My wife and I decided to build our retirement home and found the perfect community in the Hill Country. After many conversations and much research, we settled on the Texas Living Homes team to be our builder. I can’t stress enough what a great decision that was! Jennifer Hyde and her team guided us through the entire process with great communication, advice and attention to detail. From taking advantage of Jennifer’s experience as an interior designer then home designer then builder, she advised us throughout the entire process on how exactly to make this our true dream home. The entire process went exactly as she described it would in our initial meeting and her responsiveness when challenges arose was absolutely unbelievable. From the fit and finish of the home to quality of the craftsmanship - the entire team was amazing. By far, the most pain free home building experience of our lives (this was our 5th home build) - we can’t recommend Jennifer and the Texas Living Homes team strongly enough!!

Having built four custom homes across the country I can reliably say that designing our retirement home with Texas Living Homes was incredibly easy. Making the numerous external and internal design choices was drastically simplified due to the partnership we felt with Texas Living Homes, owner/builder Jennifer Hyde, and her incredible design studio in San Antonio. Jennifer fostered us throughout this process, from external product and color selections down to and including cabinet hardware. Might I add that she has impeccable taste, but she was able to tailor that talent to match our needs and wants. The construction process and timeline were provided to us immediately upon home design approval. Jennifer delivered each milestone in the timeline on or ahead of schedule. Our home was completed one month ahead of the projected completion date. Jennifer and her team were incredibly responsive to the few minor adjustments that we identified upon move-in.My husband and I have never experienced the communication, quality of project, design expertise, and workmanship Texas Living Homes provided. In a word, TRUST. Trust that they will deliver the home of your dreams, on time, and within budget.

We met Jennifer a few years ago when she had a home in the Comanche Trace Parade of Homes. She took pride in the home she built. We knew we wanted her to build our next home. Fast forward to the summer of 2023 when we started the building process with Jennifer and her team. You don’t realize how many design decisions there are until you go to the design center. This wasn’t our first time to build new construction, and it’s still overwhelming. Thank goodness Jennifer came along to to the design center. We thought to ourselves “ what builder does this”? With her design expertise, we knew our selections not only reflected what we wanted, but they also made good design sense. We didn’t live in Kerrville while the house was being built. We didn’t have to worry about checking on the house daily because Jennifer had it covered. The timeline for the build was earlier than we expected and right on budget. Texas Living Homes motto is “value, quality, pride”. Jennifer needs to add “integrity” to the motto. In today’s world it’s hard to find that trait in a construction or service company. We appreciate that Jennifer does what she says she is going to do. Another thing that sets her apart from other builders is that she really listens to her clients and gives constructive feedback. We would definitely recommend Texas Living Homes to any one looking for a new home. We would not hesitate use Jennifer and her team again.

We selected Texas Living Homes to build our custom dream home because of their excellent reputation of being on-time and on-budget. We found that to be the case for us. Other builders seem to struggle with supply chain and subcontractor issues, delaying the home completion. Texas Living Homes went above and beyond to stay on-time and on-budget in spite of a very trying time for homebuilders. Jennifer Hyde recommended an excellent architect for the type of custom home we wanted. The architect took our vision and made a beautiful design that Texas Living Homes made a reality for us. Jennifer Hyde guided us through the selection process throughout the building process. When our window company was hit by a tornado, she quickly pivoted to another supplier and got the windows delivered on time! Similarly, when our flooring company went out of business she helped us with a good substitute, again keeping our build on-time! The construction management was responsive and communicated well. We heartily recommend Texas Living Homes for building custom homes.

To say the least our overall experience in dealing with Texas Living Homes was outstanding! From our very first meeting with Jennifer Hyde to the completion of the project, we just couldn’t have asked for a better customer experience. Jennifer exuded confidence and extensive knowledge, which put our minds at ease. In the early design phase of our home, Jennifer shared her design expertise, helping us to make all the necessary selections needed to start the project. While building the house, we were consistently informed of progress and timelines. Any questions we had were addressed in a timely manner. Never did we feel anxious or uncertain. Texas Living Homes drove the project plan and kept us abreast of it as needed. Upon closing and move in, we were pleasantly surprised with the thorough orientation provided on our new home. Jennifer, Larry Brown, and team went out of their way to explain and educate us on all of the features of the home. Even in an unprecedented times, the Texas Living Homes team delivered the home of our dreams on budget and within agreeable timelines!

