As first-time homebuyers, we were a little anxious at the seemingly overwhelming process of buying a home—especially considering how crazy the markets have reportedly been. To make matters worse, my wife and I were half a world apart throughout the process -due to a military deployment with occasional email connectivity as our only form of communication. With limited information on the market in Corpus Christi, we knew that a successful closing was going to be solely because we vetted a high-octane real estate agent that knows the market and has the heart of a teacher towards newbies like us. That’s where Matthew from the KB team came into play. We were given a strong recommendation for Matthew by a friend and it turned out to be an excellent decision for us to go with him. Matthew was committed to finding the right house for us from the very start. Through the entire process and even after, he never failed to deliver accurate information and provide timely results on anything from checking in on inspection fixes, to making contract amendments, to coordinating other random odds and ends. I was particularly impressed with his ability to guide us through the process of putting in a strong offer while at the same time keeping enough distance to allow my wife and I to make decisions that would be best for our situation. He provided information and experience without pressure. This ultimately led to both offers we placed being accepted. Even after closing, Matthew continues to check up on us and our new home since we have not yet landed in Corpus Christi due to military constraints. This is a sure testament to his character and his commitment to excellence in his trade. Matthew and the KB team receive my highest recommendation for anyone’s home-buying needs!
