From day one, Darrell was amazing! I contacted him earlier in the year looking to buy a house in the summer/early fall time frame. Admittedly, this was a bit early and I just wanted to get started on the process so that I wasnt behind on anything when it came up. He worked with me on my schedule and made sure that I was taken care of at the right pace and times. When it came closer to actually looking at houses and finding the one, he was incredibly knowledgeable on the Austin area and made sure that I ended up with that same knowledge by the end of the process. I really learned a lot from him and he provided his opinions and really good insights on different properties we visited. When negotiations came, he was also right on top of it. He fought to get the best deal possible and talked me through different approaches in terms of lenders and loans. By the end of it we were able to get a lot more off than I was initially anticipating! Working with Darrell has been the utmost pleasure and if I have friends starting to looking into buying a house, Id recommend him in a second!

Working with Darrell Brew was an amazing experience. My husband and I were first-time homebuyers, but had engaged in the home-buying process a few times before because we were originally convinced that we wanted to buy a home in California. We reached out to Darrell when we finally decided to buy in the Austin area after finding him on the Realty Austin website. He was very knowledgeable about the areas, familiar with California, and suggested some neighborhoods based on our desires. When we came to Austin to visit the areas, they all were exactly the type of places where we would want to be. He listened to our desires and what style of home that we preferred, and showed us houses that were so spot on with what we wanted that it was hard to choose!Once we decided on a home, we entered into contract for a new build. Darrell didnt ditch us at that point, which was our past experience when we were working with a realtor in California a few years ago. He stuck with us, and was still happy to answer our questions, attend meetings, and help give us perspective on what to prioritize when it came to the home design options.Once we had been in the contract for a couple months, they disclosed something about the house that we could not accept. We backed out of the contract and started back at square one. There was no guilt trip at all from Darrell about this--he encouraged us to do whatever we thought was best and he would continue to help us. We saw more areas, and almost entered into a contract for a different house, when we finally decided to go with the same builder, same neighborhood, and just choose a different house. Darrell supported us throughout the entire journey. He would drive by as they were building, ask questions, and follow-up when the builder lapsed in communication.There were many situations we ran into while building during the COVID-19 pandemic, for example:--Vital board meetings were delayed for months that needed to approve our plans because of the heritage tree that sits on our lot--The builder began building the wrong floor plan--The significant delay due to the lumber shortage/ supply chain disruptionsIf Darrell wasnt willing to partner with us as we navigated these issues, the house wouldve been ready even later than it already was (8 months later than promised; an entire year after we entered into contract). Darrell called the builder, communicated with the construct manager, pushed back when the builder wanted us to accept the incorrect floor plan (which wouldve left us with 3 bedrooms instead of 4), and relayed all the information to us in a timely manner.When it was all said and done, we worked with Darrell for almost exactly 2 years. He was kind, responsive, flexible, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Darrell has been such a pleasure that he feels like family now! We highly recommend working with Darrell and will definitely be calling him when its time for us to move again!!!

As a first time home buyer with lots of boxes to tick and a pretty strict budget, I was super nervous in looking for a house. Darrell eased all those nerves. Hes knowledgeable, not only to realty but laws, regulations, and just plain ole home ownership advice. Not only that, hes extremely active, to closing and beyond. Hes constantly looking into ways to make everything fit into your budget and talking with sellers, contractors, financing, and more to make sure youre not getting the short end of the stick from any angle.Whenever it seemed like nothing would work, Darrell would suggest more/alternative routes and options in order to make that purchase a reality. I thought a new build was out of the question so naturally never even considered it but once he chipped the idea, I was sold.I just closed on my place a few days ago as of this review, and I never thought this process would be so smooth and stress-free, which I owe all to Darrell.So seriously, stop looking elsewhere and give him a call!
