A few years ago, my wife and I were mobile-home shopping during the COVID housing crunch. Pat Olsen showed us a home and we instantly liked her. We didnt get that home, but got another in the same park. When we decided to sell recently, we both wanted Pat to represent us. Julie Bayer is a fantastic realtor! She is friendly, kind, tough when necessary, and fully on top of the local real estate market. Our family worked with Julie for over a year from out of state to find and buy a home in the Eastern Sierra / Bishop area that would work for us. We recently had the to move my mom into an assisted living facility and decided to sell her home to cover the costs. Since we live in Northern California we got in touch with our local agent and close friend Jill Cherne. We asked her if she knew a good real estate agent in Bishop that can handle our remote transaction and she recommended Nancy Lowthorp.From our first conversation we knew that Nancy was the right person to take care of the sale of my mom’s home. We live out of the Bishop area so we trusted Nancy to overcome any issues that would and did come up. She did an analysis of the property and recommended that as a modular home we could get a higher selling price if we installed a permanent foundation. Nancy not only secured a reliable contractor to do the work but also was on top of making sure all other repairs were done correctly.Nancy is one of those rare agents that truly goes above and beyond the norm. She made numerous trips to the house to check on everything from the landscaping, contractor repairs, making sure the house was vacant and when the weather starting getting cold by checking on the heating system to prevent pipes from freezing. With Nancy’s advice we adjusted the selling price correctly. Nancy Lowthrop was my realtor when I purchased my house in Bishop Ca in 2000. I met her 5 years before while I was still in the Navy and first began looking at properties in the Bishop area. She was patient and knowledgeable and she always made herself available when I came to town and wanted to look at homes, (Usually about once a year back then.) When I retired from the Navy and decided to make the move to Bishop, Nancy found me the perfect house and worked with me throughout the entire process. She was simply fantastic.Fast forward 20 years. I chose Nancy Lowthrop to sell my house in Bishop for a number of reasons, first I knew her and trusted her, and secondly because Id had such a great experience working with her 20 years earlier.This was a difficult sale; I no longer lived in Bishop and the house, while in very good condition, needed some repairs.
