I met Matt in 2019, 3 months into having my license when I met with a potential client and him to go over deals. I showed up in a suit with my tie in my pocket which was what the brokerage I was with demanded and is not Austins style with CRE owners (You show up to lunch in a polo). During the meeting I made it known that I didnt like the commercial brokerage I was with because they took a huge percentage (75% company 25% agent) and didnt really provide much. I told them I was looking for a bare bones brokerage where I got to keep as much money for myself as possible. Matt suggested a deal that I thought was a slip of a tongue so I shook his hand on the spot to hold him to it. It was clear that it was all on me from the get go. So that week I switched brokerages and stopped going to the fancy office and worked from home. That was terrible because I was living with a bunch of loud roommates and couldnt really work there. So I call Matt and he classically answers his first ring and I tell him whats up and he right away has some office space I can use for free, no change to the deal.That has pretty much been the story since. I call Matt with a question hell have an answer or someone who will. Ill call needing a certain random type of contact and hell know 3 people for it. One of the many valuable things that Matt brings is his incredibly large network which he opens to you freely.The other large value driver that TRE brings is they have a very encouraging mindset to push yourself to do better and to not have any limiting beliefs.If you are considering starting in RE give them a call. If youve thought your brokerage looks at you as a profit center rather than a partner give them a call. The list goes on. Ive been here for 2.5 years and havent had a single problem. They understand that by elevating others you elevate yourself.
