Couto homes is absolutely AMAZING to work with. Josh and Hanna are second to none. But, I CANNOT say enough about how amazing our Project Manager Scott was! I don’t know what the word limit here is so I’ll try to keep this short and sweet. We built with Couto in 2021, our house burned down in 2023 and we re-built with them from the slab up. The first time was during Covid, a different CEO at the time and just not the most fun process. The home they built was outstanding we just had frustrating things and it took longer than expected. I say all this to say that if you are reading any negative reviews from 2022 or before you need to know things have changed!!! The second time around was a completely different experience and in the absolute best way. Start to finish we were met with professionalism, heart and attention to detail. Jared was amazing at getting the job going and Mariah is an absolute joy and has incredible taste and the ability to help with design. Donny Couto himself reached out to us after our fire to put us in an available model home and went above and beyond to personally reach out and check in throughout the process. Jim Elliot is the GOAT when it comes to home building and he makes sure that you don’t end up with anything less than perfect. He says it like it is and doesn’t blow smoke which I appreciate. We move into our beautiful home tomorrow and I’m so grateful for not only Couto as a company but for the people. When reading reviews realize that building a home is NEVER perfect and there will always be frustrations but at the end of the day what matters is the end result and the people who stand behind it. Couto knocked it out of the park on both accounts. 👏

Currently in the process of building our Couto home, and we can’t say enough about how pleasant the experience has been. The professionalism exhibited from the first call to get an appointment to now has been truly amazing. We have met so many wonderful people, and they have become family. The initial meeting with Gerrico was phenomenal. We left there so energized and ready to begin our new home process. Next, we met with Alden, and he took us on a journey. We had some extensive conversations around our wants and expectations. He walked us through every design of the room and shared his insights on our thoughts and ideas. He really became our go-to person for everything. Now on to the design phase, we really can’t thank Shawna enough. She shared so much knowledge about design concepts and trends with us, which helped us design our home with ease. Then we moved to the permit phase, where we must say Stacey is really a true gem. She has so much patience and understanding, merged with her, Well get through it attitude is a breathe of fresh air. Then, our project managers Clint and Bret. They have communicated with us and shared so much field knowledge. Their experience and expertise has given us a sense of comfort and let us know that we are in great hands. All of the weekly updates have kept us up to date with current progress. You can never forget the other heroes, the individuals in the background, working tirelessly behind the scenes - Dillon, Jared and Hanna to name a few. We recently had the privilege of working with Couto Homes to build our dream home, and the experience was outstanding. From start to finish, Bret, the general contractor and overseer of the entire project, went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled with precision and care. His professionalism, responsiveness, overall knowledge, and attention to detail made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. He is a great guy to have on your team and I can’t recommend him more highly.The craftsmanship of our home is remarkable. We are especially impressed with the brickwork—it’s absolutely stunning and has drawn compliments from everyone who visits. Every detail throughout the house reflects the skill of the crew. After doing extensive research on home builders, we stumbled upon Couto Homes! My husband and I fell in love with their beautiful custom homes. I’ve spent countless hours playing along with their interactive floor plans on their website. We decided to get more information and walked in on a random Monday morning and spoke with their fabulous customer service rep (at the time), Gerrico.Gerrico sat us down and went over the included features, pricing, showed us their awesome online client portal. After saying we were interested; she set up an appointment with our Home Specialist, Alden Couto! Alden was and IS incredible! He listened to our requests on changing the Glenwood floor plan. Alden and Stacey helped A LOT with our issues regarding permits, surveys, and etc. They were very patient and eager to help with anything!We were assigned to Hanna, our amazing Design Specialist. She helped us with all of our selections which were paint colors, flooring, carpet, tile, you name it! I’d recommend having a Pinterest board before you have your selection meeting! If not, you’ll feel a little lost but that’s not a problem, Hanna will be by your side to help you with everything!Once, we had the green light on proceeding on breaking ground, we were assigned to our phenomenal Project Manager, Scott! Scott made sure everything went smoothly on the construction project. His attention to detail was outstanding! Scott updated us with weekly reports and would update the online Client Portal with pictures frequently! He was very professional and proficient! Quick to respond our text messages, as well. Couto Homes is very lucky to have him on their team!What a blessing to start the new year with a stunning home! We are so thrilled to move in!We would recommend Couto Homes to anyone who is looking for a Custom Home Builder or purchasing one of their homes on their lot!

