There are indelible moments in our lives that become the deep grooves of memories and chapter headlines of our stories (ie your love story, the birth of your child, loss of a loved one). I never thought that selling a home would be one of those moments. I thought it would be list the house, show the house, sell the house, move. THERE. IS. SO. MUCH. MORE. And my husband and I would not have survived the gauntlet that is home selling had Katrine not been the lighthouse, the captain of the ship, the deckhand, and the chaplain of this adventure.Katrine is the consummate professional. She gave us guidance on the updates that our 33-year-old house would need prior to listing. She encouraged us when home improvements went awry. She applauded us when the efforts were complete. Katrine helped us understand the complete real estate process as sellers as well as answered our questions about purchasing another home in another state simultaneously. It didn’t matter what question we asked or how many times we asked it or needed further explanation, Katrine made sure that we were on solid understanding before advancing.We were under contract for our home within two days on the market and closed within a month (results not typical).
