We were first time home buyers and she educated us on everything there is to know about buying your first home and was there every step of the way. I bought and sold a house with Janet. She goes above and beyond for her clients. I was always able to reach out and ask questions day or night and she would always get me an answer. She even helped me deal with the construction company that kept destroying my property as they were building next to my land. Janet is such a kind and compassionate woman! During my time as her client I always felt more like I was her friend than her client. Thank you Janet for EVERYTHING you have done to get my house sold!

1 / 1April 4, 2024In the fall of 2021, my husband and I were making plans to relocate from the Dallas area to San Angelo. We inquired about a realtor we could use and trust and without hesitation, Janet Ridgway was the recommended name. We contacted her and from the first of many phone conversations, she was super charged to meet our housing needs. Her friendly and cheerful disposition won us over.After listening to what we wanted, Janet asked additional questions to be able to identify some houses in which we might be interested. For our convenience, Janet promptly sent us a list of homes to look at electronically and set up appointments for us to see them in person.Janet worked with our schedule to show us those houses and more, based on our comments and further realizations of what we thought we wanted. Her time was spent as if we were her only clients, which we obviously were not. Janet seemed to always be available for us and always had an answer to our questions. She cultivated an engaging relationship demonstrating that what mattered to us mattered to her.After touring many, many homes all over the San Angelo area, we still had not found exactly what we wanted, or we lost out in the ‘bidding war’ that was going on at the time. A few weeks later, several events had occurred within Janet’s purview. Knowing our situation, she called us with a house that she thought we would love and an idea and that worked out in our favor. After a virtual tour of the house, she arranged for us to see it in person. Her instincts were accurate. We purchased that house in January 2022 and have since made it our home.When it came time to move, Janet offered a large truck that she and her husband, Tom owned and lent to customers like my husband and myself, free of charge. What a nice bonus!Buying a house long-distance can be stressful. Why are there not more Janets in the world?I was able to buy my new home without having to be in the area. My girls are students in the area and were my proxy for viewing houses. They contacted Janet about viewing one of her listings. Janet treated them as serious buyers and took them around to look at multiple homes (not just her listings) based on what we needed. The way she treated my girls was enough for me to change my realtor and start working with Janet.