Being new to the area, when we found the perfect house plan, we had no idea the builder was one of (I would say THE) best in the state. Walking in to meet our team for the first time was not only welcoming, but informative and we were confident our dream home was in good hands. From going through options and making changes to the floor plan, picking out options for everything, and working hand-in-hand with our project manager, everyone was extremely knowledgeable and we could not have asked for a more perfect experience. Ive heard one of the hardest things you can do is build a home. We did not experience that at all. We are proud and happy to be part of the Couto family.

I am currently on the process of building my second home with Couto. From the beginning it has been such a great experience. Everyone in the front office were super helpful in answering questions to help us decide which floor plan to build. We worked with Alden and he did an amazing job helping us customize or floor plan. Shawna helped us design our first house so we asked to have her design this one. She did an outstanding job helping us pick everything that would make our house awesome. Josh Wooten is the PM for our build. He has been great at keeping us informed of everything going on and answering any questions we have had along the way. Couto is an amazing group of people that I have enjoyed working with very much.

Couto Homes did an amazing job from day one helping us pick out, design, make changes, give opinions, work with us patiently and build our very first home. Joey was our contractor and within the first week became our very good friend. Meetings out at the build site werent just to talk about how the house was coming along. Joey would ask us how we were doing and we would have good conversations about totally different things. The way he treated us made us feel very comfortable about asking him to do certain things and change certain things we didnt like about our build. Anything we asked him, he would get it done and his crew wouldnt waste any time doing it. It almost seems like he was building the house for himself. Our home is now almost 5 years old and is still just as beautiful as it was the first day we moved in. I am very pleased with the workmanship and the quality of our Couto home. I highly recommend Couto Homes!!!

