) They were very professional. They contacted the manufacturer of the part, they replaced it free of charge of course because that’s Auto Check- First Colony. They are customer friendly and honest and trustworthy. I’ve trusted my car with them so many times and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Ms. Sandy at the front desk is the best! Great customer service and always has a good attitude and a welcoming spirit. I have taken my vehicle to this shop on several occasions for servicing and with excellent results. My AC unit recently quit working and I made an appointment for service. Sandy, I believe, got in my vehicle to begin the service process. I noticed that she sat in the car in the parking lot for several minutes. She finally came into the waiting room and ask me to come out and get into my car. Behold, there was cold air coming from the vents. She kindly pointed out to me that I had failed to press the proper button to activate the AC portion of the cooling system. I was quite relieved not to have expensive AC work done, but as a former airline transport rated pilot, I was somewhat embarrassed at my not noticing this. I guess Sandy saw the expression on my face and simply wished me a good day and sent me on my way. This is my shop as long as I own and drive a car.

Very reasonable and friendly staff. Brought my Volvo XC90 (2008) in for them to look at. Vehicle was having idling issues. Air filter, fuel injection cleaning, solenoid replacement and other tune up maintenance needed to be done. Sandy is great with communicating and sent us an estimate by email. She itemized everything that needed to be done so we can make an informed decision. The tech wrote in detail what was the problem during the troubleshooting and found a resolution to our problem. After agreeing to the scope of work and pricing she let us know when it will be done. We got the call as promised and picked up the vehicle. We are very pleased with the work and was told that there was a 36 month warranty on the parts. I will be bringing my vehicles to them for their 5 Star service. Thank you Sandy and team for taking care of our vehicle needs.

They changed the bulb and told me to have a good day. I have a warranty which they could have charged $50 for just looking at the car. I was in and out within an hour. The only thing I would have appreciated would have been for them to show me how dirty they were before they changed them. Under new ownership.My wife tried to take her car in a couple of years ago and was given the cold shoulder. She felt they were talking down to her because she is a female. I had to take the car in but had no real complaints. Service was average at best but convenient.Fast forward to last Saturday.I took the vehicle in to get an inspection and could immediately notice the difference when I walked in. The new owners went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and to get honest feedback about what could be improved. I was also impressed with their warranty on many of their services and parts. Plus, they now have loaner vehicles in case you need to run errands while waiting for your car to be serviced. Very convenient and shows they understand that their customers time is valuable as well.It is nice to see a family run business where the owners know the value of good customer service. We also like to be able to support a local business.I will be taking my car here from now on.Update 10-19-17: Ralph has done a great job with this place. If you need a local service place for your vehicle, I highly recommend these guys. I still take our vehicles there.

Good experience.I waited too long and needed an oil change and dropped in after having to drive from Houston for other business. Google reviews looked good so what the heck, right?I walked in, asked how much a change was and how long it would take.Without answering my questions, they took my name, asked for my keys and gave them to a tech. Then the receptionist(?) turned and told me a price that was way lower than I expected. I was in and out in minutes on a Saturday afternoon.The lady who greeted me was very nice and friendly, everyone looked happy at their job and it was a great experience. I’m sure it isn’t this easy every time or this quick but I’m glad I dropped in and found professionals who do their job well.I’ll be back.

In the automotive repair industry, it is not uncommon for shops to upsell clients on services they dont need, or worse services that will damage the vehicle and cause repeated trips back to the shop. I already left a review about Auto Check First Colony but I want to reiterate how good they are. As I said before, they might not be the cheapest (not over prized either) but you will be hard pressed to find a more honest shop. They give very honest opinion about your issue, they try to find parts at the best possible price and only use good parts, they take responsibility and stand behind their work and you will walk out of there feeling good about them. Unfortunately I have been at their shop a little bit more frequent lately than what I would like, I got an older vehicle so it is to be expected, and two times I heard an employee ask a customer if they wanted to safe some money and then offered an opinion or an alternative as to how to tackle their issue. Ralph, Tami and their crew are top notch.

I had to get a lot of work done on my car and they were very patient and explained the work, the pricing, etc - not to mention they are open late on Saturdays. The customer service was so good and everybody was making a concerted effort to gain my trust and make me want to come back. The only reason I gave them 4 vs. 5 stars is because their pricing seemed a bit higher than some of the other places. The owner explained to me that they use top quality parts and have longer warranties than some of the cheaper places. Even though it may have cost a little more, I do feel satisfied with the service I received.

