SmartChoice Roofing Solutions was amazing from start to finish. Our church, St. Andrews Episcopal Church (Pearland, Texas), better known locally as The Pumpkin Church, suffered a destroyed roof from Hurricane Beryl (July 2024). Conner and his team came out and patched the holes right away. They also met with the insurance company when assessing the damage, and answered our many questions. They made us a high priority and finished the roof before our annual pumpkin patch. I know many people who have worked with SmartChoice Roofing Solutions. Every single one of them sings their praises. Now I can attest to their great work! I only wish I had better photos to share.

SmartChoice Roofing, a local Friendswood company, just completed re-roofing our home. Conner Newman was our project manager, and he was excellent to work with! Conner was very thorough, kept in constant touch before, during, and after the project, and he worked directly with TWIA to provide them the scope-of-work information they required.I would recommend SmartChoice without reservation to anyone needing roof repairs or replacement.

I interviewed and evaluated 9 roofing contractors before choosing Kyle and Dan, partner owners of Smart Choice Roofing. They may not be the oldest roofing company around but Id say they are one of the best to deal with. Kyle was thorough and professional from start to finish, on time, always answering all my texts and calls thru the process and although they werent the cheapest, after dealing with them, Id say I have no regrets choosing them for one of my largest out of pocket expenses yet on my home. Kyle had excellent reviews on Google, Angies List, Home Advisor and was BBB A+ rated and was the only one of 9 who presented a good, better, best package and explained the difference in product quality and pricing and also offered financing if needed. Never did I hear them say negative things about their competition products nor companies and they both always reassured me that they would be there for any issues and after the process, they delivered 100%. Dan was onsite the whole day assisting Guillermo and his crew as I watched also the entire day outside and they finished in one long day! They were on time and cleaned up very well you wouldnt know how much trash and loose nails were on the ground that day! The crew worked diligently start to finish taking care to protect our plants and surroundings and even checked my neighbors yards to make sure no loose debris went on their sides. They are listed on Owens Cornings website as preferred contractors and among all brands GAF, Certainteed, Tamko, and after researching these all, I selected them and their OC True Def Duration Shingles for my roof (check out Roofing Insights on YouTube when comparing what shingles to choose and see how thoroughly they put all the different brands to the test from granule loss to weight to wind and pressure resistance!). Only time will tell if the roof stands up well to the harsh elements and hurricanes in the Texas gulf coast but based on my own research and experience with this group, I can highly recommend them for any home roofing project and enjoy seeing my new roof each day. Ive had small minor adjustments made since install and they have come out to address my concerns. I will highly recommend them to friends and family for future roofing needs. Thank you Kyle and Dan.

While finalizing the sale of my house, the buyers inspector identified a couple of issues on the roof. I reached out to a couple of roofing companies and Dan at SmartChoice was the only one to come through for me. He was responsive from the beginning. He reviewed the report from the inspector - came and looked for himself, gave me some recommendations and a fair quote for the work that needed to be done. He was able to get me on the schedule and complete the work professionally and in the time he promised. Dan was friendly, professional and responsive...I would definitely recommend SmartChoice Roofing and I would also definitely use them again if needed!

After getting 5 different quotes I decided to go with them. Had the guys from Smart Choice Roofing come out and replace my entire roof which has a steep pitch and has flat torch down sections. They were very fast and professional. The roof looks amazing and the price was very reasonable-able. SmartChoice provided a detailed explanation on their process, materials, timeline and inspection. My house in Windsor Estates had a 19 year old roof. It is good piece of mind that we now have latest type of Owens Corning shingles. Their detailed work on the ridges looks solid. The post-install clean up and inspection with Kyle is an example why this company is better than the rest. You cant go wrong with them.

Couldnt be happier with SmartChoice! Not only were they the most competitive bid, they were on top of the entire process from getting a bid all the way through to clean up. Came on time, finished on time, and were great at communicating with me the entire time. Dan was awesome! He gave the original bid and was always present to ensure everything was done correctly. The crew was very professional and adaptive to us being there as they were busily completing their work. Lastly, Dan was able to make adjustments to the vents to add wire mesh to ensure the squirrels didnt get into the attic and also took on an extra task to calk and paint my chimney to restore it back its original condition (looks amazing!). The roof looks amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a new roof!