We made the move from Florida to Granbury, TX 10 months ago when we moved into our new custom home by Couto Homes. Aside from one visit to the Couto Homes amazing design center to make all of the selections for our new home, we experienced our new home build entirely, from an empty lot to our completed new home REMOTELY! We could not have done this without the professionalism and expertise of our Couto Homes project manager Michael Morales and senior project manager Randy McGuffy who were assigned to us. They both went above and beyond our expectations. We received weekly and sometimes daily updates with photos and videos as our team built our home. Every aspect of our experience with Couto Homes was positive, pleasant and professional beginning with our home specialist and design specialist in the design center who helped us design our new home exactly how we envisioned. We were amazed at what comes standard and how many options are available to truly customize your new home. The vendors used by Couto Homes were all top notch. Again, very professional, hard working and conscientious of their work while maintaining excellent quality. We found this in every aspect of our build. Three vendors in particular stood out during our construction. Our brick masons, Tony and crew were impeccable, absolutely beautiful brick and stonework. Luxury Trim provided gorgeous custom trim work throughout our home and were meticulous with every detail. Our tile work was beautifully done, details were perfection. We trusted Michael, our project manager implicitly to oversee the entire process of building our new home. IF an issue came up, ( in our case some supply availability issues ) he communicated with us immediately and we resolved together and avoided any delays in construction. We saw our new home for the first time in person only days before we closed and took ownership. We couldn’t have been happier. As with all new homes, there are always some little thing that needs addressed after move in and Couto Homes was quickly on the spot to take care of any and all issues. Once the warranty period kicked in, we used the warranty procedures put into place on the Couto website and it has worked seamlessly and smoothly. Randy took full charge and has stayed on top of every warranty issue that needed addressed during this time. We are almost through our first year and we can now say that we are so impressed with the quality of our new home from the workmanship and materials which meet the highest expectations to the excellent customer service. The structure is sound and very well insulated standing up to the Texas weather. We have a quality built home that will stand the test of time. We sure hope this our last home, but if we every do build again, we would not hesitate to work with Couto Homes. It has been our pleasure and honor to become a proud homeowner of and a part of the Couto custom build family. Our builder Jim always answered my calls and was very informative in keeping me advised as to my questions or status of the project. The design team of Rob and Shawna were awesome in helping get our floorplan and design exactly how we liked it and with their professional touch of class!! All the trades folks were great also, allowing us to be overly impressed with every tile, piece of granite, lights, flooring, paint, fixtures, appliances and landscaping. Well, I just cannot even wait for our home to be done to write a review! Maybe I’ll write another when it’s done! Our entire experience with Couto Homes has been wonderful! Let me tell you, in this world right now of waiting for materials, windows, doors, etc… we have not had the problems that other home builders have. We have been so delighted with everyone there! Gerrico welcomed us with open arms and helped us with all the questions on the front end! She is excellent at her job and we came in to the whole process with a smile because of G. Then, of course Chelsea swooped in and befriended us and was the absolute best at keeping us (and the whole world) informed with marketing pictures, email blasts and the best social media around. I’ve said this before, but one of the main reasons we chose Couto is because they are a family and they do great things for their community. Chelsea is always posting about a blood drive, picking up trash on the highway, & decorating the Christmas tree on the Granbury square. The Couto employees do this together. We love that! Good job, Chelsea! We loved our design specialists and we are in love with our floor plan as it comes to life in the Bella Crossing neighborhood in Fort Worth. We really loved attending the design events for new clients. They served wine and charcuterie while taking us around their showroom so we could look at all our design options going forward. It was so much fun not only seeing our possible selections but possibly meeting new neighbors! And then we met Brittany. Mic drop! We love her so, so much! She is not only talented at what she does, but she keeps us abreast of the latest information and shoots it straight to us. We appreciate that more than she will ever know! Couto really does a great job at hiring! We also have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Zeke several times. He is very present at the office and is a joy to speak with. All I can say about Zeke is that he truly cares about making our new home what we want. Speaking of people who care, our project manager, Ed, is the best. Period! He truly cares about making us happy and he has said from day one that this is our house and he wants it to be what we want. We always ask him for advice and he gives it but he always ends with “This is your home.” On many occasions, Ed has come to the rescue and done beyond his call of duty for us. Thank you, Ed! Our home is more than halfway completed and although we will be thrilled to moved in, I will be sad not talking to these experts daily! They will certainly get a happy hour invitation! In conclusion, if you are thinking about building a home, please consider COUTO Homes. The quality and craftsmanship is beautiful and financially obtainable.Their professionalism is amazing! Sorry we are a bit late, but on September 2nd, 2022 Nicole Miller, McKenna, Britley, and I closed on our HOME in Godley, Texas!Couto Homes; Dillon Flowers Mariah Sojourner are some pretty spectacular folks. Not only were they amazing to work with professionally, they are the kind of people youd love to have in your network. The girls still cant wait for a pizza party with the two who made our dreams come true. Weve been taken care of from day one through our build project from Barbara Baugher, Rob, Jim, Dillon Flowers, Mariah Sojourner, Chelsea, and everyone at Couto. Kudos to Couto Homes and making a a few dreams come true. Anyone looking to build in the greater DFW area and specifically the south / western area of DFW - youd be foolish not to consider Couto Homes. Do your homework, come with a plan, dont deviate from it, and be as responsible to your project as you can be. Be engaged - make decisions; and hold them to the standard they represent. After reading many reviews, watching testimonials, visits to model homes and viewing homes under construction, we decided several years ago that Couto would build our forever home. Our primary objective was to have a beautiful quality-built home and we were not disappointed. Because we chose, Couto, a prominent custom home builder, we were able to choose features that make our home unique and perfect for us. Making so many choices was almost overwhelming. However, because Couto has a very orderly process and extremely talented people, it was enjoyable.We found a Couto lot near Weatherford that was perfect for us. Gerrico was very professional, and extremely helpful with getting things started. She was always very prompt in responding to our many questions and arranged for us to attend a design workshop followed by a home specialist meeting.Josh, our Home Specialist, was instrumental in guiding us to what would be the perfect floor plan to fit our needs and desires. We were very impressed with his knowledge and experience that insured it was a smooth and orderly process. A special thanks to James, our CAD designer as well. Both he and Josh had some awesome suggestions that we are very pleased with.Shawna, our Design Specialist was very knowledgeable and professional and guided us through our selection process. She arranged for visits to various vendors and guided us through additional selections in their impressive design studio. It was truly a pleasure working with her and we are very pleased with the selections we made with her skillful guidance.A special thanks to Randy for reviewing the final plans and helping us select the perfect site for our home. We then worked with Jim, our Sr. Product Manager throughout the construction process. We can not say enough about Jim and his professionalism and attention to detail. Because we did not live in the area, we depended on him to keep us updated and address any questions we had. He was always very quick to respond when we reached out and he posted photos in the Couto Build Tools App so we could see the progress. If we noticed any issues, he was very quick to react and address them. He also kept tabs on the day-to-day work being done and would not hesitate to have things redone if they did not meet his standards. Because of his oversight our home was completed in only 7 months. With all the supply chain issues throughout all industries at the time, this was very impressive. Though the home was completed almost 3 months ago, we can still reach out to him with any questions we may have and he is always very responsive and helpful. Jim is a true professional who is very skilled at his job, and we greatly appreciate his dedication which insured we now have the home we dreamt of.We would also like to acknowledge the other professionals at Couto that helped behind the scenes, and they have our gratitude.

