    My wife and I started our First Time Homebuyer excursion back in December of 2021. To keep that piece of it brief, we were chewed up and spit out. Fast-forward to December of 2023, we think we are ready but are scared to death about starting all of this up again and getting kicked back out with never achieving the dream of having our own home. I had watched this Realtor lady, named Audra, kicking a$$ and taking names in the Social Media Scene. I took a breath and sent a message. Little did I know, in that moment, we were about to have the very BEST Realtor AND more importantly... HOME BUYING ADVOCATE on our side helping us achieve our dream of being homeowners!!We looked at a few homes and decided pretty quickly that they were not for us. Audra took initiative to start realizing what we were looking for. We came across a home, went and took a look, fell in love instantly. Audra immediately started the tough part of making sure we ended up getting what we wanted out of it. The ball was rolling and MAN, it was rolling fast!!! The Sellers accepted our offer and okd all that we had asked Audra to ask them for and more! We were so thankful she was there to answer any of our questions and settle any of our worries.My wife and I decided that if anything came up to turn us away, then we would just have to accept that it wasnt in the cards for us. A few weeks into verifying everything with the Lender to close, there was a BIG BLIP! Due to no fault of our own, but a system issue on the Lenders side, Audra immediately jumped into action with exactly TWO WEEKS until closing!!!! She told us to trust her, shifted gears with the most agility I have EVER seen! She contacted another Lender and we forwarded everything over saying that they had spoken to Audra and know the entirety of our situation and are here to help us. We were a little discouraged, but looking back... shouldnt have been with Audra at the wheel. We not only got a better locked in rate, a lower monthly payment, but also lower cash to close costs!!Like my dad and grandfather have always loved to say.. to make a long story short... after just giving you literally one of the longest stories EVER... we closed on our home last Friday and accomplished our dream!!! We have to give credit where credit is due! I honestly and truly believe that this wouldnt have happened for us without 1) God and His plan 2) Audra Fowler and 3) the new mortgage lender that we went through!If you ever are defeated and think that this is something that will not ever happen for you or you have had a bad experience or two with trying to purchase a home of your own... there is one person that you can definitely go to.     My wife and I were wanting to protest the appraisal amount that Ellis County put on our home in Midlothian but we had no idea how to go through the process. Audra Fowler was highly recommended by other people who live in our area who had protested their home appraisals. My wife and I contacted her and she was very helpful!
