John Rodriguez was such a great construction superintendent and was fantastic at every step of the way. The communication from John and the team was unmatched from start to finish. Thank you for everything you have done for our Austin ADU!!

The Southerly team has been amazing from the first visit to their office to the completion of our build. The communication is top notch. They provided weekly updates and we always knew what to expect next. John Rodriguez, our project manager, was on site a ton to ensure things were done right and the job site kept clean. He answered every text or call in a timely manner and just an all around good guy! I would 100% hire Southerly for a build project again. Thank you SO much Southerly team for building our home!

I would give Southerly more than 5 stars if I could! We purchased a property with the intent to build a custom home, we met with a handful of builders and felt Southerly set themselves apart from other custom home builders - for many reasons but mostly because they truly listened to us, took every idea we had and showed us ways to make it happen! Nick and Josh came to our property and talked through different concepts. They discussed ideas we never would have thought of (positioning of the house, features to enhance the property, etc). We truly had no idea what we were in for when we purchased the property so we entered into a consulting agreement with Southerly. We spent about a year trying to find a concept that could work for the uniqueness of the property. Nick and Josh were so patient with us and were willing to answer all of my questions (even if it was a bit outside their scope or if it was a question I had already asked several times - and forgotten the answer to). To the credit of Southerly they presented several options for a house that met all of our criteria (including budget) and would have been amazing. However, due to concerns we had with the property itself (not the future build), we ultimately decided not to build a home. Telling Nick we had decided not to move forward with a build was really hard news to deliver, but as he had always been, he was very kind and professional. We had found a home that was already built - Nick spent time talking to us about the builder and even walked through the home with us to give us his professional opinions. I feel like I could go on and on about how great Southerly was. I wish it would have been in the cards for us to move forward with a custom build but it wasnt. However, anyone I know that is looking to custom build will be referred to Southerly and if in the future we decide to build, we will only have to make one call - and that is to Southerly!

We are so grateful we were connected with Southerly Homes (through our architect) when we remodeled our home. I strongly recommend this builder, and would work with them again if/when we have future renovation / home building needs. From the first meeting, we knew that Nick and Josh (owners) were knowledgeable and very experienced when it came to building a home. They cared about our project and our satisfaction with the quality of the work, and experience from start to end. We had reached out to other contractors/builders but didnt feel like wed be valued as a customer. We appreciated the weekly communication / progress updates. We ended up with many change orders along the way (which is not ideal) but they supported us in these decisions and even made a few recommendations (i.e. insulating the garage, and an outlet for a garage fridge/freezer) which we appreciated. Amber, who helps with design among many other aspects of the business was a great communicator and helped order all the lights, toilets, faucets, etc.). Her attention to detail and design experience was so needed. She partnered with us in decision making and gave pros and cons for certain products to help us make an informed decision. Overall, we are very satisfied with our home. THe owners of Southerly Homes are trustworthy and knowledgeable in this field. Highly recommend!!

Despite my decision to pause the process due to current industry rates, I cannot understate the value of Daniels expertise and the support provided by Southerly Homes.Daniels industry knowledge has been invaluable in helping me navigate the complexities of custom home construction. While I may have temporarily halted my plans, I have every intention of resuming the process with Southerly Homes once the industry rates become more favorable.I highly recommend Southerly Homes to anyone considering building a custom home in the Austin area. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction make them an excellent choice for anyone embarking on the journey of building their dream home.

Ive known Nick Quijano, the co-CEO/Owner, for over 15 years. He gave me some great real estate advice this year when it came to selling my house. His connections in real estate and development run deep in the Austin area given all his years of experience. I would highly recommend hiring him to help buy, sell, or build your next house.

Southerly was a great builder to work with. We did a 11 month project that added a 2nd story and remodeled the first story. We were VERY pleased with the outcome and both the schedule and cost estimates were very accurate. Most importantly they were easy to work with, communicated very well, even with challenges we had to overcome, and we felt like they were on our team with our best interests at heart. I would strongly recommend them.

Southerly Homes handled our office remodel and build out and was great to work with. They were professional, responsive, and did a great job from start to finish. Nick did a great job communicating updates and making sure that the job was done correctly. Southerly Homes finished up the job ahead of schedule, and were constantly receiving compliments about the quality of work they did. It’s not often that you finish up a project like that and would readily do it again, but we are that happy with the finished product and Southerly Homes was that easy to work with.

Southerly Homes is absolutely the best! I am wanting to build on my land and contacted Nick for consulting services. He was very responsive and extremely knowledgeable about all of my home building questions. I was able to ask him about financing, materials, design, timeline, architecture plans, market trends, etc. He took the time to explain everything to me in detail and was able to help me feel comfortable about what can be a very intimidating venture. I am excited to use Southerly Homes as my home builder once I am ready to move forward. Thank you, Nick, for the great service and never making me feel pressured or rushed. I highly recommend.

Southerly had been amazing handling our project! In this day and age with builders at a premium, it can be hard to find one that is responsive, does high quality work, is transparent about costs, and is a partner with you throughout the design and building process. Southerly nailed all of those. Working with them on building our new home has really been a pleasure. They have the experience to navigate you through the building process and their customer service and open communication makes it easy to understand what’s happening, when things are being done, and, if there are any hiccups along the way, what the plan is to deal with them. Our family couldn’t recommend them more!
