I randomly chose Pope & Pena only Because Pena is my mothers maiden name and it turned out to be a great decision on my part. I live in California and ran into problem selling a parcel of land my mother purchased in MacAllen ears ago. The county records showed that my mother was the owner of the parcel and paid yearly property taxes on it for years but when we went to sell it we couldnt because my mother never sighned the deed and returned it to the county records. With no deed on record we could not sell the parcel and No one at the city, county, or state of Texas could help me resolve the problem. After countless hours on the phone with city,county, and state. I contacted Pope and Pena. Although it took over a year and a half do to Covid, we got every thing in order and recently sold the parcel. POPE AND PENA went above and beyond the call of duty to make this happen and I realized I could not have chosen a better firm to help me on this matter and cant say enough good thing about their consistent professionalism and patience in helping my mother generate and record a physical deed so we could finally sell it. I can honestly say that Mr. Pope treats everyone equally. And most important with respect. He is very professional. Am thankful to have a lawyer like him that cares for his clients. Specifically when you are going thru a really tough year. Like me that I started my year with my dad in the hospital. Shortly after that my father went in to a coma. For a month and 16 days I drove every day 2 hours away to see my father every day. Sometimes I would stay to sleep in the hospital. But every day I drove in fear because I had a warrant. I was afraid to get arrested while my dad was sick. I also quit my job to sleep every day with my dad. In the hospital because my dad was in his last moments. In March my father passed away. Yesterday I had court and I was worried but everything went well. Mr. Pope was there to represent me. And even tho he didnt know what I was going thru. I just want say thank you for the good person that you are Mr. Pope.