My 2009 Toyota Sienna received a 4-wheel alignment at Auto Check First Colony on 8/15/2017 and underwent repair of the rear right contact shim on 11/15/2017. The car was brought back to the shop for alignment check on 3/21/2018 and 8/3/2018. During both occasions, adjustments were made, and the shop honored the warranty without charge. When the shops online scheduling did not work due to glitches, Ralph was always responsive in acknowledging the feedback as well as taking appointment manually. I almost forget to mention that the waiting area and the restroom in the shop are so well maintained that its a pleasure to be there. I’m from Victoria and was visiting family in Sugarland, when my car failed to turn over. After roadside assistance verified the battery was good, I had to line up repairs. The battery tester recommended Auto Check First Colony, so I called and explained I was 2 hours from home and stranded. Peyton spoke to her manager who called me back and she agreed to start on it right away. After getting the car towed in it was approaching noon. The diagnosis was a bad starter which is no simple repair. I was afraid I was going to be stranded overnight. However, one person went after the part, another began removing the old starter and the job was done by 5:00. I was extremely pleased. The office personnel were great and technicians obviously competent.Highly recommend them

Honest people with great service. The few conversations that Ive had with Ralph (the owner) has given me a vibe that he is an honest guy who knows his craft. I got an ac compressor replaced from these guys a few years ago and yes, the price was a little high compared to most places but it was worth it for one reason...a warranty that they stand by! The compressor stopped working about a year later (the part manufacturers fault, not theirs) and they replaced it with a brand new compressor under the warranty.I have now moved about two hours away to Beaumont but I frequent the Houston area frequently and the excellent work these guys do gives me an incentive to go more often. I always try to get my work done here if possible.Keep up the good work guys!

New management in last year or two has really turned this shop around. Had our high end and other cars serviced by them. Staff is kept busy sweeping lot up and other odd jobs when not busy. Have and will continue to send wife alone to them as they are honest and trustworthy. Have on occasion provided my own parts and they have installed without a moments hesitation at reasonable fair prices. Found that asking questions of this knowledgeable staff if I am unsure of their procedures or practices always resolves my concerns. Even work out payment plans if necessary. Went to this shop to get an alignment and unfortunately I wasnt able to get it done at the time. Many shops would have done the alignment charged you for it and said oh by the way you need these items fixed as well basically trying to up sale you. This wasnt the case. After getting my truck on the lift it was determined that my alignment wouldnt hold due to needing ball joints and tie rods replaced. Now I know you may be thinking they tried to upsale me but that wasnt the case. My truck has over 150k miles on it and parts like these wear out. The manager told me that they could do the alignment if I really wanted but that it wouldnt last due to the parts that were going or have gone bad. There was no charge and they even recommended other places that probably could do the work cheaper that specialize in those items needing to be fixed. So I cam say when it comes to this shop that they have their customers best interests at heart.

When I got stranded and needed my car towed, Tammy came to pick me up and Ralph arranged to have my car towed to the shop. I was having a really unlucky day, but they offered to help any way they could. Ralph even offered to have Tammy drive me back home while they worked on my car... And my home is 45 minutes away! Ralph & Tammy are incredibly genuine, personable, and they care for their customers. Would recommend to everyone!

I dont write reviews much b/c i think it does not do reflect fully the two sides of the coins per se but I do like to add my 2 pennies to what i experienced at Autocheck, First Colony. As a preface, it was the best experience overall.My car was making some strange sound that I couldnt make heads or tails of. Took it in and Jonathan even came out to greet me. I think he missed me. ;) At any rate, the car was put through the diagnostic ringer to sort out the problem. No luck. But i was given the assurance that is safe to drive.The service ringer called for 4 technicians ( masters) with the owner even involved. No cause or etiology that is possibly wrong. deduction could be that the bearings but then again, without any definitive diagnosis, Jonathan and Ralph, along with the technicians, agreed that best not do anything until something further can be deduced.I really appreciated their honesty and professionalism in helping me make sure that car is safe to drive on the road.Recommendations or referrals... most definitely. Ask for anything there and i am sure they will not steer you wrong. I give them a 5 start out of 5.I also personally texted Jonathan, which is captioned before.onathan: thanks so much for the help with the Mazda. Sorry to put you and your staff through the tasks but i really appreciate all of the efforts. I told the Mrs and she feels safer knowing you guys have put it through the ringer. I will do what you suggested and see if the noise is an issue mechanically. Then you will definitely see me again. Also it was nice to have a chat with Ralph too. Thanks. Came in for a routine inspection. Easy to make an appointment over the phone and work seemed good. Wouldve liked the employees to be wearing masks. This was a day before mask order went into place in Fort Bend. Customers were wearing masks though (yay!). Hopefully they have complied as well.

Been going to this location since 2010. Now that its under new Ownership they have upgraded their services. I would highly suggest going there for oil change, inspection, Alignment, troubling shooting issues. They have treated me with respect and gave me good guidance.
