I did have an initial hiccup with some mold in the vents and the air conditioner not working. Thankfully, the issues were all resolved thoroughly. Other than that, I really enjoy living here. Kitchen has so much counter space for cooking and rooms have great layouts. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to move, but make sure to call the office whenever you have a major maintenance issue.

The Barracks has been my home for the last 3 years. My time here has been great except for the freeze of 2021, those were some truly dark times. However, the Barracks management group were always kind and I liked the fact that they organized events that were extremely fun. Also, having free access to The Cove on a hot summer day was truly a thing of beauty. Thank you Barracks team for everything. I am leaving here as a A&M graduate and I couldn’t thank y’all enough.

I had the pleasure to sign my lease here at the barracks for two years in a row with Mallory Smith. She is the girl to go to!!! She does a great job at answering any questions or concerns you may have throughout the leasing process and the barracks in general. I absolutely love it here and couldn’t see myself living anywhere else. Spacious rooms and overall a great community. 13/10 recommend.

Overall, my experience living at the Barracks has been really good. The landscaping is kept up nicely, and our house was in good condition with any maintenance request being addressed. The only complaints are the trash situation could be better with trash always being in our yard, and we have had some issues with neighbors parking in our spots.

I have loved living here for the past 2 years and would recommend anybody I know to live here. The staff is so nice and the houses are very large. There is also tons of places to walk and the cove is very fun. There are also tons of events happening every week. I will be sad to leave when I graduate!

Amazing place to live as a college student. They provide quick and excellent maintenance whenever it is needed. They also host a number of fun, free events throughout the year for everyone in the barracks. On top of it all, they also frequently do resident appreciation weeks where they just give back to the residents. (For example, free cfa monday, i think they did like spas on tuesday, etc. And almost every, if not all, thursdays they do free sonic drinks.)Best place to live. Highly recommend.

The Barracks rocks!! The neighborhood is awesome, management is great, and the maintenance team is fantastic!! Davis and Tim helped us with a few things around the house which made all of the difference in our living experience. I’ve lived at the Barracks for two years now, and it is wonderful! My roommates and I love going to the cove and watching the wakeboarders from our balcony. They even have dog parks and a pond that my dog loves going to. Maintenance is always fast and efficient, and management is great! They offer fun contests throughout the year and free sonic drinks each Thursday. Gage was super helpful with answer all of my questions. i love living at the barracks!

The Barracks are the perfect balance of affordable and luxurious! The rooms are great, staff is fantastic and the atmosphere is exactly what I am looking for in a college town home.They have an awesome fitness facility for anyone who doesnt want to use the crowded Rec and the grounds are well kept.No complaints here! Love living here. the townhomes are super nice and comfortable. you would think for how nice the inside and outside is that the price would be outrageous, or as high as the surrounding places but the rent is the lowest I have seen for living conditions that are this nice. I have never had to deal with management but every time I have had to go to the office the staff has been friendly and helpful. Any minor problems I have had have been fixed rather quickly. lots of construction but what can you expect from a developing area.

This place has been a great place to live. I have never had any problems with management and there hasn’t been anything to complain about. If you go in for a walkthrough of a model home make sure you ask for Ernest. He was a great representative for the Barracks! He was able to help us find a place to live in this community and showed us all the great amenities the Barracks has to offer!

Super excited to live at the Barracks in the fall! Zach is the best and so cool and he always answered our questions honestly! He was very welcoming and even stayed 45 minutes after closing to help us with the leasing process!!! I 100% recommend seeing Zach if you have any questions and if you want to have a fun tour! Although I am slightly biased because I do work here... however I also live here and it is by far the best housing I have stayed in during my 7 years of living in College Station. You can definitely see the growth in management and the extent that they take to make the residents feel loved and appreciated! For it being an actual neighborhood, the amenities are exceptional with 2 well kept dog parks, awesome sand volleyball courts, an outdoor gym, and of course the only wakeboard cable lake within a 70 mile radius.

At first the house we moved into was left in bad condition by previous tenants, but as soon as we called The Barracks office and told them what was wrong, they immediately fixed it! It made out move in so much easier. They offer so many events you can when prizes at and so much more. Defiantly recommend them when you first move out to CSTAT

I’ve had difficulty with unreasonable and even rude staff at different places in the past, but I have been really impressed with the quality of customer service here! I interacted with Geovani (didn’t catch his last name) specifically, who was so helpful and personable the whole time. It makes SUCH a difference. Much better than my last place, here’s hoping it continues this way!

Okay so this is coming from a completely self-sufficient college student. I honestly like it here. You will NOT find a better looking place with space like what the Barracks offers. Trust me. I looked. A lot. Its a bit pricey for some (however I had a two bedroom so that could be why), but you get what you pay for, and Im broke af and still manage. 4 bedrooms are priced well. Great housing...period. I dont know what some people are saying, management works fine to me (also many people only post reviews to complain and this place is still rated high). Only issue would be that sometimes the utility services try to screw you, but thats not really the Barracks fault. The utility company is the same city-wide. I do wish that sewage was factored into rent like most places. I dont have problems with theft (most people here seem like spoiled rich kids so why would they steal?). Close, accessible parking (you understand how important this is if you park on campus, trust me). Once you live here, its hard to go to other places. They just arent as great.

As a Barracks Townhome owner, I have to thank Drew Jefferies and the entire Barracks Management staff for their support for the last 5 years. I worked with Drew to purchase 10 townhomes in 2016. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Since I live in Colorado, having a rock like Drew and the rest of the management staff to call upon when needed was vital for me. They were always there to assist and answer any questions I would have. Most recently, I worked with Drew again, this time to sell our properties. He formulated a strategy and implemented a plan with best practices for the sale of each townhome. We could not be more pleased with the results he was able to garner for us. I highly recommend Drew for your townhome purchase or sale. Finally, I would like to personally thank Ronnie, Crystal, and Gage for their support and help on the management side for the last 5 years. They diligently looked our for investment and I cannot thank you all enough!

If you love your dog the Barracks should be where you call home. The pet deposit is reasonable and they have two dog parks. My dog and I have never been happier. The staff is always smiling and Kyle has maintenance on point. It will be sad graduating and moving out.

The town homes themselves are very nice, high quality and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful and the grounds are well kept. The kitchens are beautiful and rent is very fairly priced.However, the parking situation for four bedroom units is less than ideal. There are only 3 unobstructed parking spots per four bedroom unit, therefore the fourth tenant has to constantly move their vehicle for the 3 tenants parked in spots. General Parkway also has a bike lane which prohibits parking for residents on that street, and the lane is practically useless since it only runs the length of this street. Bikers rarely use it since they would be limited to biking this street or biking on 2818, Holleman with a 60mph speed limit, and Wellborn which is inaccessible to bikes. Residents are regularly ticketed for parking in front of their own homes due to a bike lane that is rarely used. It is incredibly frustrating to be barred from parking in front of your own residence due to a poorly located bike lane and have no other options.

Amazing housing in College station. The amenities and spacious townhomes are a must for any college student or anyone wanting to live comfortably. With staff like Crystal Lewis administrating and diligently making sure everything is up to a higher standard in the townhomes. I will expect a high standard of management from my future housing landlords or apartments managers. Plus with the BearX being walking distance from many of the townhomes. It almost feels like living in an all inclusive resort.