Jennifer Hyde and Texas Living Homes is a high quality home builder that should be considered by any looking to build a home in the Texas hill country. In 2023, Texas Living Homes built our home in Kerrville, Texas. Construction took about seven months and the home was delivered on time and on budget. Jennifer Hyde is the owner of Texas Living Homes. There are a lot of positives that can be said about Jennifer and Texas Living Homes and here are a few.Jennifer is very dedicated to her craft. Our first meeting with Jennifer was not at an office but, at her request, on our lot. Details are very important to Jennifer and collecting them started on day one. She also took the time to understand our vision for the home, and worked with us extensively on important exterior and interior design elements. The attention to detail that Jennifer exhibited left us very confident that we had selected a homebuilder we could trust.Jennifer is also a very talented home builder and designer. Her homes embrace the hill country, incorporate energy efficient elements important to this climate, and utilize sturdy modern construction practices. She also struck a delicate balance with us between working with us on key design elements and handling more detailed items herself. In other words, we weren’t overwhelmed by dozens of daily decisions. Finally, Jennifer doesn’t leave after the construction is complete. To this day, she continues to help us with home related issues and has even helped us with contractors not responsible to her.

Having never built a home before, we were quite nervous about doing so, especially since we lived 800 miles away. Thankfully we selected Texas Living Homes and Jennifer Hyde to build our new home in the Texas Hill Country. From start to finish the process was about as painless and positive as we could imagine. Her design process included making ALL selections of items the house would encompass; including appliances, plumbing fixtures, doors, cabinetry, handles, knobs, specialty build items, windows, roof style, paint colors, wood trim, lighting, flooring, and about anything else you could think of. A total price was agreed upon, which negated the hassle of myriad “allowances”, which often are insufficient and seem to drive the price up noticeably. The builder also adhered diligently to her timeline, and the house was delivered on time and on budget. The whole process was actually a very pleasant experience for us, which was a welcome surprise. The entire TLH team was quite professional, they built a high quality home within the budget and timeline, and they were easy to deal with. What’s not to like about that.

We highly recommend Jennifer and the team at Texas Living Homes if you are considering a home build. From the moment I first spoke with her on the phone and our first face to face meeting, we knew she was the one for us. Very attentive to details and we could tell she had a solid command of her schedule and what she could deliver, which was saying something since we were still at the tail end of the challenges posed by the pandemic. We also did our project while living in another state, so we had to have full confidence in our builder. I love details and wish I could have been at the construction site every week, but living out of state just didnt allow for that. Jennifer did great to keep us updated on progress, send along pics from time to time and keep us well apprised of everything. While working with our architect on the plans, Jennifer had good input on some of the elements and choices we were picking, then at our day at the design center with her, she also had some great input on our choices. It was a gift to have a builder who understood both sides of the process (construction capabilities and design elements). After we got our pricing and her timeline, we moved forward, signed our contract, and she and her team were off. She was absolutely true to her schedule for final completion. When we were able to move into the house, it was so much better than we even dreamed it would be. We knew Jennifer did quality work as we had seen some of her projects in process when we first met, but we can honestly say she doesnt do anything half way. From the materials she uses to the finished work, it is all top notch. Even some of the things that other builders may use low grade items for she uses quality ones. For example the mechanicals that we sometimes forget about when we focus on fit and finish are all fantastic and well selected by Jennifer such as the the tankless water heater, the HVAC system, garage openers, etc. Just know if you build a home (with any builder) there will be things that pop up during construction, like supply issues, weather delays and such. Be ready for it, but know that when the few small things popped up during our project, they were all handled well and she still stayed on the timeline. And one other small but important detail is how clean they keep their job sites. It may sound insignificant, but when I visited once during construction, I was impressed how clean the site was, which to me just speaks to her attention to all the details.Upon move in, she and her team were still super attentive to make sure all was good. The few items on our punch list were addressed as quickly as possible. Her right hand guy, Larry, was involved during construction as well, but was super great to help get any and all punch list items taken care of. Everyone we came in contact with whether it was Jennifer, Larry, others on their team, or even the sub contractors they used, they were all polite and professional. Worthy of a 5 star rating
