Julie treated us to first class service every step of the way. As buyers from out-of-town, we needed extra help to learn about the market and survey homes remotely. Julie educated us about the trends in the DFW housing market and was not bashful about steering us away from opportunities that we thought would be good based on her knowledge of neighborhoods. When I made a trip to see our top choices in person, Julie spent the better part of the day driving me around - she is a wonderful person to get to know, too! When we made it to the offer stage, Julie helped immensely by being with the inspector to take extra photos and send me her list of observations. She also helped us save over $10,000 by submitting an offer that was lower than what we initially told her we were thinking. Even after the sale, Julie is still in touch with us and offering help to find local contractors to take care of some of the things we need to fix. Before listing our home we interviewed 3 realtors. 2 of the realtors kept telling us all the reasons why they could NOT get top dollar for our home. Shes the one you want negotiating for you. Shes level-headed, wise, and never gives up.We faced so many unusual situations with the sale of our house. For instance, we had 2 offers with no contingencies at different times where both of the buyers times backed out for no reason of our own (they even had a clean, almost flawless inspection for our property.) My husband and I interviewed 3 realtors. She was the only one that offered it all! A professional photographer who took vivid photos, a stager, a maid service, and a contractor. Overall Jenevieve was good to work with. She was clear and through in her explanation of things and how she would market our home (this was a relocation).Did a good job with staging the home as well and also had a good network of people to help us get the thing we needed done to get the home to sell. Great on getting feed back.The only issue we had was how the dark under side of the Texas real estate market works. Apparently you have to kick in extra money to the buyers agents involved in order for them to push your home toward the buyers. This percent can very 1-2% (maybe more) of the sale price of the home and you the seller pay it. The new home builders in our area did it to sell the new homes so the seller would be asked to consider it as well. Now if this is ever disclosed to buyers is a good question. If I found out that my agent was pushing a home sale to me was not based on my needs but based on can extra payday I would be livid.On our first showing and the last showing we felt that we were encouraged to pay extra to the buyers agent so they could continue to bring our home to fore front of the buyers decision process. Since we were part of a relocation we would be asked to pay this out of our own pocket. We refused and sold the house below our cost anyway with out having to pay extra. We felt his was pushed right out of the gate with out giving our home a chance to sell.I do not like being encouraged to pay an extra 1-2% on home sale to agents that already earning a commission.We also felt a little more guidance on the type of potential buyer we let in to our home would have been good. About a month in I let them know only people who qualified and were ready should be shown our house. We had people going through who had not qualified yet, or had to sell their home (not on the market).