I just toured a new home built by Couto Homes, and I have to say, I was absolutely amazed. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that this wasn’t just any house—it was something special. The attention to detail is incredible. You can see the quality in everything, from the flooring to the light fixtures. It’s clear that Couto Homes puts a lot of care into their work.The layout of the home was really well thought out. The rooms flow beautifully, making it feel both spacious and cozy at the same time. The kitchen, in particular, really stood out to me. It’s not just stylish but also super functional, with plenty of counter space and high-end appliances that any home cook would love.What really struck me was how much the home felt like a place I’d want to live in. It’s hard to describe, but there’s just a warmth and comfort to it that you don’t always find. Choosing a company to build the home youve been dreaming of for 20 years is not a task to be taken lightly. What first lead us to Couto was what we found right here on Google...a nearly 5 star rating. We then talked to other builders and spoke with people who had built both with Couto and with others... and kept just coming back to Couto. We actually had 2 other local builders tell us that with our budget and what we were looking to build, Couto was the way to go for high quality workmanship and no cutting corners, while staying in budget.Building a home during a pandemic, labor and material shortages, and some of the largest cost increases in history is hard. I mean really hard.... I would be lying if I said every moment of the journey was easy and fun. But, the communication, level of customer service, and dealing with a staff who seem to have really cared about us as people (not just a construction project) was definitely what made the process with Couto enjoyable and exciting!Couto allowed us to make so many changes and customizations to the floorplan and finishes to suit how we live, that our home is almost not recognizable as the original standard floorplan that we chose. THAT was important to us, because we would have NEVER found a house just like this one. Like with any home construction there were challenges, however many could have been avoided had the assigned project manager listened to the customer. It is their home after all. Outside of the normal grievances (delays during design phase, specs not being executed correctly), the closing date was pushed a month and then the home sat for 2-3 weeks with little to no activity. On day of closing, painting and other punch out was being done. It was a rush and I had movers lined up so no choice but to close without a proper walk through opportunity. However, I will give kudos and note of sincere appreciation to Collin and Scott. These two did their best to make things right, always fair and took time to listen. I wish they’d been the main POCs during the entire process. In the end, I enjoy my home and the challenging times fade. But thank you to Collin and Scott!

