When my husband was relocated for a job to the RGV he met with Marilyn Hardison as a realtor to find a home to buy. She took him around and showed him a few areas we might be interested in. When I joined my husband in Deep South Texas from Central PA, we looked again. We were adamant we wanted to live in Edinburg, but Marilyn knew what we were looking for & found it for us. She said just come and see it, the house was in N. McAllen. Even though my husband was out of the area on business, I went with Marilyn to view the house. It felt like Home. I sent pictures to my husband and did a video walk-through and we didnt wait to make an offer, he signed the papers for the house at the airport, based on pictures and Marilyns recommendations. Marilyn was well educated in the different styles homes, tile, lighting, and brand names of plumbing fixtures. We lived in our home, until my husbands next career move came along. When it came time to find a realtor to sell our home, we went straight to Marilyn! She asked us not to place the home for sale until we were ready to vacate. After we packed our moving truck and had the home professionally cleaned, we placed the house on the market. Marilyn had all the right tools to showcase our home on various platforms, resulting in increased amounts of scheduled showings, resulting in multiple offers above asking, selling our house in January at a short 3 days. We bought our house here in the Valley in 2020, but after our job led us to Florida we called Logan to help us transplant our life. We loved the area, we were right in the middle of Sharyland ISD with everything we needed around us. I could tell that we were not the only ones to think that because our house sold almost instantly! We ended up getting to know the new buyers a bit and felt like they were good to take over. They told us it would be their first home so we were happy for them. If we could have stayed in Mission it would’ve been great but life threw us a curveball! Couldn’t have asked for a better realtor.

I rented a house from them and couldn’t complain too much. It was exactly what I needed and after going back and forth on a couple rental requirements, they were able to get me in. I have a little dog and they took a couple of days to see if the landlord was ok with her. They were very responsive though and let me know that they couldn’t get a hold of the owner. Overall I got in a house that I’m happy with.

I cannot say how happy we were with Karla! She did not have an easy task of selling our home due to a lot of factors. Although we had a beautiful big property for sale it was not in the best location and it had solar panels. Biggest challenge of all for any realtor. It took a little bit longer because of this but every step of the way Karla was a champion in truly calling me and letting me know and keeping me updated as to what we could or could not do to promote this house. She was the backbone to negotiating on our behalf and always keeping our best interest a priority. At one desperate point of the sale I had wanted to lower the price to attract more viewings. She stopped me and encouraged me to wait and be patient. And she was right. Within that same week the viewings started coming in. One of those viewings ended up being the buyer to our property. She helped us stick to our guns and we sold the property at the price we wanted and negotiated everything we needed to for our solar panels. One of the things she always said to me to encourage me was that she knew the right buyer was out there for our home and that kept us going. So THANK YOU Karla for being not only a great and awesome realtor but a truly good friend to me when I was giving up. And for taking it in stride and putting up with us and all our suggestions feedback and demands. You took it like the champion that you are . 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

You will never do wrong with Star Properties. We working with a wonderful woman and realtor named Tracie Nicks. We couldnt have asked for a more knowledgeable realtor. She answered so many questions for us. Im sure we werent easy to work with. I went to her knowing I wanted a certain house, sure I gave her several houses we should look at.When we walked into my chosen house, I told her I didnt need to see more. That was my house. She helped us put the offer in. She waited along side us to hear a response. Countered, she called me. Recountered them, wait,wait some more, accepted.Inspection, pest inspection too, finally the appraisal. The appraisal took forever, at least it felt that way, and came in 20k under offer.Back to the listing agent Tracie went. Pointing out that the appraisal the seller was using to list the house, while newly done, was not a buyers inspection appraisal. It was for tax purposes only and we had not had an opportunity to offer comps to the appraiser.Seller agreed to come down to appraised value. Tracie was so excited for us, we got our house in the end. Even with issues with the survey and title, she helped us all the way through it.I cant say enough good things about her or Star. I consider them my friends.
