I never expected selling a home to be stress-free, but Jennifer served as my agent took the lead - all I had to do was listen to her recommendations and make a few decisions; she handled all of the rest. She recommended a very effective pricing strategy that played out exactly as she said it could, and then handled all of the hundreds of details. She even proved to me that showings were not inherently evil as I originally imagined and feared. If I was ever to sell - or even buy - another home, I would certainly start my search with Redefining Home Real Estate!

We truly appreciated all of Jennifers help in selling our Mom’s house. She exceeded our expectations with her marketing strategies, negotiation skills, and attention to detail. She always came to our rescue when we needed someone to help with the repairs, clean the house, shampoo the carpet, etc. Also, getting the house staged with furniture and decorations at no extra cost was extremely helpful. Jennifer Wilson and Team surpassed expectations of these first time home sellers.Ours is a four-year story with an extremely happy ending. Four years ago, I retired from the military and as a result, my wife and I went through a significant life change. New jobs and new locations lead to new opportunities. Unfortunately, this meant that we would have to relocate and sell our first home. Or so we thought.Despite our expectations for a smooth sell, we learned we had to be flexible to the market. At that time, the “bubble popped”…and the market became flooded with foreclosures. Banks were enjoying Government bailouts, but new home buyers were finding it difficult to secure financing. Homes with the exact size, layout, and neighborhood were selling at $25,000 less than for what we had purchased our home.Jennifer was there to help us from the start. We went ahead and listed our property. She and her team held a great open house, but even after a few weeks, we came to the realization that selling our home at a profit would be highly unlikely. At that point, we sought Jennifer’s advice on other options. Since we still had to downsize our living space and utility costs, we found that renting our house would be a suitable alternative. Because we had our house “show ready”, we had renters within a month after listing it as a rental property. And, for the next few years, we rented the house.This past Spring, Jennifer informed us that the market had bounced back and inventory was low. It appeared to be a sellers’ market. So, we initiated the process of relocating our renters and getting the house back into a “show ready” condition. At that time, Jennifer explained to us that the timeframe for a home sale, from date of listing to contract, was about 46 days for the San Antonio area.The wrinkle in our process was that we lived out of state, so this brought some additional challenges.For the next few weeks, we reviewed the property with Jennifer and determined what needed to be repaired and replaced. Whenever we discovered some significant maintenance issue, Jennifer provided some suggested vendors from her personally-built network of professionals. Once we finalized the maintenance and cosmetic issues, Jennifer brought in her professional Stager…as well as a professional photographer. The result was a show-ready home with a pretty heavy schedule of showings.The end result…we had a contract on our home just under the average time frame, and we closed on the house a full week-and-a-half early.Thanks to Jennifer’s patience, wisdom, and guidance, our sale went through much smoother than we expected. Like most sellers, our anxiety was high. But Jennifer’s calming experience resulted in her patiently educating these first time home sellers. She outlined what should happen and when things should happen. And we simply couldn’t be happier.
