In December of 2020 the decision to move to Texas was finally made. Some family members that were already living there were so excited for us to come. My big sister Tavia, one of the ones excited for us to be in Texas, recommended Melissa Dennis to be our realtor. The first time Melissa and I talked it was an hour-long call. We just connected. I think part of that connection was that we both have strong faith. This faith was the sure foundation we needed, for the journey to our new home would be rocky. Melissa Dennis helped us from the onset of our house search adventure which started in July. We had very short notice from our landlord that our lease would not be renewed because he wanted his father to live there.I believe Melissa had to go over her time budget helping us search for a place large enough or suitable for a family of 8- 2 parents, 2 grandparents, 4 kids, & a big dog. Our tastes run kind of old fashioned & she was very patient with us.. Our first pick was a cute classic farm house but unfortunately the FHA did not approve. We made another offer on a house & had to pull out because of a strong likelihood of nonapproval.Melissa was diligent on all matters, spent hundreds of hours on research, and used many resources.She made sure we always got our refunds back. She was always there when we had questions - we did not get too nervous or anxious because we knew she would help us find the right solution. I would have been in a tight spot had Melissa not come to the rescue. I had to relocate to a specific ISD for custody reasons within a certain timeframe, and there was NOTHING to rent. And the places that were available wouldn’t accept my dogs or denied me due to my credit (bad year going through a divorce). Melissa put a package together about me to present to landlords. AND she found a place in the country that I couldn’t have found or had access to on my own. SHE IS AMAZING! 1000% recommend her!!