Some homes we purchased, some were assigned base housing. For the entirety of my spouse’s career, we have had very little choice when it came to our living situation.Three years ago, we were finally at a position to start building our forever home. Couto was our choice, but I still had that “boxed in” feeling, like I was stuck to their designs available online only. There were plenty to choose from that suited our needs, but they weren’t “ours,” if that makes sense? As a result, I literally searched other builders high and low, hoping to make “our” home, not a designed home online.Fast forward to decision time, although I encountered a handful of other amazing companies, no one was able to match the “Couto Family” feeling. Even when life caused us a year delay, they accommodated our needs. In addition, we completely altered the design spec, flipping, stretching, and adding…Couto accommodated and exceeded our expectations!I had been so happy with the process and then it was time to break ground.Enter our Project Manager, Scott. He is THE most proactive PM I have ever encountered! Not only were we building our “own” modified version of our forever home, but we were receiving regular updates, given choices with regards to small things…like “This outlet looks off, would you like us to move it,” and larger things like placement of water heaters. Scott’s response time is unmatched! In fact, several times we drafted messages to him and intentionally did not hit send until Monday morning. We knew that if we had sent it, even if it was a Saturday night, he would attend to our needs.Our designer was amazing!!! We came to Shawna with very different color pallets in mind, and as they say, most couples argue and fight through the building process, or any construction for that matter. Our experience was quite the opposite, choosing designs and colors and building materials was downright delightful! Her guidance and ability to help us visualize what our home would look like was invaluable!With both Shawna and Scott, anything we overlooked was quickly brought to our attention and together we worked through solutions. In fact, the punch list was so minimal that it truly felt like a seamless transition between walking through our home and seeing crews working, to living in it!I share this story because building a home should be something attainable for everyone, and it should be an exciting process. With Couto, this has shown me that although there are many builders to choose from, you cannot put a price on working with a company that truly cares. We felt valued, that our opinions mattered, and all of our needs and wants were met.I am so grateful we gave them a chance!

I gave them a one star review because I had water damage and I was only in my house for 2 years.Coutos called that same day I left a review. Vicky came and fixed everything!!! She is literally the BEST! She walked through my house saw all the things that I myself didn’t like as well.She worked better than my project manager Dillion and Clint.Call for Vicky and Ask for Vicky!!’ She’s honestly the best and will get the work done.

I purchased a house from Couto Homesback in July 2015. Every thing Donny saidhe would do he did and then some. JoeyCouto is the man in making sure your housegets built to plan and keeps the subs inline. we talked to a lot of other buildersbefore Couto Homes. We are very happy with our Couto Home. If you are building in this area, you need to visit with them as they are simply are the best. The build was exciting and difficult. It was difficult due to our quirky needs and the issues going on in the world: Wildfires, Tornados, Covid, Supply Chain Shortages, and epic Snowstorms. I mean it was a test of determination and Coutos team rose to and conquered it. It all started with Rob Martin. He was patient and helpful when we needed assistance with all of the things that go into designing a house. He volunteered things that we needed to consider and let us quibble when it was inconsequential. This yielded the perfect design for us. Then Alan Greer took the floorplan and managed the trades, equipment, and supplies. Even with all of the adversity, he honored our goal for the start of school. He worked hard to manage the project and when things did not go as planned he called for backup from Joey Couto and Randy McGuffey who immediately worked to get things resolved. Often it is said that a company stands behind their work. Couto Homes did just that! In each and every interaction, with each and every employee, this statement was not only lived up to but was exceeded. See for yourself. You cannot go wrong with Couto Homes!

Incredible experience top to bottom. From the beginning working with architects and designers, during the build communicating with the project manager, all the way to closing and beyond, Couto has done a beautiful job giving us our dream home.After retiring from military service, we moved back home to Texas from California so this build was started from out of state. Couto Homes made an undertaking we were very concerned about as easy as it could have possibly been. Working over the phone and via the computer, things came together seamlessly until we were able to move to Granbury about halfway through the build. From that point it was great to watch the process. We threw in some changes and curveballs along the way and Couto navigated them with zero issue. The house turned out just as we had imagined.Thank you to the entire Couto Homes team for everything!

We have owned our home for 2 years and 2 months. We had a problem with the main A/C unit and it leaked through the ceiling into the dining room a couple months after moving in. Josh with Couto was there in 45 min of the initial call. Fast forward to this week. The same issue occurred and the same service occurred. Keep in mind we are out of the one year warranty. I spoke to Collin and Joey and its taken care of. In my experience when I have had a problem (which we all will), they go above and beyond. Communication is the key. They do whats right.