I appreciated that I wasn’t pressured while I sought out a variety of quotes from other companies. Kyle presented addresses for me to check out and also examples for shingle colors. My roof was completed in one day as promised by Kyle and when the job was finished, my property showed no evidence that they ever had been there. The roof is a stand out and really is beautiful. The owners are super friendly, professional, and responsive. I got quotes from a few other companies for a new roof and they all came in comparable. Smart Choice was the only company I spoke to that didnt sound condescending when talking to me. Kyle explained the whole process and all the materials so I would know what the quote included. The roof was done in a day. The crew was respectful and cleaned up so well afterward, that you wouldnt have even known they were here. Dan or Kyle were on site a lot (if not all) of the time. I have been using contractors for 30+ years, both personally and professionally. Smart Choice has been the best contractor experience, I have ever had. It started with the very professional representation from their sales rep - Mike Collins. The same professional experience was maintained all of the way through the roofing project. I had another offer that was about $200 cheaper. I have absolutely no regrets about the price differential. The positive experience was worth every penny. I would do it again tomorrow and never look back. If you are looking for a roof and don’t include Smart Choice, you are making a mistake!

Smart Choice Roofing was the last of 5 contractors to give a bid. I had requested 2 bids from each, one for repair and one for replacement. Mike from Smart Choice found a couple problems that none of the others had told us about. He gave us both quotes and explained the good/bad of both. After careful consideration we decided to use Smart Choice for a full replacement roof. The crew was friendly and worked very hard to get my roof replaced in one day. The roof is very pretty and I appreciate Mikes talking to us about a small additional cost (less than $100) to make the roof Wind Storm acceptable. I would recommend Smart Choice to anyone in need of a roof.

I would, and have, recommend Smart Choice Roofing for anyone looking to replace their roof. Steven was phenomenal. He was great at helping us pick out a shingle color and package that worked best for us. He was always a text away to answer our questions. We placed our order on a Friday and were scheduled for install the very next Monday. The crew knocked out the entire roof replacement in a single day and we have a large roof! The company’s warranty is also a lot better than other companies that we received bids from and their price is fair.

The roof was completed faster than I could blink an eye! The guys at Smart Choice were fantastic on our roof job. They did good work and even fixed more than what was on the original quote. There was no talk of additional fees, they just did the work when they found additional issues. After they were done, and for nothing other than good customer service, they helped us navigate the problems we had with our previous roofing repair company. SmartChoice came out again after their work was done at no extra charge, took even more pictures than they took before and during their work, and gave their opinion on the work that was done before them so that i could prove the previous companies shoddy work and hopefully get some compensation. The price they did the work for was 50% of what the previous company did and they did much more work. Cant speak more highly of my experience.

SmartChoice Roofing demonstrated from day one they were interested in the best way to repair, while using quality parts and service without needing to figure out every quality decision for myself. A solid and effective company like them so close to Friendswood can be hard to find these days.Originally I had called to get a quote on gutter tune up, and to replace rotten section of our soffit. While doing an inspection Dan Modesett recommended several other suggestions that would fix other unknown problem areas causing this. The best park is that their quote was in line with other companies who hadn’t suggested the additional repairs.Dan and his team of workers arrived on time and attacked the project quickly and thoroughly. Ultimately during they also replace a section of the underlayment and shingle at roof leak, and found few other concerns while preforming a water test on gutter system. The paint was matched perfectly, and they even added a few extra trim pieces to the gutter system not originally listed on the quote.I’m happy to share my experience for the good of all. Quality deserves to be rewarded especially in this day and age. Give them a chance to bid, trust that their bid will be honest and all encompassing. I had some bad leaks in my roof as a result of the heavy rain from tropical storm Beta last month. I reached out to several roofers in the Pearland TX area and Smart Choice was the first to respond - within a couple hours, they had put a temporary cover over the leaks on the roof to stop any further damage. That was a lifesaver as the rain continued after that for several more hours that day. I had them come back a week or so later to complete repairs. Id highly recommend these guys for any roof work you need done

I had gutters installed by another company and they totally botched the job, damaging my trim and drip edge as well as having the gutters press up into my shingles. I called Smartchoice as well as a few others.
