To set the stage, we are first-time home buyers. We had very little information about the process when we first started taking a look at homes, or what to expect throughout the process. I also work in the service industry and am very aware that it is wildly important to ensure that your clients have the necessary information to make informed decisions and that their expectations are established appropriately and met. Katie Guidry exceeded in both aspects.The amount of effort and time she put into walking us through the process is unbelievable. From the first day that we met, she spent time ensuring we understood the “big picture.” From there on out, she were always available to provide us with the information that we needed – every decision that we made, small or big, mattered to her and she was willing to talk them out with us. Not only did we feel like we had all the information we needed to make those decisions, but we also felt like we were in good hands the entire time.As a first-time buyer, we didn’t know all of the right questions we should be asking (or do’s and don’ts, for example) and Katie would proactively provide this information, which made us feel like we were walking through this process with eyes wide open.Obviously, making an informed decision is the most important part of buying a home. But being emotionally invested as well in buying a home, having someone who properly set, managed, and came through with expectations was such a lifesaver and made us feel so at ease throughout the entire process. We encountered delays from the builder and Katie stayed on top of the process the entire time, keeping us informed of updated timelines, pushing back when we encountered road bumps from the builder, and made us feel like we had someone in our corner the entire time.Knowing we were first/time home buyers, Katie was always so candid and provided her own perspective of different aspects of each home that she thought would be relevant to our decision making based on what she had learned about us. We truly appreciated her input and relied on it heavily. This is an invaluable quality to have as a service provider and not everyone has it, but, IMO, it is crucial to keep those around that do. It’s easy to push paper and get the signatures, but Katie is really focused on making sure people are satisfied through the process and with the outcome. Again, for a first-time home buyer, this process is very stressful. Yes, there are a number of things that people can do to make it easier. But as you can see, based on the above, Katie went above and beyond (as I’m positive they do with all of her clients) and truly made us feel like we had a confidant/partner throughout.Overall, I would strongly recommend Katie to anyone looking to buy or sell a home, especially if they are first-time homebuyers. Her attention to detail and level of time/dedication to her clients is outstanding.

She helped us find our dream home after relocating to Texas from California. Katie listened to our wants and needs in a prospective home and did her own research on homes we were interested in. Once under contract, Katie helped us navigate a few obstacles. She explained all possible options and outcomes to us, and she worked with the sellers to find resolution. Katie kept us regularly informed on all steps of the home buying process and added personalized touches that made us feel valued. She truly went above and beyond with her service. Not only was Katie always happy to help (literally always happy to help, I would have been annoyed at me if I was her but she was always so calm, kind, respectful & understanding of my situation & beyond helpful), she was an advocate for us when we hit bumps in the road.
