The Austin real estate market had been very challenging to deal with while I was searching for a new place to call home (small house or large condo near The Arboretum area). During March thru August 2024, I had worked with two previous real estate agents before finding THE BEST aka Hillary Smith with HomeSmith Realty! She has an easily understandable βBuyers Guideβ and explained the new commission bargaining law very well during our first conversation and actually listened to my particular needs. On the FIRST touring visit together, she was able to find the exact place I was wanting at the right price. Her assistant, Michelle, was wonderful as well by filling in the details before closing with Austin Title. Hillary attended my inspection, professionally bargained with the sellerβs agent, did a final walkthrough, and was at closing with me taking detailed notes and providing a smile throughout.
