During our first meeting with her, we were deciding whether to sell or rent our home since we were moving out of state. Cristina helped us lay out the two scenarios, and to our surprise, didnt flat out recommend selling the home. She provided comps for both scenarios, walked through recommendations, etc.After we ultimately decided to sell, she and her team were organized, communicative, and offered stellar recommendations to help us sell the home quickly. Cristina and her team recently helped me and my sister sell our mom’s house. If anyone tries to tell you having a realtor isn’t worth it, don’t listen! There was so much to do to get the house ready to sell, and we never would’ve been able to get through it all without Cristina and her team. They made it as easy as possible for us to do the necessary updates, get all the forms and information we needed, and just cross all those Ts and dot all those Is. They were on top of everything, always available if we had questions, and just delightful to work with. And, the house sold, at asking price, within a few days of being on the market, which was great for us. Can’t recommend highly enough.15/10

I was surprised when Realty Austin asked me to review my wonderful agent, Cristina Valdes. I would have thought that by this time in her career the positive accolades and endorsements would have been so numerous as to negate the need to add more! But in the interest of letting others know what they could be experiencing, I complied with their request.When I decided to sell my house several years ago, I interviewed several agents. All of them were qualified and knowledgeable enough, but Cristina stood out. Rather than spend our meeting selling herself, her focus was on LISTENING to my needs and my expectations.Using her experience, she calmly and professionally applied her vast knowledge of the ever- changing Central Texas market and guided me through every small step of the way. No question was ever too insignificant to her, and my previous knowledge was always considered. Along with the solid back-up of her team, Cristina makes her client feel like they are the only one she is working for. I never once doubted that she and her team had my back. Again, that rare Good Listener skill at work!Working with Cristina means working with a reliable array of (reasonably priced) professionals - inspectors, roofers, plumbers were there to provide information on the homes in question, when the need arose. Wow!!! Cristina and her team, Marianne and Amelia, were amazing. It took us over a year to actually decide to put our home on the market. Christina never pushed us to decide too soon. In fact, she wanted us to make sure we were ready to make that decision. When we did decide to sell, Cristina and Team were with us all the way. Their suggestions for readying the house were exactly what needed to happen. When we were looking to find a new place, they were flexible and quick to respond to go look at new places. I have now worked with Cristina on 3 transactions: she helped me purchase my first home 6 years ago, then helped me find a new place and sell the other one this year. There are two important things to know about Cristina: she knows her stuff (like REALLY knows it) and she is an educator at heart. I knew nothing about purchasing a home and she guided me through every step, teaching me at every turn so that I could make the best possible decision. She is patient and positive, and she kept my hopes alive when I thought I would NEVER find the right place. She was right, eventually we found the perfect home and Cristina wrote an offer that put us at the front of the pack. In fact, the woman who sold us the home was a realtor, and she told us there were a lot of offers, and that we got the house because Cristina put together an offer that no one could compete with. I have trusted her with all of my real estate transactions and will continue to as long as I’m in Austin. I would recommend her to anyone – she is absolutely one of the best. Still, I had lots of questions and was in search of a trustworthy expert who could inform my decision making and share new perspectives. It helped Cristina had been referred to me by a friend - so I had an endorsement already!Cristina was SO fast moving and helped us secure an offer on our dream house in a 12 hour turnaround. I cannot imagine a better real estate agent than Cristina Valdes. Cristina was with us every step of the way as we sold our old house and bought a new one this spring. She educated us on financing, ultimately helping us figure out the best, safest way to buy our new house before selling our old one, and how to time all of that. (She was also ready to advise us if wed decided to keep our house as a rental. Shes educated on it all!) I think its also important to note that she made a point of checking back in later to ask what our experience had been like with the bank before she continued recommending it to other clients. She also connected us to an amazing local lender who got us a great deal on our loan. In addition to all of this, she and her wonderful assistant Marianne kept us on track with SO MANY DETAILS and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. She held our hand through our various inspections and pre-inspections and advised us on what to fix and not fix, and which vendors to use (all of whom were STELLAR). The stager she used for our old house did an incredible job and I know its a big part of why our house sold so quickly. In addition to all of this, I believe in Cristina as a human being with deep values. I cherish her approach to life and work and look forward to working with her again in the future.
